(Oh My Messenger) Say; “Oh people of the Book! Come to a common word between ourselves and yourselves. Let us not worship anyone other than Allah, let us not associate partners with Allah and let us not set Allah aside and make some (people) deities for some others”. If they turn away, say “so, be witnesses that we are Muslims”.
Tafsir
O Jews and Christians to whom the Book has been given. (Let us come to a covenant which is common between you and us. Let us worship none but Allah, and let us not equate anything with Him, and let us not make some of us gods apart from Allah). Let us not worship anything other than Allah, the Eternal and Everlasting One, the Owner of all that exists, the One who is the owner of all that exists, and the One who is acquainted with the attributes of Essence and perfection. Let us not equate anything with Allah, let us not equate Jesus Christ with Allah by calling him the son of Allah. Let us not deify one another. Let us not choose a commander over us and worship him by liking the words of people who speak in the direction of our nafs.
(If they still turn away from Allah after seeing so much truth, then bear witness that we are Muslims.) Allah, who has made a covenant with our souls in the previous worlds, has programmed these worlds by giving us our will as destiny in the direction of our desires and wishes. He knows very well who is shaki and who is muttaqi. He has also made us human beings witnesses against our own souls, saying to those who disobey Allah, we are Muslims. That is to say, we are those who obey Allah and submit to Him, to Him is our return, and to Allah is the owner of the Day of Reckoning.
What is said in the video
Surah Al Imran, verse 64 says: Say, my Messenger: O People of the Book, come to a word that is common between you and us: let us worship none but Allah, and not associate anything with Him, and let none of us, forsaking Allah, take others of us as gods. If they turn away, then say: Bear witness that we are Muslims, it says.
Within this verse, all of us live through many events.
Through their inventions, people come to deify people. Or, adopting those persons' ideas, as if worshipping him, they follow the person's ideas and turn their backs on Allah and His Messenger.
They fall into a kind of shirk.
Whatever setting you are in, whatever state you are in.
Like Bilal the Abyssinian: on the scorching desert, by his hands and feet he was crucified, and they put a hot rock on his chest. Of the idols in their hands they said: Say 'I worship this one', and we will set you free. He still kept saying La ilaha illallah. He kept saying Allah is One. Yes. So you too, in this situation, tell them: Bear witness. It wants you to say: We are Muslims. We are Muslims. O Jews and Christians, who were given the Book, you who call Jesus the son of Allah, between you and us let us come to a common word. Let us worship none but Allah. Let us associate nothing with Him, and let none of us, forsaking Allah, take others as gods. Other than Allah, the eternal and everlasting, there is no god; He is the owner of all these beings, endowed with the attributes of essence and perfection — let us worship none other than Allah.
Let us associate nothing with Allah. Let us not make Jesus equal to Allah by calling him the son of Allah. Let none of us deify others because we like their words. Let us not, liking the words of people who speak as our nafs wishes, choose them as commanders over us and worship them.
Yes.
In a certain way you may deny. In a certain way.
Surrendered to Allah, with your tongue too — to escape the torment: if they torment you over your words, if they have put you through very great torture, you may deny with your tongue.
Yes.
if, after seeing this much truth, they still turn away from Allah, then say: Bear witness that we are Muslims; that is, the oneness of Allah — that all this creation, beyond human power, these created things, could only be created by a Creator, that all these worlds are furnished with knowledge, that nothing is by chance — had it been chance, here and there we would see many more things arising, haphazard beings ruling all around. That there is no such thing, that everything was created by its Creator as the most beautiful and most perfect — even though we see it was so created, how can we deny Allah? — say this. If they still persist, say: We are of the Muslims, and part from them.
So if, after seeing this much truth, they still turn away from Allah, then say: Bear witness that we are Muslims. (?) our souls, Allah Almighty, (?), giving us our desire and wish, our heart's aim, has programmed these worlds. He knows best who is wretched and who is (?). And, also taking you people as witnesses, to those who oppose Allah say: We are Muslims. That is: say we are those who obey Allah, whose return is to Him, who surrender to Allah, the Owner of the Day of Reckoning, it says. Yes.
