“When you seize, do you seize like tyrants?”

Tafsir

Whenever you feel like it, when you catch people, rightly or wrongly, you do not hesitate to treat them like tyrants, to persecute them. When you want to kill your opponents, you do not hesitate to capture them and torture them and kill them brutally.

The people of the tribe of Ad were people devoid of mercy. Because if a person does not have the light of Allah, he does not have mercy in his heart. A person who has no mercy also has no pity for the other person. People deprived of these feelings would treat their captives cruelly and satisfy their ego with revenge for this treatment.

What is said in the video

Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 130: addressing the people of 'Ad, their prophet says: "When you seize, do you seize like tyrants?" it says. The people of 'Ad were strong, powerful, tall people. And they were tyrannical people. That is, people with no mercy in their hearts; since a person without mercy has a great love for the world, they, in their love of the world, in anything that harms their interests, recognize nothing at all. Indeed: "When you seize, do you seize like tyrants?" Their prophet addresses his own people. "Whenever you please, when you seize people, rightly or wrongly, like tyrants you treat them and do not hold back from oppressing them.

When you want to kill your opponents, you seize them, torture them, and do not hold back from killing them tyrannically either," it says. The people of 'Ad are people devoid of mercy. For if a person lacks the light of Allah, there is no mercy in his heart either. A person without mercy has no pity or feeling for the person before him. Those deprived of these feelings treat those they seize tyrannically, and in treating them so, they satisfy their nafs with feelings of revenge. Their nafs. Yes. If a person has no fear of Allah, in a person — if a person has no fear of Allah, that person's heart has neither feelings of mercy nor a conscience. Their only wish and desire is to get material gain in the world and to live.

They have nothing to do with the Hereafter. Because you don't believe in the Hereafter either.

If we look at non-Muslims today, including their rabbis and priests — exceptions, exceptions don't break the rule; Allah Almighty says there are Muslims who don't make themselves known in their deeds — these, even though they say "Allah," until they die believe neither in Jesus nor in Allah; that's what it says in the verse, doesn't it? "They," it says, "will not believe in Jesus until they die," it says. They both call him the son of Allah and do not believe. The lives of such people are full of lies that contradict each other. And Allah Almighty calls them lying disbelievers. It is because in their time they denied Allah too.

Having denied the One who created them, they waited for the Lord of their imagination. That is why, when they say Allah is One — we all know Allah is One — but when they say Allah is One, you will believe that they are lying about that too. Because right after, they regard Jesus as His son.

Yes.
