After Allah gives the Book, wisdom and Prophethood, it is not possible for a Messenger to advice the people saying; “Leave Allah and be my servants”. But (to the contrary), they (the Messengers) say; “Be sincere servants of the Lord, following the Book which is thought and studied.”
Tafsir
(It is not possible for any human being to say, "Leave Allah and serve me" after Allah has given him the Book, wisdom and prophethood). Why is it impossible? Those who are sincerely devoted to Allah use their minds to think like this. They are people who realize that they are created and that they are very weak in comparison to their Creator, and that Allah, the Creator, is their owner and that they cannot live without Him. Such people love Allah wholeheartedly and do not hesitate to sacrifice their lives for Allah and do not deviate from what Allah says.
Why is it that man loves Allah more than his life and does not hesitate to sacrifice his life for Allah? Now, if we think rationally, let's assume for a moment that Allah does not exist and let's eliminate the event called death. People grow old over time. As they grow old, they become weak and incapable of performing their own services and these people need to be taken care of. How much people take care of such people and how much they serve them. When they are abandoned, they cannot eat or drink, they cannot meet their own needs. There are also afflictions, and within these afflictions there is suffering, and in this case they long for death, but they cannot die because there is no death. Can you imagine the agony of that? Or a person is sick, he is suffering from an incurable disease and the aches and pains are unbearable. So he wants to die and get rid of this suffering. But there is no death. In that case, do you not want to give your life to Allah, who created you, as your owner?
That is the human being: Before these situations happen and before you fall into these situations, turn back to Allah, who created you, and embrace His existence and find life. The prophets were people who understood and realized the existence of Allah and His existence, and that they could not live without Him. None of them invite people to themselves, leaving Allah. On the contrary, they say, "Be pure servants to your Lord in accordance with the Book which you are teaching and instructing". These are those who make a good covenant with Allah. They always invite people to Allah. Because salvation and salvation is with Allah.
What is said in the video
We had stopped at verse 79 of Surah Al-Imran.
For any human being, after Allah has given him the Book, wisdom and prophethood, to rise and say to people: leave Allah and be servants to me, is not possible.
Rather, they say: in accordance with the Book you teach and study, be sincere servants of the Lord.
Now pay attention to this verse.
Of those on earth who say: I am a scholar, I am a man of knowledge, I am at the head of such-and-such groups, which of them try to guide people with the verses of Allah Almighty? Can you show me? All of them, within their own ideologies, with hadiths and verses they know falsely, tell people their own ideas.
Like onion stew.
To be able to explain Allah, they would have to be aware of those verses.
I said earlier that he will enter through the gate of ilm al-yaqin. In the nafs-i radiya, in that fifth state, he will receive the inspiration of Allah Almighty. With that clarity of unveiling he will see the verses of our Lord, their meanings and equivalents, as far as He permits. And Allah Almighty will give him the quality of that ladunni knowledge called wisdom, will give him the ability to perceive, and as proof of His being, the scholars and the angels bear witness to Allah's existence, as He says; he will come to be one of those people. Now this verse (?) it. What does this verse say? It is not possible for any human being, after Allah has given him the Book, wisdom and prophethood, the Book, the Quran, after giving it to the prophets, and prophethood, yes, wisdom, after giving him the ability to perceive, to rise and say to people: leave Allah and be servants to me.
Why is it not possible? They, as I explained earlier, have surrendered to Allah, the Exalted. People who know that He is the owner of this whole universe, the seven heavens, (?), that His power suffices for everything, and who live the proof of His being in their own selves, can never make concessions about Allah. Because when Allah is mentioned their hearts tremble and they fear Allah. For this reason, just as you see me and you, they know the hereafter and their Lord in the same way. For this reason they would never, leaving people, I mean leaving Allah, never let people make concessions about His being.
I mean, saying: come, Allah says it like this, but there is some tolerance in it, I say it like this, Allah will allow you. Never. They cannot make concessions like that. Whatever Allah has said, they carry out Allah's command.
What did I say at the beginning? Those who do not know these verses, who do not understand them, because they do not know hadith and verse, give fatwas according to their own minds. And so they err more and more, and sink deeper and deeper. Where is the proof that this is so? The proof: in the Holy Quran there are 350 wrongly explained verses. As I said earlier, they are all people like ashure boiled in one pot. If they had known about these errors, they would long ago have stood up against those errors. They would have stood up long ago. So these are all people of the same (?). Now, we explain Allah's verses to people from the root.
