“And in fields (of grain) and date trees that have tender spathes?”
Tafsir
Do you think that you will remain forever in the crops and the date-palms, whose buds are pleasant and tender, in which Allah has bestowed upon you and provided you with all the sustenance that will satisfy your needs by scattering it over the earth?
O my people! Do you not think that so many of you are dying and passing away? Their deeds remain in this world and they go to the Hereafter empty-handed. They do not come back again. When the moment of death comes, you wake up and see the truth. But you will go to the Hereafter to give an account of what you have done in this world and you will never return to this world. So do not deceive yourself with the blessings of this world. He said, "Be grateful to Allah, the Giver of these blessings, so that you may prosper.
What is said in the video
Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 148 "And amid crops and palm trees with delicate buds," it says. How beautiful. People are drawn to these. They are drawn to their vineyards, their gardens. They do not see the Giver. They think they made them themselves. With all your provisions, which Allah Almighty has bestowed on you and which meet your needs, He has provided for you by spreading them over the earth; amid these crops and palm groves with pleasant, delicate buds, did you think you would remain forever? Now, I have witnessed this with some people. Someone buys an apartment. He sees the apartment. "If only I could live here a while," he says.
You probably know this too. "If only I could live here a while." If you said to him, "You have a hundred years of life; shall we make it two hundred?" He'd say (?), right? Two hundred years. Now, why does this happen? It comes from weakness of faith. On what basis do we say this? Again, we say it on the basis of the verse. "They," it says. That is, the Jews, the Christian world. "They wish," it says, "if only we had a thousand years of life to live."
(?) faith, truly. (?) of faith. If they said to me, "Live a hundred years," I wouldn't, my friend. But the Prophet says, "Do not wish for death." "To remain in the world for one moment is (?) than to lie under the earth for a thousand years," he says. All right, but. And if I live a hundred years, will you guarantee that I will live normally? Will you guarantee that my body will be healthy? What if I groan amid illnesses, amid sufferings? Friend, isn't this a temporary place? Whatever my lifespan is, let it end there for me. Friend, let me continue my journey. There is still a journey ahead of us.
We were created in the realm of lahut. We were raised to the realm of spirits. Our turn came; we came into the world. At the end of our life in the world, we will die. We will again be raised to the barzakh. Then the Last Day will come. Then our bodies will be raised again. They will meet the souls. Then we will go to the Great Court. There, after settling accounts in the presence of Allah Almighty, after that we are at ease. Paradise, Hell. The matter is finished. We are still travelers, travelers.
What would I do by living two or three more years?
Yes. Look how beautiful. Think of the end.
O my people! Do you never consider that so many people among you are dying and passing away? What they did remained in the world, and to the realm of the hereafter they went empty-handed. And they never come back again. When the moment of death comes, you will wake up and see the truths.
When the moment of death comes, we will wake up. How will we see the truths? Izâ belegati'l-hulkûm. When the soul reaches the throat. Hîne'izin tenzurûn. Come on, turn it back then. Ve nahnu akrabu ileyhi minkum ve lâkin lâ tubsirûn. All the relatives, it says, have gathered around him. They wait for his soul to depart. "Is it you who are nearer to him with your power, or We?" it says. There, everything he lived through his whole life, in one second, like a cigarette's smoke dispersing before one's eyes, he sees it; in a second: "Send me back once more." Even if We sent you back not once but several more times, he would do the same thing again.
Yes.
When the moment of death comes, one wakes up. You see the truths. But to the hereafter, from which there is no return, one goes to give account of what you did in the world. And you can never return to the world again. So do not be distracted by the blessings of this world and deceive yourselves. Give thanks to Allah Almighty, who gives these blessings, so that you may attain salvation. He said. Who says this? Their prophet. Yes.
