“Are you acquiring firm buildings, hoping that you will stay eternally?”

Tafsir

O my people! Or do you think that you will remain in this world, so you build such strong buildings for yourselves and spend your lives building them? You forget Allah and the Hereafter. He said, "Do you not take examples from those among you who have gone to the Hereafter?

No matter how many warnings Hadrat Hud 'alaihis-salâm gave to his people, they would not understand. But Hud (peace be upon him) continued his warnings.

What is said in the video

We have come to Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 129. "Do you take for yourselves strong structures, hoping you will stay forever?" it says. "Thinking you will stay forever, do you take strong structures for yourselves?" No one in the world is permanent. "O my people! Or, thinking you will remain in the world forever, building yourselves such strong buildings, do you spend your lives constructing these buildings? You are forgetting Allah and the Hereafter. Do you not take lessons from those among you who have gone to the Hereafter?" he said. However much Hud (peace be upon him) warned his people, his people (?).

But Hud (peace be upon him) keeps on with his warnings. When a person speaks the truth, many who are utterly false rise up against him.

One must not lose heart. One must have willpower.

Did the Prophet, the mercy to the worlds, who came as a mercy to the worlds (peace be upon him), ever lose heart? So many enemies came against him. He fought so many battles. Always with his willpower, Allah — with Allah's help, he said: victorious.

Even in the greatest battles, even at Badr, even in the Battle of Tabuk, even in the Battle of the Trench, in the greatest battles he prevailed each time. He was daunted by nothing. Now Hud (peace be upon him) too, with his people, in this way, by continuing, against so many idolaters resists with willpower. But the ground Hud (peace be upon him) stands on is firm. The others are on rotten planks. Wherever they step, they are about to fall. In this situation, since a prophet is in the position of father of his people, since he is in the position of father of his people, he approaches them with compassion.

With compassion. "Do you take for yourselves strong structures, hoping you will stay forever?" it says. "O my people, or, thinking you will remain in the world forever, building yourselves such strong buildings, do you spend your lives constructing these buildings? You are forgetting Allah and the Hereafter. Do you not take lessons from those among you who have gone to the Hereafter?" he said. However much Hud (peace be upon him) warned his people, his people (?) (?). But Hud (peace be upon him) keeps on with his warnings.
