Translation

They are not all the same. There is a group among the People of the Book who have integrity, who prostrate during the hours of night and read Allah’s verses.

Tafsir

They are not all the same. Among the People of the Book there is a people who are on the straight path and believe in Allah and His Book. But they cannot reveal themselves among those who turn away from Allah. They hide their worship from that community to avoid harm from them.

They recite the Verses of Allah at night and worship Allah. These are the people who are rightly guided, who obey Allah's commands, who believe in Allah and His Messenger, and who act in accordance with the Book from Allah (the Qur'an).

What is said in the video

Verse 113 of the Surah. They are not all the same, He says. All of them. As we said a moment ago, except the people among them, those honoured with the religion of Islam, except the people who cannot make themselves known. Among the People of the Book there is an upright community, He says. Look, now He has come to that. In the hours of the night they prostrate and recite Allah's verses, He says. These, wary of those people, afraid of being excommunicated, do not make themselves known. They do not make themselves known.

Among people you cannot know who is what. You cannot know who is what. Yes.

They are not all the same. Among the People of the Book there is a community that is upright, on the right path, believing in Allah and His books. But, not revealing themselves among those who turn away from Allah, to avoid the harm that would come from them, they hide their worship from that society. Only at night do they both make up the prayers they could not perform and make supplication to Allah Almighty. When they are alone they perform their prayers on time, where no one sees. A person is a guest of a Jew. The Jew asks his guest: the time has come in, won't you perform your prayer? You are a Muslim, he says. And the person says: I will pray, but I didn't know whether your house was suitable.

I mean, I will certainly pray. Then come in, he says. Through a secret door he brings him to the place where he himself prays. I too am a Muslim, he says, you can pray here, he says. There are such people who hide themselves.

In the hours of the night they worship Allah by reciting Allah's verses. These are people whose course is right, obedient to Allah's commands, believing in Allah and His Messenger, acting by the ruling of the book from Allah, the Holy Quran. When "whose course is right" is said: people honoured with the religion of Islam, who have believed in all the prophets sent, and are bound by the Holy Quran. Yes, whose course is right — in one sense, as long as they are bound by these, people who carry out the sharia rulings, who are bound by Allah's commands and prohibitions, who obey His command, who keep away from His prohibitions.
