Do not be like those who fall into dispute and disperse, even after some clear signs come to them. There is a great punishment for them.
Tafsir
Do not be like those who disbelieve and differ, even though Allah (swt) has proved His existence with the miracles shown by the prophets, after the clear Verses that prove the existence of Allah (swt), in a way that every mind can understand. These are those who, knowing the existence of Allah, follow their own desires and indulge in the pleasures of the world and amuse themselves. They are people who are separated from each other, who are caught up in egos, who have either lost their religion because of their love of greatness, or who have fallen into the captivity of their enemies because of their disintegration. How can you be separated from each other, how can you be divided, how can you turn to falsehood instead of the truth, when these things are happening in front of our eyes? So do not be like these. Whoever becomes like them (for them is a great torment). Allah (swt) did not send human beings to the earth to enjoy themselves and satisfy their souls. Whoever indulges in pleasure, forgets his Creator, turns away from Allah, makes his ego his god, and follows the footsteps of Satan, for them there is a painful torment in the Hereafter.
What is said in the video
Like those who split apart and fell into division after clear proofs had come to them, do not be. For them there is a great punishment, says Allah Almighty.
After the clear verses that are proof of Allah Almighty's existence, with the miracles the prophets showed, in a way every mind can understand, Allah Almighty proved His existence; yet do not be like those who denied and fell into division, He says.
In Surah Ar-Rum, verse 32, too, He says: do not be among those who divide your religion into factions. In our time too, despite such clear proofs, like what? The people of the Sabbath; with Doctor Darwin saying man comes from the ape, 1400-odd years earlier Allah Almighty, according to what He made known through the verses to the Beloved of the Almighty, the Seal of the Prophets, Hazrat Muhammad, tells us that their, those people's, those people fishing on the shore, their forms were changed into apes. Doctor Darwin, this to lead people astray, a man who is an enemy of Allah, this he says man too comes from the ape, and he says it with pride, that is, he says his ancestor was an ape, and he claims them too.
Everyone, everyone will go to the place they deserve anyway. Plus, Captain Cousteau says in the Strait of Gibraltar fresh water and salt water are together, but there is a barrier between them so that they never mix. The water on one side is salty, the water on the other side is fresh, and so it is drunk. Now, these miracles, who can do this power? This might, who can possess such might? After such clear proofs have come, you get up and, according to your own mind, (?)? Or else says: why was this not like that? Sir, if you turn your back on the verses with which Allah holds a light before you, you will have harmed yourself, tormented your own nafs.
Yes.
We are like that too. The scholars are like that too.
Sometimes he beats, sometimes he loves. If you turn your back and leave when he beats, you act against yourself. Because you see the truth. The truth is not abandoned because of the feelings of the nafs. Yes.
These are the ones who, knowing full well that Allah exists, follow the desires of their nafs, plunge into the pleasures of the world and amuse their nafs. Broken away from each other, seized by egos, having lost their religion through love of greatness, or fallen into the captivity of their enemies because of their splitting apart: that is what these people are.
A person if he acts above Allah's verses, if with the feelings of the nafs the quarrel of you-and-me enters, (?). This is among Satan's traits. It goes against Allah Almighty's verse. Preserve your unity and togetherness. It goes against this verse. There is strength in your unity and togetherness, He says. Yes. This unity and togetherness of ours, our devotion, daunts the people facing us. That is why the moment a nation, a nation begins to break apart from one another, they have come to the door of the threshold of disaster. When Suleiman the Magnificent set out on the Vienna campaign, his army passes through a vineyard. A grape vineyard.
The army (?) the grape vineyards. They fill their stomachs from the fine grape vineyards. They eat. And the army passes on. The next day, when the owner comes to the vineyard, he sees that a gold lira has been hung on every vine. He sees that a gold lira has been hung. And when Suleiman, behind his army, sees this event, he says: with this army of mine, he says, my back will never touch the ground. Yes.
So what does this mean? They will know right and law, and preserve their unity and togetherness without leaving Allah's path. Those people could have eaten from the vineyard, saying I am protecting the state, and eaten from the vineyard and moved on, but he protects his brother. He has put labour into this. Of course I will eat this. I too am a soldier with my duty, I will do my military service. Everyone knows his duty. They preserve their brotherhood within the religion of Islam.
