Translation

This (The Qur’an) is a proclamation for all mankind. For the muttaqi (who abstain from sins), it is a guidance and an advice.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) invites all people to the Qur'an with this verse and says, "The Qur'an is a guidance for mankind. The religion in my religion is Islam alone. The Divine Book of the whole human world is the Holy Qur'an. The Qur'an is an explanation to mankind. That is, since human beings are intellectually incomplete. By giving people many examples in the Holy Qur'an, Allah (swt) is a light and a proof that He has set before people after He has proved His Essence and introduced His Essence to every intelligent person. So if people deny these Verses after that, they are working against themselves.

The Holy Qur'an is an admonition to the owners of piety. For the owners of piety are those who know Allah with certainty and obey Him. They have recognized Allah. They do not need to prove Allah. They are the people who know their Lord and want to fulfill Allah's command by following the Books and Prophets that come from Him, by holding tightly to the Verses, by ruling by what their Lord says, and by fulfilling Allah's command. It is therefore an admonition to the owners of piety.

Calling the world of mankind to guidance with this verse, Allah (swt) has shown all the right paths towards mankind. He has proved His complete existence. If people turn their backs on Allah and His Verses and deny them, they, who have their will in their hands, make their own decisions and prepare their own death sentence. In future events, one can never blame God.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-i Imran, verse 138. Yes. This Quran is a clear statement for all humanity. And a guidance and an admonition for the God-fearing.

What is the Quran for all humanity? You know, some hodjas say the Quran came to the Muslim, they say. The Quran did not come to the Muslim. The Quran came to all humanity, to the whole world. Whoever was honoured by it was bound by the religion of Islam. Yes. The one who turned his back on it, turned his back on the Quran, was described as non-Muslim. And as far as Allah Almighty has told us, whoever doesn't follow the Quran, turns his back on Allah, on Allah, in the Prophet (peace be upon him), well, doesn't believe, these are destined for Hell forever, it says. Allah Almighty, on earth, in no way making distinctions among the people He created, (?), sent His Quran to all the worlds.

The Quran is a clear statement for all humanity. And a guidance and an admonition for the God-fearing. The God-fearing. Who is bound by the Quran? Muslims. Who listens to the Quran? The God-fearing listen. It's an admonition, a piece of advice. The Muslim, the Muslim sometimes listens, sometimes doesn't. The Muslim, in the commanding nafs, sometimes does Allah Almighty's commands, sometimes doesn't. And with his own language, his own tongue, he places himself in the middle of Paradise. These are commanding nafs. So without any deficiency in Allah's word, how beautifully He says: The Quran is a clear statement for all humanity.

Because Allah Almighty created people deficient in intellect. Because He created them deficient in intellect, before them as a guide to right guidance He placed the Quran. Yes.

The Quran came as a guide to right guidance for all the worlds. To the worlds. So people bound by the Quran are people honoured with the religion of Islam; while as a statement to humanity, that is, before them as a leader, a guide, a light, Allah Almighty, before people, sent the Quran, the people who leave themselves in darkness are people who turn their backs on the Quran; they want to steer themselves with their own minds, these poor people. In this case, in this case these people with their own hands fall into the well they dug. That is, they sink into a swamp. During their lives too they can't escape unrest.

For the God-fearing it is a guidance and an admonition. The Quran.

Allah Almighty in this verse, inviting all people to the Quran: the Quran is a guidance for people. With Me the religion is only Islam. And the divine book of all humankind is the Quran, He decrees. Of all humankind. Well, Hodja, the People of the Book, didn't Allah send them? They too are within this. The People of the Book He mentions: the genuine ones, of course. In their originals, within the Quran. Whatever there is, wet and dry, it's all in the Quran. So if someone doesn't believe in the Quran, it means he doesn't believe in the book in his own hand either. So these, these are persons who chase their own ideologies.

There's more beyond that, but let's not say that part. What's beyond? He's without religion. What's beyond? He's without faith. Yes.

Because if Allah Almighty holds a light before people with the Quran, if it's an admonition, people who turn their backs on the Quran, and at the same time those who, although the Quran came to Muhammad (peace be upon him), do not recognize him,

who turn their backs on him although he came as mercy to the worlds, surely, in Allah Almighty's sight, they are without religion, without faith. Whoever believes in the Quran, all prophets, and that there is no god but Allah: these are people of faith. People of faith. You know, as they asked in the last lesson: no, there's no true faith, imitative faith, like that. Such things as imitative faith, true faith, whatever, don't exist. If it's faith, it's faith. He has believed. He has believed. So the others are hypocrites. You cannot call a Muslim a hypocrite. "He has imitative faith." That is, the man is Muslim, he doesn't pray, doesn't fast, doesn't give zakat. You go and call this imitative faith.

