“Now abstain from rebelling against Allah and obey me.”
Tafsir
Hadrat Hud continues to warn his people; O my people! Repent of your evil deeds and return to Allah. And obey me. For I am a trustworthy messenger sent to you by Allah, the Lord of the worlds. Fear Allah. Allah is the Creator of the worlds. Allah is the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and He is your Lord and my Lord. There is no other God but Him. If you avoid disobeying Him, you will find the Truth and you will be saved. Otherwise, he said, I fear the punishment of a day that will come to you in this state.
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 126 of Surah Ash-Shu'ara.
So guard against opposing Allah and obey me, it says. Guard against opposing Allah and obey me.
They continually invite people to the truth. They invite them to salvation. The heirs of the prophets do the same work. They always explain the truth to people.
They don't treat people with feelings of the nafs. If they treated people with feelings of the nafs, they couldn't attain those states. In this case, since Allah Almighty will not call anyone to account for what He has not made known to people, a person says: My duty — if he has a duty — my duty is to open up the meanings of the verses. Another says: My duty is to correct the wrongly interpreted verses. How will he correct them? Allah Almighty shows him many realms. Just as He raised the Prophet (peace be upon him) himself in the world, just as Uways al-Qarani was raised, by the same paths, as an ummi He raises him. Ummi does not mean a person who cannot read or write.
Look, pay close attention here. There's (?). What is (?)? Was he ummi, that is, could he not read or write, the master of doctors, sir? A person who learned a branch of profession from no one but was raised by Allah Almighty Himself is ummi. Allah Almighty says about the Prophet: Had We made him literate, they would have said he learned it from someone else, it says. Here the clear meaning of ummi — that those who come after this, even if literate, are raised by Him directly — you find the sign of that here. There's no one who understands the verses. When it says ummi, a man tells you: he will be illiterate.
Hey, that's an ignorant one, my son, ignorant. Ignorant. Illiterate — today even a shepherd can read and write. There he becomes a wali. He becomes a wali. (?) becomes one of the awliya. How does that work?
That's why the people Allah Almighty raises, if they are on a duty, say: My duty is to correct the wrong interpretations in the verses.
This is my duty. I am saying it.
Hodja,
does a person say such a thing about himself? If a prophet says it, if an heir of the prophet says it, if we too interpret the verses like this, if, when we interpret the verses, you cannot prove the opposite, and if the truly wrongly interpreted verses are correct in this way, if this has been proven, being literate is not a requirement. Here, someone with no outward knowledge, no outward knowledge — this, moreover, is Allah Almighty's miracle upon a person.
If by someone without Arabic, without hifz, in this way a whole world of verses is opened up with proof, and if no one can prove the opposite and he says this is the truth, how else could it be proven? The prophets prove it like this too, but people don't believe. Well, believe it or don't. I'm not telling you to believe me anyway. We are delivering the truth. You have reason. You will use your reason. No one can change anyone's destiny. Isn't that so? But there is enjoining what is right. And that is just what we are doing, enjoining what is right. What we do is nothing else. We are telling Allah's verses.
Yes.
So guard against opposing Allah and obey me, it says. Look, I've told you the truth all this time, he says. I've shown you the right paths, he says. Don't seek help from what Allah created. And all created things belong to Allah. Although he told them: You shape these creations of Allah in your imagination and worship them — when they still kept worshipping (?), he says: Enough now. Guard against opposing Allah and obey me, he says. To protect his people.
Hud (peace be upon him) continues to warn his people. O my people! Repent of the evils you have done and turn to Allah. Obey me too. For I am, sent to you by Allah, the Lord of the worlds, a trustworthy messenger. Fear Allah. Allah is the Creator of the worlds. Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and what is between the two, is your Lord and mine. There is no other god besides Him. If you guard against opposing Him, you will find the truth and attain salvation. Otherwise, in this state of yours, I fear for you the punishment of a day that will come, he said.
