“Verily, I fear the punishment of a great Day for you.”
Tafsir
After warning his people with the previous verses, Hadrat Hud (peace be upon him) said, "Indeed, I fear for you the torment of a great day. That is to say, if you continue in your unruly ways. He said, "I am afraid that the wrath of Allah will overtake you and you will perish.
If Allah (swt) sends down His mercy on a people and grants them abundant favors, but they are ungrateful for Allah's blessings and turn their backs on Allah (swt), Allah (swt) will destroy such people on the earth. He says in one of His verses, "We do not take back what We have given you unless you change". So Allah does not need anything. Allah has placed all these beings at the disposal of human beings. He has also made human beings the caliphs of the earth. In this case, if people are not ungrateful for Allah's blessings, if they thank Allah and continue their worship, Allah will not take back what He has given them. Because won't man one day say, 'O Allah, I have done my duty to you, but you have taken back what you gave me? So Allah gives to man, and if man is proud of his wealth and property and uses what Allah has given him in a bad way, Allah will take back what He has given to these people so that they may be good out of mercy. Allah (swt) destroyed the people who exceeded the limits with their wealth. He has revealed these things to us as a remembrance.
What is said in the video
This is verse 135 of Surah Ash-Shu'ara. "Truly I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous day," he says. Allah Almighty calls no one to account from a generation He has not warned, and He does not leave their transgression on earth unpunished. After Hud (peace be upon him) warned his people with the previous verses: "Truly I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous day," he said. That is, if you keep on in your transgression like this, I fear that Allah's wrath will seize you and you will perish, he said. In my (?) they perish anyway. Because when Allah Almighty sends down His mercy on a people and bestows abundant favors on that people, and these people are ungrateful for Allah's blessings, if they turn their backs on Allah Almighty, Allah destroys such peoples on earth.
In a verse, "Unless you change, We do not take back what We gave you," says Allah Almighty. Unless you change. Indeed, Allah needs nothing. Allah has placed all these beings at people's command. And He has made people the vicegerents of the earth. So if man is not ungrateful for Allah's blessings and thanks Allah, and continues his worship in obedience, Allah does not take back from these people what He gave them.
For wouldn't man one day say, "O Allah, I did the duties I could toward You, but You took back from me what You gave me"? So Allah gives to man. And man boasts of wealth and property. If he uses the wealth Allah gave on a bad path, again Allah, out of mercy toward these people, so that they become good, takes back what He gave. He does not destroy them. What He gave, so that they become good. You know, He says, "I test you with your wealth and your lives." Yes. So Allah Almighty destroyed the peoples who overstepped the bounds with the wealth He gave. And He made these known to us as a reminder.