A Muslim says the declaration of faith, has believed, has faith, but can't pray. In their hands (?), on their feet chains. (?) he just can't do it. But Muslim. He doesn't deny Allah.

So these are people of faith. Even if they enter Hell, their faith will be perfected and they'll come out. But the others, because they are without faith, will stay in Hell forever. Yes.

Allah Almighty, by saying in this way that the Quran is a clear statement for all people, decrees that all people are Allah's servants, that there's no god but Allah, and that as Creator He is our Lord, and that we observe His commands. In fact, observing Allah Almighty's commands is for our own benefit. We both find peace, and enjoy life, enjoy living. And we have a security for the hereafter. And without losing hope in our Lord's, our Lord's mercy, in His mercy, well, that we'll be gathered under His mercy we hope. How beautiful. We have a hope. But the others have no hope at all. They're chasing empty dreams.

The Quran however is a clear statement to people. That is, since people were created deficient in intellect, by giving many examples to people in the Quran, Allah Almighty, proving His essence, to every possessor of reason His essence has made known. To every possessor of reason. No person can prove Allah Almighty's non-existence. If he's intelligent, of course. Because Allah Almighty addresses reason too. This much order, this world gathered together, they consulted? The world's (?), its being a filter and its balance being kept, did they bring that about themselves? That is, so many animals came together: if this happens, if this deficiency occurs, this will happen; your duty is this; if this happens, that happens, your duty is that, they said, and they balanced this world like this?

Can your mind accept that? So there is only one force who does this, and that's Allah. Our Lord who created these worlds. So He has proven His existence to every possessor of reason.

Besides, even back in Allah's world, the world of spirits, Allah Almighty, (?), as we call it, with the reason He gave those spirits, it's that every person knows he was by a Lord created. That's what "they said yes" is. That is, I was created. But since our Lord values people greatly, since He gave them (?) from His spirit, since He created a likeness of His essence, out of arrogance and pride they turned their backs on Allah Almighty. Doesn't our Lord say so: My Beloved, their betraying you, don't mind it. In their time they betrayed Me too, He says. That is, they didn't recognize Me. We made a covenant with them.

And We gave them their wishes as their destiny. Their living in the world in pomp, their living, is for a short time. Finally their return will be to Us, He says. Yes.

So, from now on, if people deny these verses, they'll have acted against themselves. Won't they? As I said, into the well they dug with their own two hands, that swamp, they will have fallen themselves. No one will be able to say to Allah Almighty: if You had done this for me, I would have attained Your mercy. In an unseen world, Allah Almighty, with His prophets, His books, His scholars, addresses people. What does He say? O people, I created you so that My essence would be known. That there is no god but Allah, that these worlds, from the atom to the sphere, whatever there is, were created by Me: know this.

I didn't tell you to work and pay Me a fee, He says. Just know My essence, and for your own benefit the duties I call worship fulfil; and prayer too is for ourselves. Look, people go to gyms to lose weight, well, doing who knows how many movements, indecently. Allah Almighty, however, with decency, so beautifully has us pray; all the movements they'd do are present in the prayer.

(?) the heart (?), five times a day. Every kind of path He has shown us as worship; again, so that our own body lives in health and well-being, our Lord made the acts of worship known to us. In this way we both protect our body and, by carrying out our Lord's command, His mercy we earn. Could there be a greater reward than this?

So if people step outside Allah's commands, with their own two hands they dig their own wells, and to Allah Almighty in no way can they say: if You had done this, I'd have attained Your mercy. Because, by Allah Almighty's attribute of Godhood, every question they'd ask, to Allah Almighty will have been made manifest, and people, from the questions they'd ask our Lord, will be cut off. In this case, how beautifully He says: what you earned is the return of your two hands, He says. So that no one is wronged today, what everyone earned will be given to him in full, He says. So Allah Almighty, who gives us life with such beautiful verses, to all people: O people, there is no god but your Lord.

All worlds were created by a single God, by a Lord. So all the books I sent and the prophets I sent are true. Believe them and have faith. I don't say work and pay Me a fee, He says. Know My essence, and for your own benefit the duties I call worship fulfil. And I, being true to My word, according to the verse that no one is as faithful to his word as Allah, will give you the Gardens I promised you, He says.