From the root, and man's willing, man's partial will, man's own judgment, and with his own judgment, his receiving reward and sin for the deeds he has done. Where? Here, Allah's willing over me. Where? Allah Almighty putting whom He wills into Paradise, whom He wills into Hell.
Yes. There. It is always like this.
Open them, what other errors there are. Look, we have uploaded these to the website. We uploaded them. Look at the places written in red letters. All wrongly explained. We have written their correct versions. But to know that it is correct, you will take any Quran. Look at its translation. Because they have all written the same, with some minor word changes. They have set the errors in place there. Are these the people of knowledge? Think of the knowledge of people who do scholarship like that. For this reason they cannot come near the Quran anyway. And because they cannot come near it, they try to instil their own ideologies in people.
And for this reason, where they do not understand, they slander people very nicely. Allah Almighty prevents exactly this with this verse. What does it say? Let us read it once more. It is not possible for any human being, after Allah has given him the Book, wisdom and prophethood, to rise and say to people: leave Allah and be servants to me. Rather, they say: in accordance with the Book you teach and study, be sincere servants of the Lord. Well, isn't that what we say too? We say: reform your nafs. We say: be servants of Allah. We say: our return is to Allah. Every soul shall taste death, and finally, at that great court, in the presence of Allah Almighty we will give account.
We say: this world is transient. We say: we are travellers in this world. Allah Almighty says a thousand years of this world are like one day of the hereafter. So we say 60 or 70 years are like one, one and a half hours. Do not be deceived by the nafs, by Satan and by the alluring beauty of the world. It deceives you, it drags you into swamps. But do not leave it either. Because we need it, the world. Allah Almighty has laid a responsibility on us. He says: build up your world. So that perhaps your enemies fear you, and you will be (?). Or they envy you and become Muslims. So while you build up your world, do not forget Allah and do not incline to the world.
Know that it is a temporary lodging, like handing this property to its owner and stopping at an inn. In that inn (?), but you cannot own the inn, the inn has an owner. You will leave there and go. That is the kind of traveller you are in this world. Understand this well and act accordingly.
No human being, after the Book, wisdom and prophethood have come to him from Allah, can say: leave Allah and be servants to me. Why? It is not possible. Those devoted to Allah with their hearts, using their minds, think like this. They are people who have realised that they are created and very helpless before their Creator, and also that Allah, the Creator, is their owner and that they cannot live without Him. Such people love Allah with all their hearts and do not shrink from sacrificing their lives for Allah, and they do not step outside what Allah has said. Yes.
Why does a person love Allah more than his own life and not shrink from sacrificing his life for Allah?
Now, he will think with a sound mind, he will. For a moment let us assume Allah does not exist. Let us also remove the thing called death. There is no death either. And no Allah. May Allah protect us. Yes. People grow old over time. As they age, weak and without strength, they become unable to look after themselves and these people come to need care. How much do people look after such people and how much do they serve them? When they are abandoned, they cannot eat or drink, they cannot meet their own needs. And besides, there are misfortunes, and within these misfortunes the suffering, can you imagine their suffering?
I mean, illness comes upon them, wounds and sores cover them. Within these wounds, within these pains, he moans. There is no Allah, and no death either. What do you do? What will you do? There is no way to cure yourself. There is no way to know the remedy for the illness. Or death, there is no death either. You know how some people, in their suffering, say: shoot me, kill me. Kill me. Well, in that case I need a Creator. Yes. Or a person has fallen ill. He has caught an illness with no remedy. Aches and pains have given him unbearable suffering. And he wants to die and be freed from these pains.
But there is no death for you to be freed. In this case, would you not want to give your life to Allah who created you, who is your owner, as your owner, he says. To your owner. Whether you are a polytheist, a non-polytheist or a Muslim. (?), without living through these situations and without falling into them, with a sound mind turning to Allah who created you, clinging to His being, you find life.
