Fear the fire that has been prepared for the blasphemers.
Tafsir
Hellfire is such a fire! It is not like the fire of the world. It is a simple fire without smoke. It burns like a scorching electric lightning. It is prepared for the disbelievers. Do not be like those who have rebelled against Allah, who are subject to the ego and Satan, who have exchanged the temporary blessings of this world for Allah's promised paradise in the Hereafter.
Beware of the punishment of a Day when no one will benefit anyone, and only faith will be his companion, and no bribe will be accepted from anyone. And whoever covets the Fire prepared for the disbelievers and acts outside the command of Allah, Allah says, "We will not deprive them of the Fire which they covet".
What is said in the video
(?) Did we read this? We did, yes. We said it. Then 131. verse: beware of the fire prepared for the disbelievers, it says. To whom is He saying this? To whom is He saying it?
What does He say? Beware of the fire prepared for the disbelievers. Whom is He addressing? Whom is the Prophet (peace be upon him) addressing? O you who believe! That is, Muslims, to the Muslims! Don't you follow them, and don't let their way of life make you envious, and don't go after them, tagging along. Their living in luxury in the world is for a little while. In the end every soul shall taste death. Finally, your return is to Me. In that case, where are they there? At the Great Court. In the hereafter. They are alone and friendless, it says. Those are the eternal people of Hell, it says. The fire has been prepared for this, it says.
Hell too has been prepared for them. O you who believe, don't follow after them. And don't do what they say. Yes.
Hellfire is such a fire that it doesn't resemble worldly fire.
In one narration they say that the fire of Hell was washed seven times with water, and its extinguished state came to the world, they say. Yes. It is a smokeless, pure fire. Smokeless, just like the fire a welding machine produces. It scorches man and burns like an electric spark. Yes. It isn't a smoky fire like the one we know. It has been prepared for the disbelievers. Rebelled against Allah. Their nafs has followed Satan. For transient worldly blessings, the Paradise Allah promised in the hereafter they exchanged — don't be like such people. Yes, don't be like them.
Beware of the coming of a day when no one benefits anyone, only one's faith is one's companion, and no bribe is accepted from anyone; if you beware of the torment of such a day, you'll prosper.
That day when He says the judgment is Mine alone — that day only. The judgment isn't Allah's alone. They say the judgment is Allah's alone. No. As long as people live, judgment belongs to people. Judgment. He's alive. Allah has judgment too, of course, but not over people. Because Allah's judgment is the universe standing until Judgment Day. It's within His judgment. Within His power. But over people He has no judgment. People can pass judgment. Judgment is not Allah's alone. Only on that day is judgment Allah's. That day — when He says it: in the hereafter, at the Great Court, He has no partner, no spouse.
Nor any equal. In that case, be silent, says Allah Almighty. Today judgment is Mine alone, He says. Today judgment is Mine alone. So it's Allah who will judge. Yes. So, so that on that day of judgment you aren't left alone and friendless, Allah Almighty doesn't say to you: work in the world, give the money to Me, let your money save you — He doesn't say that. What does He say? (?) Me as Lord, a creator. Don't associate partners with Me. That is: that He is the absolute and, sir, sovereign of the universe, that He is the one power, and that He is a God who created these worlds from atom to globe, besides whom there is no god — know Me so, He says.
Know it so. Then, then, what you know prove by actual deeds. So that tomorrow at the Great Court: I knew You like this, You told me this, I knew You like this, so what is my sin today? So that you don't say that, don't say that — prove it with your actual deeds. How will I prove it? You'll perform three prayers, fast, give zakat, go on Hajj. You'll do good deeds and keep away from bad deeds. Prove these to yourself too. This. Why prove it? Don't You know? What need is there, Allah, for me to do this? When you say that: I know, I know, but when I reward you, the one exposed to Hellfire's torment will say: what did this one, like me, do? So I'll show you to him, He says. I'll show you to him, what you did.
That's why, He says, do these acts of worship for Me — they're for yourself, He says. For your own salvation, to be saved. Otherwise I have no need of worship, says Allah Almighty. Yes. What we said supports this verse. We're giving the meaning of the verses anyway. Muhammad (peace be upon him) is witness to all the prophets, and his ummah will be witness to the other nations. What is witnessing? Proving by one's actual deeds that one is a servant of Allah Almighty. Yes.
Isn't that so, (?)? Isn't that so? It is.
And whoever covets the fire prepared for the disbelievers and acts outside Allah's command, Allah Almighty: that fire they coveted, that coveted fire, We won't deprive them of it, He declares. Hey Hodja, what kind of talk is that? Who covets fire? Well, if you turn your back on Allah's commands, if, putting the polytheists or non-Muslims to shame, you carry on your way of life, if you mock Allah's verses in your words and of His commands fulfill none, you've coveted such a fire that your nafs, that nafs you call honorable, into such torment and suffering you've dragged — if only you knew of it.