This world is permanent for no one. Every soul shall taste death. And by the verse "finally your return is to Me", this wealth too is permanent for no one. Since He says the inheritance of the heavens and the earth and what's between them is Allah's, we live here as trustees. Towards possessions, towards the possessions we own, we live as trustees. So, using our minds, not deceived by this fleeting worldly life, paying no heed to the world's rosy appearance, Satan's promise to people, the pressure the taghuts put on people, (?) taghuts, if we fulfil our duties to Allah Almighty, we will build up both worlds.

The Quran, for the God-fearing, is an admonition. To Islam, isn't it? An admonition to Islam too. To the unbelievers, isn't it? An admonition to them too. But it's admonition, but those non-Muslims have turned their backs on it. They don't believe anyway. Their nafs makes everything look fine to them.

Muslims, they too are (?). In the commanding nafs. No prayer, no fasting, no zakat, no pilgrimage. Every kind of legitimate way, illegitimate way our Lord doesn't want, those exist with them too. But they don't leave the religion of Islam either. So not leaving the religion of Islam does not mean that Allah Almighty's admonitions one is carrying out. Who carries out the admonition? The God-fearing. Who are these God-fearing? For Allah. Those who avoid doubtful things and who from the heart are bound to Allah; these try to carry out our Lord's commands. Because the God-fearing are those who know Allah with certainty and obey.

The God-fearing: these have risen to the nafs at peace, are aware of the manifestations, those who know with certainty. Like the state of people who, having seen you and me, no longer doubt whether this Ahmet, Mehmet exists or not, our Lord's manifestations, becoming aware of them, like the Companions who (?) to the Prophet immediately becoming aware of Allah Almighty's manifestations and becoming Companions, and never again, dying, giving their lives, (?) from Islam they did not turn away; just so, these people too (?) Allah.

They have come to know Allah. They have no need for proving Allah. These people. Does He exist or not, I wonder? Really, who went over there and came back, is this doubtful? Or is there such a thing? Like that. These need no proof. Or, look, these worlds were indeed created by Allah. Well, people (?) to make these; words like that they have no need of. They know now.

They truly know.

For them there's no doubt.

Some things should be said, but we don't say them.

We don't say them because we're speaking to the general public.

The need to prove Allah (?). Knowing his Lord, following the books and prophets that come from Him, holding fast to the verses, bound by what his Lord says: people who carry out Allah's command.

Therefore to the God-fearing the Quran is an admonition. The Quran. Because since we were created deficient in intellect, our Lord shows us the way in the Quran. He holds a light before us.

So to those bound by it, to those bound by the Quran, an admonition. And (?), what does Allah Almighty say? Whoever acts on what he knows, We teach him what he doesn't know, He says.

If a person, as far as he knows, in sincere obedience and worship to his Lord continues, what he doesn't know Allah Almighty Himself, spiritually, trains him in and teaches him. There's a verse. If you say, have you lived it, Hodja: I have lived it and I'm still living it. For answering so many questions asked, this mental capacity wouldn't suffice. We lived it, we were trained, and we're living it.

Allah Almighty, who calls humankind to guidance with this verse, having shown people all true paths and proven His existence without deficiency: after that, if people turn their backs on Allah and the verses from Him and deny, the people who hold (?) in their hands, making their own decisions themselves, will have prepared their own death sentences.

In the events after this, a person can never blame Allah. Yes, our Lord makes everything known. How beautiful.

So Allah Almighty, if He sent the Quran to us, before us, as a guide, a guide to right guidance, a brightness, a light, that is, for people's salvation, our Lord, having sent; for the people in the unseen world to live comfortably He sent His verses, and to those who in their affairs are (?) to their Lord He has shown many worlds. Within these worlds people know their Lord with certainty. In this case, what does Allah Almighty say in a verse anyway? The angels and the scholars bear witness to Allah's existence.

It doesn't say Muslims, it says scholars, within Islam scholars. They bear witness to Allah's existence. Do you bear witness too, Hodja? If you ask: yes, I too am among those who bear witness. Even further, even further, to some worlds that perhaps angels haven't seen, secrets; yes, that's why the Quran's verses they cannot open with Arabic speech. Arabic speech takes you up to a point, of course. But when you go down to its grammar, many verses are opened wrongly. And after that, (?) Allah.