The prophets are people who have understood and realised Allah's existence and oneness, and that they cannot live without Him. None of them leaves Allah and invites people to themselves. For this reason, rather, they say: in accordance with the Book you teach and study, be sincere servants of the Lord, that is, be sincere servants of Allah. Those who have given Allah a good covenant always invite people to Allah. Because salvation and felicity are being with Allah. Apart from this there is neither salvation nor felicity. Well, I am with Allah. So what? You know. Fine, you say, partial will is with you; your Lord has given you one lifetime.
You cannot use this lifetime one hour earlier or one hour later. And you cannot step outside this lifetime. You are imprisoned within your lifetime as if locked in this prison. Be it fifty years, a hundred years, a hundred and fifty years, however long a life He has given. You are in prison within that lifetime. After your lifetime has ended, when you are freed from this prison of the body and turn to the hereafter, at that great court, in the presence of Allah Almighty, who says: the judgment today is Mine alone, in the presence of the Judge of judges, you will give account. You lived a few hours of life in this world and deified yourself in your own carnal feelings.
Did you not see, according to the verse about the one who deifies his nafs, the one who came as a mercy to the worlds, who is "wa ma arsalnaka illa rahmatan lil-alamin", the Prophet (peace be upon him), for his sake no destruction came upon you as it came to other peoples, but you went through many misfortunes. Within those misfortunes you still did not recognise Allah with your own understanding, and you said, look, I can live without Allah, and carried on. For whose sake? For the sake of "wa ma arsalnaka illa rahmatan lil-alamin". You paid no heed to those misfortunes either, and (?) what does Allah Almighty say?
He says: We give them three or two misfortunes a year. We give two or three misfortunes. And today too we see tornadoes, storms, floods. But with their own minds, their own understanding, they still do not turn to Allah, they still do not say Allah. And they do not voice their regret. And with the decisions they made in their own freedom, they themselves, whoever remains, remains, whoever lives, lives. After their life, according to the verse where He says every soul shall taste death and (?) your return is to Me. Allah Almighty, by the verse where He says in the world My mercy is for everyone, will lift His mercy from them in the hereafter.
Among those of whom He says they are there without anyone and alone, as eternal people of Hell, through the seven gates of Hell they will be thrown in. Now, with a sound mind, I address people. Is it worth turning the life of an eternal, endless world into suffering for a few hours of life here? Can such a mind be called a mind? Can this be someone with a mind?
Yes. If you think a little, each of you, each of you, will confirm this in your conscience. But you cannot say stop to your (?) nafs. Well, did Allah Almighty not create you with will? Was your will not very strong? So did Allah err here? No, He did not err. Who erred? You erred. Look at the will of the prophets, look at the will of the scholars. Did Allah create them, did Allah create these scholars with such will? They reached that station by their own will. They reached those stations by their own will. So when He shows them to you as an example, since you live your helplessness within your own will, when you understand that, what answer will you give Allah Almighty?
How will you defend yourself before that Judge of judges? It is impossible. So you will give your own verdict yourself there. Punishment. Well, is it worth this punishment? The chance is in hand. Where? In the world, within your lifetime, a chance, a treasure for you. So use this treasure well. Turn to your Lord. Say Allah, repent and seek forgiveness for your sins. Look what the Prophet says. Even if your sins reached the clouds in the sky, if you repent with a sincere heart, Allah Almighty changes them into good deeds, he says.
Since it is the right moment, let us repent and seek forgiveness here.
Yes. How beautiful. If we repent and seek forgiveness from the One who created us, will our Lord not forgive us? He created us fallible anyway. We knew Him and took refuge in Him, and turned back from the heart. And from now on, after this repentance, if we promise Allah that we will not continue our evil deeds again, could there be a finer, more honourable person than us?
Because Allah created us honourable. Yes.
How beautiful. We are all travellers in this world, travellers. In that journey, in that caravan, we are passengers, passengers. Of course we will embrace one another. A caravan travelling through a desert. If we run out of water, we will share our water. If we run out of bread, we will share our bread. And finally we will all reach our destination together, safe and sound. There is no leaving one another on the way. No ego. No carnal desire.
No separating either. If we separate, wolves and birds will snatch us. There are many pickpockets. Many highwaymen. They will snatch us. And they will change our path. Then we leave the sirat al-mustaqim, the straight path, and we will have taken the road to Hell. May Allah protect us. Yes.
