When goodness befalls you, they will be worried and when calamity hits you, they will be in joy. If you are patient and protect yourselves, their plots will not harm you. Verily, Allah has surrounded what they do.
Tafsir
O you who believe, if good befalls you, your enemies and those who dislike you grieve, and they are jealous and anxious because of the blessings that have been bestowed upon you. And if evil or calamity befalls you, those who do not love you and those who are your enemies will rejoice at it. So be wary of them. Judge by the Verses of Allah. If you follow the path shown by Allah, their tricks will have no effect on those who follow the path of Allah. Because Islam is a righteous person, it does not know deception and evil. He does not want to do evil to others. Therefore, since they are not open with the hypocrites, their traps and tricks cannot harm those who live Islam.
(If these enemies of Islam had tried to do what they would have done to Islam with the opportunities they had, the earth would have been plagued by sedition and mischief, unity and solidarity would have been broken, oppression would have been on the rise and the world would have become uninhabitable. Allah (swt) has programmed these worlds with the various emotions He has given them to prevent the harm they would cause to Islam. Allah (swt) has not taken these worlds out of the program. He has encompassed those who want to create mischief in the earth and extinguish the light of Allah within their own destiny in accordance with their covenant with Allah. He has provided life for the people who will come until the Day of Resurrection, so that they may live on earth and bear witness to Allah (swt).
What is said in the video
Surah Al Imran, verse 120 — that is where we have arrived. Look how nice it's going. Questions and verses complementing each other so nicely, our talk goes on. May Allah, in this world, never deprive us of remembering Him. Yes, where we recite the word of Allah, in those talks, just as if we were living in Paradise, a person feels a peace and a delight. When a person grows close to their Lord, they truly pass beyond the world, and if they come to prepare already for the answer they will give in the Hereafter, before their Lord, before their Owner — when a person surrenders to their Lord, they see themselves wrapped in the mercy of Allah Almighty.
Yes.
What does it say? Surah Al Imran, verse 120: If good touches you, it grieves them. As we said earlier, they do not want any good to come to you from Allah. So if good touches you, it grieves them. If a misfortune befalls you, they rejoice at that. What do they say? Look at the Muslim, look at the Muslim — look what the Allah he believes in has done, they say. They mock. If you are patient and guard yourselves — from whom? From them. If you guard your faith and guard yourselves from them too, their scheming will do you no harm at all. Surely Allah encompasses all that they do. Well, He encompassed what they do — did He not encompass ours?
He encompassed ours too. But because we have the light of faith, we beyond the oppression that lies in their own destiny do not go. We know our limits. With the Muslim's light. But they prepare schemes outside their destiny. They prepare scheming and evil. So Allah Almighty, to prevent their scheming and evil that go beyond their own destiny, encompasses them completely. No one can go beyond their own destiny. That's what Allah Almighty says: They set a trap. We too set a trap. But We are the best of those who set traps, it says. In this case, since the scheming and evil they would do lies outside their destiny, Allah Almighty does not allow them.
Because these worlds are programmed with a program and will continue until the Last Day. Yes, Asım. O you who believe! If good touches you, your enemies and those who don't love you are grieved. Why? Why? They wanted: let us always be superior to Muslims and bring them under our rule. Under our rule. Because of the worldly desire in them, love — love of the world — fame and renown, pride and arrogance, they want to see no one but themselves. In that case, if good touches you, if a situation arises that puts you above them, they panic. I wonder what harm they will do to us? Because this lies in their nature, that is, because that evil lies in them, they think this way.
Those who don't love you are grieved. Because of the blessings you have, they envy you and worry. And when harm or misfortune touches you, those who don't love you and are hostile to you rejoice at that too. So be cautious toward them. That is, be alert.
Govern yourselves by Allah's verses. If you walk the path Allah has shown, the traps they lay for you have no effect on those who walk the way of Allah. Because they are on the path of truth, on a perfectly straight path, on the sıratı müstakim. If one leaves that sıratı müstakim, one falls into Hell. That is, what we call the Sırat bridge — that Sırat bridge does not exist. If you leave the straight path, what happens? You go to Hell, of course. But not without being questioned, mind you. There is no such bridge. That is a saying. What does it say? You are to walk on the sıratı müstakim. That is, a perfectly straight path. If you go astray, you end up facing the people of Hell.
You go to Hell. Yes.
Because a Muslim is an upright person. He knows no scheming or evil. He does not want to do harm to others. Therefore, since they give the hypocrites no opening, their traps and schemes cannot harm those who live Islam. Because they go on Allah's path.
Surely Allah encompasses all that they do, it says. The enemies of Islam.
If these people who are enemies of Islam had tried, with the opportunities in their hands, to carry out against Islam the hostility they intended, the earth would fall into strife and corruption, unity would break down, oppression would rise even to (?) and the world would become unlivable. And as I said earlier, Allah Almighty has programmed these worlds; to their evil thoughts He gives no chance. When those evil thoughts of theirs, beyond Allah Almighty's programming of these worlds, are about to go, what does He do? He encompasses them with what they do. Yes.
Allah Almighty, with the various feelings He gave them, the harm they would do to Islam has averted, and He has programmed these worlds. Allah Almighty has not let these worlds go outside His programming. Those who spread corruption on earth and want to put out Allah's light — according to the covenant they gave Allah, within their own destiny, He has encompassed their evil. So that people who will come until the Last Day may find life on earth and make themselves witnessed before Allah Almighty, He has also secured life for the people to come. So if these people, within their own feelings, had acted with the schemes and evil they had set up, the earth would drown in (?) and in the end the people coming after would have been given no right to life.
So our Lord — "Elhamdülillahi Rabbil alemin" — when we say "praise be to our Lord who created the worlds," that praise here means: praise be to Allah who gives us life, praise be to Allah who, against the scheming and evil our enemies would do, programmed the worlds and set them against one another by their own states. With the meanings of many verses, our Lord, with the feelings He has given people, brings people to life. A person is both called to account for what he does, and, with what he does, cannot break the programming of these worlds.
