Translation

And Allah will not command you to adopt angels and Prophets as your Lords. Would Allah command you to become infidels, after you became Muslims!

Tafsir

Those who were given wisdom, the Book and the Prophethood, these are the ones who devoted their existence to Allah. They have made a good covenant with Allah and Allah has endowed them with the best of morals. He has introduced them to Him and made them close to Him. These people are superhuman. Would they ever say to us, "Leave Allah and take the prophets and angels as gods"? Would they command us to disbelieve after we have become Muslims? These superhuman people are the ones who were given wisdom, books and prophethood. They are the ones who made a beautiful covenant with Allah to invite people to Allah according to their desires. Allah has programmed them according to their desires. Therefore, these people always show people the truth and inform people of Allah's commands in order to bring them out of the marshes of disbelief. They leave their own comfort and interests aside and try to set an example for people both in deed and in language. It is because Allah (swt) knows this that our Lord defends His prophets against the people who accuse them.

What is said in the video

Al-Imran, Surah verse 80: And he does not order you to take the angels and the prophets as gods either. I mean, these persons do not order you to take the angels and the prophets as gods either. After you have become Muslims, would they ever order you to unbelief, He says? After having become Muslims. Who? These scholars. Who? The prophets. Would they ever order you to unbelief? Look, how nicely he has been explaining all along. I am always trying to make you love Allah. Allah and His Messenger. Do I ever say anything for myself? May Allah protect us. I too am a helpless servant of Allah. If He has given me a little knowledge, if He has given me a little knowledge, this knowledge leads me not to pride but to service.

I am a servant of knowledge. I will tell it. To whom? To the servants of Allah. I will explain it. I have to. And while explaining it, since knowledge belongs to Allah, I will tell you about Allah. I will tell you about the Prophet, I will tell you about the verses. Yes. Those who were given wisdom, the Book and prophethood are those who dedicated their being to Allah. They gave Allah a good covenant, and Allah adorned them with the finest character. Now we say these are those who dedicated themselves to Allah. This has the following meaning.

If they put the world and this universe on one scale, and put his life on that scale too, he would never make a concession about Allah. Such people.

Scholars who know the verses. They never make concessions about Allah. And for this reason they never give up telling about Allah.

They gave Allah a good covenant, and Allah adorned them with the finest character. He made Himself known to them and brought them near to Himself. These people are people above people. What are people above people? I mean, aren't they human? What we call above human: for example, there are such people that when one says this person is aware of manifestations, he says: come on, can Allah be seen? Yes, there is manifestation. Well, is there such a person now? No. For example, the scholars and the angels bear witness to Allah's existence, they say. Now he says: I bear witness too. Did you see? You are bearing witness.

Yes. If you saw, bear witness. If you saw. Yes, but with that knowledge, with that nearness. For example, some of the beings Allah Almighty has created, beings, He shows to the person with some of their secrets. This is the nafs-i safiya. The secret of the secret. Look, what does it say now? Yes, Allah Almighty: when We created these worlds, when We created them, We did not take Satan and his companions as witnesses.

Did you hear the verse? What does it say? When We created these worlds, We did not take Satan and his companions as witnesses. So there are such people that, when He created these worlds, the worlds I mean, whatever He would create of the animals, or whatever He intended, Allah Almighty, by showing him part of how, with what qualities, He created it, makes known to him that He is the Creator, that He is almighty over everything, that people are in helplessness. Such people.

Such people. Come on, can the mind grasp this? These are the ones we call above human. They too serve people. They serve knowledge. They show them the ways of Allah.

Yes. What are these? People above people. Would they ever tell us: leave Allah, take the prophets and the angels as gods? After we have become Muslims, would they order us to unbelief? These people above people are indeed the people called wisdom, Book and prophethood. To invite people to Allah, in line with their own wishes, they (?) a covenant to Allah. And Allah programmed them in the direction of their own wishes. For this reason these people always show people the truth, and to bring people out of the swamps of unbelief, they convey Allah's commands to people. Setting aside their own comfort and interests, they try to be an example to people both through the language of conduct and through the language of the tongue.

Because Allah Almighty knows their state, against the people who accuse them, our Lord defends His prophets.

He defends them. What does He say? Look: would they tell you to take the angels and the prophets as gods, take them as gods, He says. Would they say that? They would not. So listen to them well, He says. Obey them. After you have become Muslims, would they ever order you to unbelief, He says. He defends them. Such people, the prophets, and such people, He defends. So obey them. Look, they show you the ways of Allah with verses. They tell you the commands of the Creator. And they show you the truth. They shine a light on your path. So, the passing of your scholars to the hereafter is like the sun going and darkness coming, according to the verse where he said this.

Take care of them, he says. Protect them. You will not find them again. Yes. You will find them only with great difficulty.
