In the sight of Allah, the case of Jesus is similar to the case of Adam. Allah created him from clay, then said “Be!” then he was.
Tafsir
Since Allah (swt) knows with His eternal knowledge that people will attribute shortcomings to Allah. The Holy Qur'an informs us with its verses that Hazrat Jesus is similar to Hazrat Adam in terms of creation, thereby cutting off any doubts that may come to people's minds.
Allah created Hazrat Adam from clay and gave him his soul. He adorned him with human form by giving him life and soul. In other words, His intention was to create a human being. He intended to start the human body with Hazrat Adam. He made the human being appear in the form of a human being with the verse that says, "We only say 'be' and it happens". Hazrat Jesus is just like Hazrat Adam. Just as Adam was created without a father and without a mother, Jesus was created by Allah's power of creation. Although there seems to be no difference between the creation of the two, the creation of Adam was even more difficult than the creation of Jesus. Yet nothing is difficult for Allah. But creation without a father is different. Creation without mother and father is even more different. One is creation out of nothing and the other is creation out of existence. According to this, why do those who call Jesus the son of Allah and ascribe shirk to Allah not call Adam the son of Allah? Accordingly, according to their understanding, Hazrat Adam is most worthy of the title of the son of Allah.
They know that Jesus is not the son of Allah. But what they do is to put the blame of their sinful deeds on Jesus and to satisfy their own ego by calling him the son of Allah. Christians today who believe in Jesus Christ do not believe in Jesus Christ until the moment of death. If they believed in Jesus Christ, they would have been introduced to the Holy Qur'an and come to life. At the moment of death, when life is in their throats and the doors of repentance are closed, they see Jesus Christ as a savior and want to believe in him.
What is said in the video
O
people! You who call Jesus the son of Allah! Look what Allah Almighty says in His verse: In the sight of Allah, the case of Jesus is like the case of Adam. Adam too was created without a father. He granted him a body of clay, then He gave him a soul. Is it harder to make a body of clay, give it a soul and bring it to life? Or is it harder to produce goods in a factory already in place? Of course, creating from nothing is harder. Once that factory is set up, producing (?) goods from it is very simple. So, just as Adam, without a father, was created from clay, Jesus too, without a father, was brought into the world by Mary.
Allah Almighty is neither Jesus' father, nor did Jesus ever say, 'Allah is my father' — he did not say it. Jesus said this: Allah is your Lord and my Lord too, he said. What is this? What is this? I am a mortal, a human like you, he said. There is no difference between you and me, he said. So those who turn their backs on Allah, to associate partners with Allah, surely by their own deeds and actions, how will they prove their kufr in the world? This is how they will prove it. Now what does it say? In the sight of Allah, the case of Jesus is like the case of Adam. Allah created him from earth. Then He said to him 'Be', and he was.
Yes.
Allah created him from earth. He said to him 'Be', and he was. Just as He created him from earth, just as He gave him life, and as He created our mother Eve from his left rib — in this way, He set up the human factory. So, since our souls, which He had created earlier, to the barzakh He had raised, bringing them to the world, from this human factory He set up from Adam and Eve — so that those who gave their covenant in the barzakh realm, what kind of people they are, would bear witness to themselves — into this realm of mulk, called a (?) realm, His bringing of people — through Adam and Eve, through the people He produced from the factory, He brought this about.
He brought those souls from the world, I mean, from the barzakh realm into the world. So producing that soul in a ready factory is very easy. But being created from earth, and His saying 'Be' and it being, is very hard. Here He said 'Be', and it was — it did not happen at once.
He said 'Be', but it did not happen at once. Everyone says it like that: Allah said 'Be', and it was. If He had said 'Be' and it had been at once — He created the heavens in two days, the earth in two days, and what is between them in two days. He created it in exactly six days, it says. If a thousand years of this world are like one day of the hereafter, then in six thousand years He created it.
So the meaning of 'Be' is in this sense. Our Lord creates what He wills. He creates. For Him there is no — no. When He says 'Be', it is; He makes it, He creates it. But over time. Over time.
Imam al-Ghazali says the same. In the Ihya Ulum al-Din. 'That foolish man says,' he says — he uses exactly this expression. 'That foolish man says: Allah Almighty said Be, and it simply was.' Now, that those who speak of it this way have reached a certain place in the sight of Allah Almighty is certain, (?) clear. Where is that certain place? Where is it? Safiyah?
So he too is the mujtahid of his time. So he too is the appointed one of his time, its qutb. How do you know, Hodja? In that nafs-i safiyah lies the secret of secrets. This secret of secrets: how certain created beings are created complete and without any lack — such that no created being could say to Allah Almighty, 'You created me for this duty, but You left me lacking in this' — His creating it so, and showing this to those He created, to those He loves. This is the secret of secrets. It is not possible for us to tell it either.
