Ali 'Imran 75: There are some amongst the people of the Book, if you lend them a wealthy load, they protect it and return intact. But there are some amongst them, if you lend them a small coin (dinar - measure of a currency), will not return it to you unless you directly keep watch over it. And this is because they say; “There is no wrongdoing in what we do against the illiterates”. Knowingly they do lie against Allah!

Tafsir
There are also people from the People of the Book who, if you entrusted them with loads of trusts, they would return them to the person to whom they entrusted them in full. The meaning of this verse is that the people of the People of the Book do good and pleasant deeds and respect the rights and laws of people. But if they do not believe in Allah and the Qur'an, all their good deeds will be in vain. They will have no helpers or intercessors in the Hereafter. It is a sign that these people who do not betray the trust are Muslims.
(There is one of them: If you entrust him with a dinar, he will not return it to you unless you stand up to him). The worldly desires of such people have destroyed their responsibility towards others. It has made them blind to others other than their own existence. They do not hesitate to swear even in the name of Allah in order to justify themselves. In order to justify themselves, their ego and the devil make what they do look good. People who say that they will not be guilty of sin by taking the property of people who are weak and incapacitated, thinking that they will not be burdened by taking the property of the Arab Ummah, i.e. illiterate people, are people who make decisions in the place of Allah (swt). These are the people who have transgressed rights and law and oppress people on earth.
The love of the world has made such people forget the love of their Lord by violating the rights and laws of people. Those who do not fear Allah, and after committing unlawful acts, make up excuses to justify themselves and usurp people's rights, and then, without fearing Allah, swear in the name of Allah and say that what I have done is lawful. Look at the thoughts of these people. People who appear to be human among people with behaviors that cannot be accepted by the mind and logic, behaviors that are unbecoming of human beings. Such people are the ones who wreak havoc. They knowingly tell lies, they do not recognize rights, their life is their world here. They do not think about the Hereafter. Such people are the people who are unjust to their own souls in the sight of Allah.
What is said in the video
We come to verse 75.
Among the People of the Book there is one who, if you entrust him with loads of wealth, returns it to you in full. But among them there is also one who, if you entrust him with a single dinar, will not return it to you unless you keep standing over him. That is because they say: for what we do to the unlettered there is no sin upon us.
They knowingly tell lies in Allah's name. Now here Allah Almighty, in His verse, gives us a code. Look what He says. (?) you stood over his head, and without standing over him that wrongdoer who would not give it to you, how is he right in his own eyes, how is he right, what does it say here? For what we do to the unlettered there is no sin upon us. Who are these unlettered? The Prophet (peace be upon him) is unlettered, isn't he. The Holy Quran was revealed to him, wasn't it. Unlettered. And that religion is invalid, they say. Since that is invalid, their own religion is the true one, they say.
Because they deny Allah, because they rely on the Torah or the Psalms in their hands, because they deny the Quran, their own religion becomes the true one, their own ideology, In that case he has fulfilled Allah's word; that person, according to his own mind, and the unlettered, who are in false belief, that is, the Muslims, his tormenting the Muslims (?). For this reason he has also seen himself as in the right.
Look at the matter. What does it say anyway? Because they say: for what we do to the unlettered there is no sin upon us, it says. Isn't the Prophet (peace be upon him) unlettered? Wasn't the Holy Quran revealed to him? Yes, their tormenting the Muslims, their seeing themselves as very superior within their own beliefs, and dividing people into classes, people who, by tormenting the others who are different from them, that is these Muslims, hope for Allah's mercy, such people. Allah's mercy. We call out to those people from here. We call out from here to such people who oppress the unlettered, the Muslims.
Did you take Allah so lightly that you accused Him of injustice? So many people, these created ones, these creatures, were they created by your command? Do you have a ruling over them too? Judging by your own mind, fitting Allah into your own mind, you accuse Him of injustice, you accuse Allah. Doesn't Allah Almighty say in His verse: spread truth and justice on earth? So if you commit oppression, by your own mind see your nafs as superior to people and are carried away by pride, if you, carried away by worldly desire, with interest and usury, sir, suck people's blood, if you lead people into injustice, what kind of justice is yours? Putting Allah into the same mould with that same justice, sir, with such things you did to the unlettered, there is no sin upon us, you say. And you accuse Allah of injustice.
Yes. So these people, these people of the earth, such people of the earth its troubles, the People of the Book when you say that, the Christian world is included the Jewish world is included too, the Hebrews are included too we will call them ideologies outside Islam; among such people, among such people there are those who are Muslim. Muslim. But they cannot make themselves known. Because look what it says here. For what we do to the unlettered there is no sin upon us, it says. They torment them. For this reason they are hiding. So Allah Almighty is giving us a code here. A code. He will open this code later anyway.
Among them, He says, among them there are those who pray, who fast, who give zakat, He says. Among them. But they cannot declare themselves. Here it is passed over in veiled terms. What does it say? Among the People of the Book there is one who, if you entrust him with loads of wealth, returns it to you in full. Is it this group, Hodja? This group. These are the people of whom Allah says they fast, pray and give zakat. Among them.