Yes.
These things that appear before your eyes, what are we saying, while these appear before your eyes, how do you break away from each other, how do you fall into division, how do you turn to falsehood instead of the truth? So do not be like these, says Allah Almighty, do not be like these people. Whoever becomes like them, for them there is a great punishment. Out of the desires of their nafs, their pride and arrogance, they can neither worship Allah nor continue on Allah's path. By deifying their own minds, their own feelings of the nafs, they try to build up their worldly life and bankrupt their hereafter.
Allah Almighty did not send people to earth to indulge in pleasures and satisfy their nafs. Yes. Whoever plunges into pleasure, into pleasures,
forgets his Creator, turns away from Allah, takes his nafs as his god, follows Satan's tracks, for them in the hereafter there is a painful punishment. Allah Almighty. They have deified their nafs.
What are we saying here? Allah Almighty did not send people to earth to indulge in pleasures and satisfy their nafs. So why did we come, Hodja? Why did we come to earth? I always explain that part, but let us understand the root of the talks better here. Allah Almighty was going to create a being close to Himself. He was going to leave it free in its will. He was going to give it of His own part. What was that part? Of His spirit. He was going to give it. And that human, of his own will, was to wish for Allah as Creator. So Allah Almighty created our spirits too. And He left us free in our own wills.
According to Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172, He made a covenant with us. He knew what kind of character each of them would have. And He gave them those characters. Well, if He gave them, the matter is finished. It is not finished. Why is it not finished? Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes. That human, on seeing (?), says: how would I know that You are my Lord, You created me like You, You are like Yourself, You are like me, how would I know. Had You sent me to an unseen world, had You made Yourself known to me there, I would have worshipped You very well there, he says. He says this. That is what these worlds were created for.
You came here for this. We came here for this. We came to recognise and know our Lord, to enter His path, that path of light, and (?) obey Him. Are those who know and those who do not know ever equal? He says. In this case you will prove yourself. Now, here is the arena. Look, if you want to be a wrestler, if you want to put on the kispet and wrestle for the top, here is the arena, here are the verses, how beautiful. Allah Almighty sends you here. Now look, I am making Myself known to you. I sent you to a world where you do not see Me, to an unseen world. Now, He says, if here you know your Lord as Creator and you see that there is no contradiction in My words, and know that the prophets are true and see that they told you the truth, and if you can grasp the miracles of the Holy Quran by living them over time, come on then, He says.
Beyond this, the matters depend on your own characters, your own nafs, your own feelings. You are responsible for what happens from now on, He says. Yes. How beautifully He says it, doesn't He? You are responsible for what happens from now on.
So Allah Almighty, free of deficient attributes, in this way holds a light before man with His verses, enlightens people through His scholars, and tells them the truth, what is right, and how the hereafter, that homeland, is to be built up. By (?) here, by indulging in pleasures, you cannot build up the hereafter. Why can't I build it up? Look, here you work, you toil. You feed your own nafs. And you also try to save money. The reason is to live what you dream of. Either you will buy a car. Or you will buy a house. Or you will buy a yacht. Or you will buy a summer house. To secure your good life, to satisfy that nafs of yours, perhaps day and night you work, you strive.
You try to accumulate something. You restrain what your nafs desires so that you can reach those things. What is this for? So that you can live the pleasures of the passing world. Well, although your true homeland is the homeland of bliss, the hereafter, why do you not prepare for it? And when you do not prepare for it, can you enter the class of wise people? Which class of people do you enter? You only become a person who lives to satisfy the feelings of your nafs for your own ideology. That is, here, here Allah Almighty shows them this path. We will understand it better now with the verses. They are like four-legged animals living on earth, He says.
That is, the four-legged animal too protects its life for its own living and wants to graze in the best pasture. It wants to eat, drink and mate, it wants to reproduce. An animal. Well, if you are with it in the same feelings and do not think of the hereafter.
If you remember your Lord when He comes to mind and His commands seem hard to you, and you do not want to mention Him, do not want to remember Him, then between you and it what difference is there? I see no difference. I see a form, a form. And what do some say about that? Human in form, but animal in character, they say. Yes, a person's character matters. Isn't that so? Am I saying it wrong? Right.