Yes. We stopped at verse 131. I guess we didn't explain this part to you. If we did, you'll say: you explained it. Beware of the fire prepared for the disbelievers, it says. In the previous verse, what does it say? I know we explained that part: O you who believe! Do not consume usury doubled and redoubled; fear Allah so that you may prosper. We explained this. After that one verse — I guess this part remained. Beware of the fire prepared for the disbelievers. Hellfire doesn't resemble the fires we know in this world. Hellfire is like what an electric spark gives off when welding, like those sparks.
It's like a magnetic field. That is, like the spark from two — minus and plus electricity — hitting each other. And the reason is that everything in the hereafter is of light. Anyway, with corpses, that is, with these bodies, Paradise and Hell won't be entered. Man sees himself in this body, in the guise of the body, and always thinks he's like this. And as if Allah Almighty addressed this body, he sees himself that way. Whereas Allah Almighty, the spirit within the appearance of this body, addresses — the spirit. Because spirits are immortal. Every soul will taste death, and finally your return is to Me, says Allah Almighty.
It doesn't say spirits will die. In that case Hellfire too is of light. It doesn't resemble worldly fire. So, since He says beware of the fire, the fire prepared for the disbelievers — Allah Almighty —
in this verse too, many secrets to us He entrusts. Or, for us to understand, many ways He shows. One: O people, look, if you deny Allah, you'll enter the fire of Hell, prepared for you eternally. O people, like people who rebelled against Allah and (?) their nafs don't be. Look, We prepared Hellfire for such people; beware of them, beware of that fire — He shows us many ways like this. Because Allah Almighty loves people, to the disbelievers too a warning: look, this fire was prepared for you; there's no god but Allah, don't you associate anything with Allah, don't ascribe partners. Allah Almighty declares many ways to people in His verses.
What does He say here? Beware of the fire prepared for the disbelievers. So who wants to be a disbeliever? Use your reason. According to the verse Inne'd-dîne inda'llâhi'l-İslâm, since besides Islam there is no religion, under the shade of the religion of Islam, under its light, under its radiance, make yourself a shelter. A shelter, so you're protected from it, protected from that fire. Otherwise you'll face the torment of an endless world with no eternal salvation. Yes. It's a smokeless, pure fire. It scorches man and burns like an electric spark. It has been prepared for the disbelievers. Rebelled against Allah, followed the nafs and Satan, for transient worldly blessings Allah's Paradise promised in the hereafter exchanged — don't be like such people, it says.
Who deified their nafs and forgot the hereafter, whose eyes are fixed on this world's blessings, and who, with words like "who has been resurrected after death?", got carried away by their nafs's whims, followed taghut, took Satan as their own guide — like such people don't be. Yes, beware of the coming of a day when no one benefits anyone, only one's faith is one's companion and no bribe is accepted from anyone; of that day's torment if you beware, you'll prosper. Like in the world, sir, (?) and people don't fear him. I mean, it isn't a world where they fear and you prosper. There, from the torment of a day when no one's strength will suffice, when humans and jinn gathering can't do Allah any harm, from that day's severity, while in this world you must protect yourself. Yes. Then what does Allah Almighty say?
(?) even if you had as much wealth as this world again and gave a bribe, to be saved you'd want, He says. There's no bribery there either. Whose property will you give as a bribe to whom? What does Allah Almighty say? Every soul will taste death. The inheritance of the heavens and the earth and what is between them will remain to Allah. So Allah created; Allah's property will remain Allah's. No being other than Allah will remain. When? When the Hour comes. He'll bring about the Hour. And finally in the hereafter, reviving our bodies again, having them bear witness against our spirit, after it's over, a second time there He'll make our bodies die.
With the verse: We revive you twice and make you die twice. So don't think it's your corpse made of flesh and bone that's being addressed. It's your riding vehicle. How do you get into your car? If you go wherever you want and get out of the car and to your nest return — likewise we came from there, mounted this body-mount, where we want we go here. When we get off here, that is, when by death the divine command comes, then we'll return to our original homeland. So, seeing yourself as flesh and bone, don't think it addresses flesh and bone. So don't say: who has been resurrected after death? If you say so — every soul will taste death and your return is to Me — you'll have denied that verse too.
Yes. In this case... (?) our daughter says, Surah Al-Imran, we stopped at 136, she says. She's right. Maybe we're around there. Look, what we explain doesn't match what we explained, you see? We explain it as Allah Almighty gives it. So listen. Listen. If you've listened, if you've listened — we don't recite what we memorized like a hafiz or a parrot. Sometimes in the first meaning, sometimes in the second, sometimes in the fifth, tenth meaning, we explain it. So listen. Yes. Yes. And Muhsin Pasha says: I remember we stopped at (?), he says. Yes, he's right.
And whoever covets the fire prepared for the disbelievers and acts outside Allah's command, Allah Almighty: from that coveted fire We won't deprive them, He declares. Of course. If you deify your nafs and go on a path Allah doesn't want, if on the path Allah Almighty told you, that luminous path, that path of salvation, that peaceful path, you turn your back, and (?), you wanted that place.
So Allah doesn't create man for Hell. Man leaves himself (?) there. Yes.
