A group from the people of the Book read the Book by twisting their tongues so that you may think that they read from the Book. What they read is not from the Book. They say (lie); “This is from Allah” while it is not. They do knowingly lie about Allah!
Tafsir
A group of the People of the Book twist their tongues when they read the book sent by Allah (swt), that is, they say words that are not in the book and that they have made up, as if what they are reading is in the book, and they say words that are not in the book and that they have made up themselves, as if Allah (swt) had said it, and they do not adopt what Allah (swt) has said, and they tell people what they have made up, such as "Is this also like this?". If we give an example of their actions, for example, if Allah says in the book, "Follow the prophets and know Allah alone and there is no god but Allah," a group of people from the People of the People of the Book, while reading this book to people, deceive people with fabricated words such as, "You can deceive people in your shopping, you can cheat people in your shopping, you can take the property of others for your own gains," and then they tell people their own fabrications as if Allah had said it, and then they tell people without fear of Allah by twisting their mouths and tongues. Their audacity against Allah is beyond comprehension. If Allah is the Creator, and Allah is all-powerful, and Allah cannot be harmed by the gathering of man and jinn, how can one fabricate a lie against Allah and defy Him? Who is more unjust than he who fabricates a lie against Allah?
That is to say, if a person's ego is not perfected and he cannot mature his ego, his mind cannot recognize Allah and his ego cannot compromise its greatness. Therefore, they do not listen to Allah. Those who do not want to recognize Allah because of their stubbornness, and who are ignorant of Allah's attribute of Godhood, want to make things happen according to their own will. They want to turn the rebellion and restlessness in their hearts into peace through their deeds. They swear by the name of Allah and say that Allah says so in this book to relieve their restlessness. They want to comfort their own souls. Their hearts grow darker with the lies they tell and their restlessness grows.
O Human! Think soberly. If Allah were to give you the power and leave the world only under your control, and if He were to impose a condition on you that you should do only what I say and not what He says. In that case, if you do not recognize Allah and live your own desires, will you return to Allah in the end? The aftermath is death and then questioning and interrogation in God's presence. The result is great frustration and eternal suffering.
Now think again here: In the face of this inescapable truth, would you still rebel against Allah and do what your ego and the devil tell you and follow them? Would you abandon Allah and turn your back? Do you still rebel against Allah and turn away from Him according to His verse that says, "To Me is your return"? Allah (swt) says to people in this situation that they are (like the four-legged creatures that walk on the earth). He also gives an example (animals hear the shepherd shouting but do not understand what he is saying). Although Allah (swt) proves the truth by enlightening people with all kinds of events and examples, the actions that people will do with their will are their own.
(They knowingly slander Allah) These people (who have come to play out their own destiny in the world, the covenant they made in Kalu Bela, no matter how much you advise these people, they cannot compromise the covenant they made in their own destiny. Because their world is their own intentions and desires. To compromise on it means cutting them alive with a blunt saw. Therefore, they cannot return to Allah. In one of His verses, Allah says, "If We send you back to this world not once but several times, you will still commit the same deed. From this, it is understood that a person whose covenant in the previous world is destined for him cannot change his own habits and path. Advice is useless to these people. Allah (swt) has sent them to a realm that is unseen, because He is free from any imperfect attributes. In the realm of property, where His Essence is veiled, He makes everyone introduce His Essence and says, "Did you think that you would die without proving what kind of a human being you are?" According to His verse, it is necessary to think well and decide accordingly.
What is said in the video
A group among the People of the Book, so that you think what they read is from the Book, while reading the Book twist their tongues. Yet what they read is not from the Book.
What they say, though it is not from Allah, they say: this is from Allah. They are those who knowingly slander Allah. Yes. Twisting their tongues, He says. That is, as if reading the Quran, Allah forbid. A group among the People of the Book, so that it be thought what they read is from the Book.
They say what they themselves made up. And how beautifully Allah Almighty says it in His verse. Such a group from the Book, while reading the Book Allah Almighty sent, twist their tongues, that is, as if what they read were in the Book, that is, as if it were in the Quran, saying words that are not in the Book and that they made up themselves, as if Allah were telling him and they were adopting what Allah said, not adopting, would this be so? You know, he makes it up himself, he twists his tongue, would this be so? Yet they make it up themselves. In that manner, (?) telling people what they made up.
If we are to give an example of the acts they commit. An example: if, for instance, Allah says in the Book: follow the prophets, recognise Allah as one, there is no god but Allah, a group from the People of the Book, while reading this Book to people, for instance: you may deceive people in your trading, for your own gain you may take others' property into your hands, with such made-up words they deceive people and, supposedly saying, would this be so, they tell their own inventions as if Allah were saying them, and then, twisting mouth and tongue, they tell people without fearing Allah. The rabbis do this, don't they, Hodja?
Pardon? Of course, the rabbis. A group among the People of the Book, He says.
Why are we giving this example anyway? In the previous verse too, in seizing the property of the unlettered there is no sin upon us, they say, you know, yes.