And this too does not happen just by saying 'Be'.
This world is a likeness and shadow of the hereafter. Just as you make a project, you turn it this way and that, with its gaps completing it, completing its gaps many times, until you make it complete.
So when He says 'Be', by His will, He creates, then brings it forth.
Here, having explained this part this much, let us explain our tafsir, let us read it. Since Allah Almighty knew that people would ascribe attributes to Allah, by His eternal knowledge, in the Holy Quran through His verses, by telling us that Jesus, in terms of his creation, resembles Adam, the questions that would come to people's minds He cuts off. How beautiful.
Just as Adam was created — he was created without a father. Jesus too was created like that. Allah Almighty created Adam from mud and gave him of His spirit. Giving him life and outcome, He (?) him in human form. That is, His will was to create a human. His will.
When I say here 'to create a human', the human body is what He willed to create. It was to create the human body, its frame, its outward body. Yes, to begin the human body with Adam He willed — we have already written that. In the verse He said, We only say 'Be', and it is — with that verse, He gave the human his outward appearance in human form.
Jesus too is exactly like Adam. Just as Adam, created without father or mother, was created by Allah's power to create, so Jesus too is a creation without a father.
Although there seems to be no difference between the two creations, the creation of Adam is even harder than that of Jesus.
Though nothing is hard for Allah. But being created without a father is one thing. Being created without mother and father is quite another.
One is a case of coming into being from nothing, the other of coming into being from something.
Accordingly, those who — God forbid — call Jesus the son of Allah, who associate partners with Allah, why do they not say 'son of Allah' of Adam? By this, according to their understanding — God forbid — the one most worthy of the title 'son of Allah' is Adam.
According to their understanding. I do say 'God forbid'. Why? Adam is more worthy. Because there is neither mother nor father. If Allah subsists by His essence, He created an Adam from His essence. So he is His son. He is more worthy, if you look at it that way. Because he was created with neither mother nor father. Was he created from nothing? So our Lord, by saying the creation of Jesus is just like Adam's, that there is no other god but Allah, that Allah has neither family nor child, that He is lem yelid ve lem yûled, not one with family and children, that He subsists by His essence — He proves it to us with His every word.
Yes.
They know too that Jesus is not the son of Allah. They know it too. In fact, until they die they do not believe in Jesus. They do not believe.
But it is to put the blame for the swamp of sin they make on Jesus, and, by calling him the son of Allah, through Jesus to make their own nafs feel sweet. What will they say? We believed in him as the son of Allah; we followed his path, they will say. God forbid, Jesus did not show them the path they follow. Jesus said: There is no god but Allah. Be servants of Allah; I am Allah's servant and Messenger, he said.
Now you understand the intentions of non-Muslims, of the Christians. (?) By saying, 'Sir, we follow the path of Jesus,' they will satisfy their selfish desires on earth. According to the verse that says, They are like four-legged beasts (?) roaming the earth, they will act. Then, deifying their nafs with their selfish desire, all their sin they will blame on Jesus. (?) Allah Almighty will call Jesus into His presence. O Jesus, did you tell them, 'I am the son of Allah'? He will say. I am telling you verses. I am not saying it from my own mind; these are verses. And Jesus: Glory be to You, my Allah.
You know that I said no such thing. They are slandering me, he will say. Yes. Because there are witnesses. Who are these witnesses?
On the right and on the left, the noble angels (?) will write down what they did. And they will see that whatever was done, small or slight, in the hereafter, their books are laid out before them. Woe to us, they will say. I am explaining verses, verses. This is spoken language, but these are verses. Woe, they will say. So they cannot blame Jesus, and what they did, with regret, before them will be laid out. Then they will beg Allah Almighty. Is there no way out back to the world once more? Let us worship You there. Even if We sent you back not once but several more times, you would do the same thing again, He will say. What is the reason?
Those characters, that rebellion, turning one's back on one's Lord with one's partial will, being rebellious to Him — if he had these characters written for himself as destiny, then to the world not once but a million times he might come, he would still do the same thing.
The Christians of our time who believe in Jesus, until the moment of death, do not believe in Jesus. I am not saying it; Allah Almighty says it in His verse, and these words I speak are verses. (?) think these are my own talk; these are all verses, but I say them in spoken language. Indeed, if they believed in Jesus, they would be honoured with the Holy Quran and find life. Because in the Injil (?) Quran, these, at the moment of death, when the soul reaches the throat, when the doors of repentance are closed, see Jesus as a saviour and want to believe, want to believe.
We have finished verse 59 as well.
