Prophet Salih wanted to warn his people about their idolatry and their disbelief in Allah and the Hereafter, so he said to them, "Stop disobeying Allah. For Allah has bestowed bounties on you. He said, "If you eat and drink what Allah has provided and disobey Allah, I fear the punishment of a day that will touch you, so obey me.

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Fettekullâhe ve etîûn. Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 144. So beware of defying Allah and obey me, he says.