These, their audacity against Allah is beyond comprehension. Their audacity against Allah is beyond comprehension. Why? It is beyond comprehension. Allah, before the worlds were created, existed with His Being. Huwa'l-awwalu wa'l-akhiru wa'z- zahiru wa'l-batin, huwal awwal akhir zahir and batin; that Allah created this universe, that Allah created His creatures, these creatures, all these creatures are in need of Allah; with Allah's attribute al-Hayy, what is this attribute al-Hayy? Allah Almighty, without needing anything, without needing anything, the whole universe He created is in a state of needing Allah.
And since Allah created, if humans and jinn gathered they could not do Allah any harm. According to the verse, people who are capable of nothing, who do not have the power to create, and who will live off what Allah created; so many blessings Allah created for people. And made them the vicegerent of the earth. He granted them fame and renown. Like what? With the renown of humanity, by making them human. What does He say? We created you honoured above the worlds, He says. Above the worlds. Because in man there is His spirit. His spirit. In this case this person, this person, while unable to manage anything, even if he gathered his whole lineage, all people, and called the jinn to help, though he knows he could not inflict any harm on his Lord, with what audacity he slanders Allah, my mind, my memory cannot grasp this, my mind cannot grasp it.
But
I give it this kind of value. That is, I try to assess them with knowledge, with verses. They will not be able to see their Lord. According to the verse.
Way back in the first barzakh, at that address Alastu bi-Rabbikum, since Allah Almighty created man close to His Being, these did not know Allah as Allah. Carried away by fame, renown, pride, arrogance, egotism and grandeur, toward Allah who created them, since they saw Him as small (?), they waited for the Lord of their own imagination. In this case they denied Allah. Allah. And since Allah Almighty knew these feelings of theirs, look what He says in the verse. Had We wished, He says, the angels too would hang down from the sky, from the clouds, We would have made them prostrate. That was their thinking.
From the sky, from that heaven, Allah would appear to them and they would prostrate in that fear. Whereas Allah gives man such value that He leaves him free in his own will and wants the Lord to be known by his own will. Had Allah made people prostrate out of fear, He would not have created people at all. Allah programmed all His angels or His creatures to prostrate to Him. He was to create such a being that this human would know that partial being He gave from Himself and would prostrate to that partial Being. That is man. He gave man that much value. Abdulqadir Gilani points to this. If man had known his value in Allah's sight, la mulka'l-yawma illa li, Today the dominion is Mine alone, he would say, he says.
Yes, man is that valuable. But they themselves cannot know. Their audacity against Allah is beyond comprehension. If Allah is the Creator and Allah is able to do all things, if humans and jinn gathered against Allah they could not do Him harm. Can lies be made up against Allah and can He be opposed, we say.
So if a person's nafs does not attain perfection and he cannot mature his own nafs, that person's mind cannot recognise Allah and cannot give up the grandeur of his own nafs. For this reason he does not listen to Allah either.
Why does he not listen? Because the part of His spirit is in him, and in that spirit there is fame, renown, pride, arrogance, egotism, selfishness and grandeur. Grandeur, seven traits, love of the world. Seven traits. If, faced with these traits, people know these traits but cannot break them,
people distance themselves from Allah like this.
They turn a few hours of worldly life into torment in the abode of eternal bliss.
So if a person's nafs does not attain perfection and he cannot mature his own nafs, that person's mind cannot recognise Allah and cannot give up the grandeur of his own nafs. For this reason he does not listen to Allah either. So those who, out of their stubbornness, do not want to know Allah, unaware of Allah's attribute of divinity, running affairs by their own minds in the direction of their own wishes, to turn the rebellion and unrest in their hearts from the things they did into peace, to people, swearing even in Allah's name, saying Allah says so in this Book, they want to ease their own selves.
But with every lie he tells, a person's heart grows darker and his unrest increases more and more. people. In this situation Allah Almighty says to them: their hearts are restless and scattered.
O man! Think it over with sound reason. If Allah gave you authority and left the world under your management alone and set you one condition: you will do not what you say but what I say, that is, what Allah says, and you in this situation did not recognise Allah, made people do what you say, and turned all people to your own idea, what would your gain be?
The end is death, and then questioning and interrogation in the divine presence. The result is a great loss and an eternal agony. Now, think again here. In the face of this inevitable truth, will you still rebel against Allah and do what your nafs and Satan say, and follow after them?
Will you abandon Allah and turn your back? Will man again rebel against Allah, and, according to the verse in which He says your return is to Me, turn a deaf ear and turn away from Allah? About people in this state Allah Almighty says: they are like four-legged beasts roaming the earth. And He gives an example for them. Animals hear the shepherd shouting but do not understand what he says, He says. Although Allah Almighty proves the truth by enlightening people with all kinds of events and examples, the deeds people do with their will belong to them.
Yes, they knowingly slander Allah; so people, since they have come to play in the world the covenant they gave at Qalu Bala, their own destinies, however much you advise these people, within their own destinies they cannot give up the covenant they gave. Because their world is their own intentions and desires. Giving that up means cutting them alive with a blunt saw. For this reason they cannot turn back to Allah. In a verse Allah says: if We sent you to the world not once but several more times, you would do the same thing again. From this it is understood that a person whose covenant in the first barzakh was written for him as destiny cannot change his disposition and his way.
So advice is of no use to them. Since Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes, He sent them to a hidden realm. In the realm of dominion where His Being is veiled, making His Being known to everyone, according to the verse in which He says: did you think you would die without proving what kind of person you are, one must think well and decide accordingly. Yes.