These are Muslims. Because Allah Almighty does not contradict His word. What does He say? Their hearts are scattered and restless. They have deified worldly wealth. They have turned their backs; for their pennies they would give their life but not their wealth. Yes. So if you entrust him with loads, he returns it to you in full. But among them there is also one who, if you entrust him with a single dinar, will not return it to you unless you keep standing over him. So he would give you his life but not his wealth. Among the People of the Book there are such people that, if you hand them loads of trusts, they return them in full to the person who handed them over.
The point of this verse: people of the People of the Book also do good and fine deeds, they respect people's rights and laws. But if they do not believe in Allah and the Quran, all the fine deeds they did are wasted. So we said. This is one meaning here. One meaning. Because they too do fine deeds. In fact, those of them who turn back. That is, those who become Muslim. In the hereafter they will have neither a helper nor an intercessor, it says. What do we say? But if they do not believe in Allah and the Quran, all the fine deeds they did are wasted. Are wasted. In the hereafter, too, they will have neither a helper nor an intercessor.
Here we address the general public, but in reality, as we said, the Muslims. For the public to understand, you know, people ask: is there no one among them who does good deeds? We said to them: there is none who does good deeds. Why? Up to a certain (?) he comes along and seems straight to you. After that he strikes and leaves. These are worldly people. What are their fine deeds? The honest things he did up to that time. Fine deeds. After that, those fine deeds he did: had he known Allah, he would not have thrown them all away and turned to denial, and all those fine deeds they did are wasted. Among them there is also one who, if you entrust him with a single dinar, unless you keep standing over him, he will not return it to you.
The desires of the nafs such people feel for the world have destroyed their responsibilities toward people.
They have become unable to see anyone but themselves. And to clear their own selves they do not hold back even from swearing by Allah. To justify themselves, their nafs and Satan make what they do look attractive to them. People who say: by taking the property of the Arab unlettered, that is, people who cannot read or write, no sin falls on us; by taking the property of weak and helpless people we do not fall into sin. Now, here we tie the matter to the outward meaning in a way people can fully understand. As we said, we will open this in depth. What is the outward meaning? There were the Arab unlettered, Arabs.
Those who could not read or write. So the claim that by oppressing those unlettered whom they cite to people as a source, they incur no sin. In fact, by the unlettered Allah Almighty means Islam. Now why does He mean Islam? Will Allah's word continue until the hereafter, until the Day of Judgement? It will. We will keep Our light until the Day of Judgement, He says. Will they put out Allah's light by blowing with their mouths, what does He say? So the Arab unlettered have passed; what then? If you look for the unlettered, that is, for reading and writing, there are people in every group who cannot read or write.
Well, since the Arab unlettered have passed, has the ruling of this verse now expired? So by the unlettered, the Muslims are meant. Yes. But they point to the Arab unlettered, they point to that. By pointing to this, the severity of the verse, that is, its pressure on people, they try to lessen. Hodja, in Israel the Jews they bring in from outside, the immigrant Jews, come to a village, knock knock, as if breaking the doors, quick, they say, get out, these houses belong to us. The Muslims living there have lived there for centuries. Since the old (?) this place belongs to us, they say. Get out of here. This place belongs to us, they say.
And the soldiers beat those who resist with rifle butts until they pass out, and those Jews from outside come and seize everything of the Muslims there, all their belongings. Nobody in the world makes a peep. Is this happening in Palestine? Yes, Hodja. These things happen every day. So this is not the Arab unlettered. Not their (?). But, but since we address the general public, to the public here we tell you from the outward meaning so that a little more to people, you know, look, it was like this, it was like that, I mean, they cite a verse, they cite a source; relying on those sources we tell you a few things. But what did we say?
We said we will tell you in more detail. In more detail. Yes. So this is the detail.
People who say: by taking the property of the Arab unlettered, that is, people who cannot read or write, no sin falls on us; by taking the property of weak and helpless people we do not fall into sin. They are people who decide in place of Allah Almighty. They have transgressed right and law. They are people who commit oppression upon oppression against people on earth. Now, as one of our children told, in Israel, he says, sir, in Palestine the Israelis come. To settle the Jews coming from outside, the soldiers with rifle butts, sir, well, pound on the Muslims' doors as if breaking them. This place is ours, get out of here.
Sir, those who do not get out they (?) until they pass out, he says. From there, he says, they pick them up and throw them outside. They settle the Jews there, he says. Yes. Who are these unlettered? The Muslims.
Love of the world has made such people trample people's rights and laws and forget the love of their Lord. To these people.
Not to fear Allah. After resorting to the forbidden, to make up excuses to justify yourself and (?) people's rights. Then, swearing by Allah, to say: what I did is lawful. Look at these people's thinking. To people who, with behaviour that reason and logic cannot accept and that does not befit humans, among people only appear human. Such people are people who drown everything in corruption. They knowingly tell lies. They recognise no right or law; their life is their world here, they do not think of the hereafter. Such people, in Allah's sight, are people who wrong their own selves. In these last paragraphs we are more or less summing up what we said first.
