Translation

(The people of) A’ad have accused their Messenger of lying, too.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) sends Prophets and Verses to people so that they may find the truth. But whichever tribes He has sent His Prophets and His Verses, it is impossible that those tribes would not deny their Prophets and the Verses of Allah. And He sent a Prophet to the people of Ad so that they might give up their deviation and find the Truth.

But the people of 'Ad also denied their Prophet. Although Allah (swt) sent a Prophet to the people of Ad and invited them to the Truth, they did not believe in the Messenger of Allah and accused Hud of being a liar. Because they were polytheists who did not believe in Allah and the Hereafter.

What is said in the video

Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 123: The people of 'Ad also accused the prophets of lying, it says. The people of 'Ad.

Allah Almighty sent prophets to the peoples, one by one.

Until people advanced in technology — let's not say technology, rather until their minds came into play, in a way they could bear, showing them limited forms of worship, as much as they could do — Allah Almighty does not burden His creatures with hardship — He sent them prophets. But however much these prophets conveyed Allah Almighty's command to their peoples, these peoples, toward every prophet who came, as if it were an inheritance from their forefathers, turned to denial. To denial. Even though He destroyed many peoples, those who came after them were again, within a very short time, worshipping idols.

Allah Almighty addresses them like this: How, it says, they resembled their forefathers of the past. Although no more than (?) had passed, it says, how they resembled their forefathers. Yes. So Allah Almighty sent prophets to the people of 'Ad too. He sent a prophet. Whom? He sent the prophet Hud. If I'm not mistaken, He sent the prophet Hud. They too accused the prophet of lying. Allah Almighty sends people prophets and verses so that they find the truth. But whichever peoples He sent prophets and His verses to, it was impossible that those peoples would not deny their prophets and Allah's verses.

So He sent a prophet to the people of 'Ad too, so that they would give up misguidance and find the truth — that was why.

Yes.

But the people of 'Ad also denied their prophet. Although Allah Almighty had the prophet He sent to the people of 'Ad invite them to the truth, they did not believe Allah's messenger and accused Hud (peace be upon him) of lying. Hud (peace be upon him) — yes, the name of the prophet He sent to the people of 'Ad is Hud; Hud (peace be upon him) too they accused of lying. Because these too were polytheists who did not believe in Allah and the hereafter. Polytheists. Now, faced with such denial of the truth, what comes to my mind? The denials of me come to mind. Although I too explained the truth, people who had taken on superstitions, by holding superstition above the truth, us accused of lying and of irreligion, and even repentance — they pushed us as far as repentance.

That is, they said: You need to repent. In fact, in saying this to us, they themselves — since we held up a mirror to them — should have repented and sought forgiveness, yet they told us: You need to repent. Whereas these people were unaware of the verses, unaware of their meanings, pitiful people. We paid them no attention. Why not? Ignorant people. Now, what is this like?

Imagine a child of five or six. It attacks a mature person of forty.

Would you take it seriously? A child of five or six. Would you even (?)? What do you do? You speak sweet words to it. The nature of their attack on us is like that too. A child of five or six. Unaware of the truth. But a person who thinks he knows the truth and relies on the truth, and sees the person in front of him as false although he speaks the truth. He doesn't say: Let me compare with my own knowledge which one is right. Instead of siding with what is right, he opposes the truth. Such people always exist.

And they will exist in times to come as well.

What do I mean? The Mahdi. When the Mahdi comes, they won't believe him either. Many won't believe. And they will wage war against the Mahdi. Do you know who they are? Muslims, Muslims. Those reactionaries will go to war with the Mahdi, they will. First they will oppose him. Yes. From such reactionaries, from such people who look Muslim but don't know even the letter I of Islam — may Allah protect Islam and those who live it. Yes.
