There is no one whose death is not dependent on Allah’s allowance. It (death) is by a determined time. To those who desire worldly benefits, We give it to them. To those who desire the reward of the hereafter, We give that to them. We will reward those who are grateful.
Tafsir
Our Lord informs us that all human beings will die according to the verse (All souls will taste death) and that this death depends on Allah's permission. He declares that there is no other God but Allah, that He has fixed all deaths for a period of time, and that no one will die before the end of that period, or that he will be caught there, even if he runs away to escape death or takes refuge in the remotest corner of the universe.
We should put our trust in Allah and surrender to Him, and to be cowardly and say, "If I go to war, I will die," is to decide one's own death instead of Allah's, which is hidden shirk. They become sinners.
In this respect, if a person relies on Allah in trust and lives by what He says, rather than living in constant fear of death, he will die once in his lifetime from that inevitable end that will come one day, that is, death. According to the verse in which He says that death is written according to a certain period of time, death is not based on time. Death is permanent with the breath. A certain period of time is the number of breaths.
The number of breaths a person takes and exhales, however many breaths are allotted to the human being, death occurs at the end of the breath. In this respect, Islam makes people observe cleanliness and keep their bodies fit with their prayers, thus extending their life span in time. If a person is healthy and breathes normally, the intervals between breaths will extend his life in a certain rhythm. If a person lives in drinking, gambling, or in swamps that can impair health and cannot leave the fun there, the excitement or lack of air or the deterioration of the person's health will lead to frequent breathing, which will consume his life quickly. The life span that Allah (swt) says depends on a certain period of time is based on the number of breaths and is recorded in the sight of Allah (swt). Death will never occur before the end of this number of breaths.
Whoever turns away from Allah and seeks the blessings of this world in the midst of such truths, Allah will grant him the blessings of this world. And whoever asks Allah for the blessings of the Hereafter, Allah will grant him the blessings of the Hereafter. Those who persevere in the way of Allah and are patient, Allah will reward them. And He will bless them with the blessings of the Hereafter. They will enjoy the mercy of Allah in this world and in the Hereafter. They achieve victory in the sight of Allah by fulfilling the commands of Allah (swt) and building both worlds.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Imran, verse 145. The verse. There is no one whose death does not depend on Allah's leave. It is impossible. There is no one who would die without His leave. If a question like this comes to your mind: 'Hodja, that's just talk, come on, tell me now: you pulled out a pistol and shot yourself, you put a rope round your neck and hanged yourself, does that also depend on Allah's leave?' Yes. This is in your destiny, you are doing it, and that too depends on Allah's leave. Because you wanted it that way; you will carry out your own will. When you, from death, that is, fleeing from battle so as not to die, stay sitting at home, when you are with those who stay behind, that is, with the women, if death had come to you, you would go yourselves, on your own feet, to the place where you would die, it says.
In the verse. Because everything is programmed; what will happen where appears second by second.
There is no one whose death does not depend on Allah's leave. Death is written according to a fixed term.
What is this term? A fixed term. In this world, I tell you, look, in this world you won't find a man who will open up this part. Bound to a fixed term: which term, bound to what? Back at the very beginning, at the address 'Elestü bi-Rabbiküm', to Allah Almighty, in that covenant you gave, in that covenant, whatever your will was, in however many breaths you would carry out this will, and however you would prove yourself within this number of breaths, that number of breaths became a lifespan for you. This is what is bound to a fixed thing. What does it say? Death is written according to a fixed term.
It was written according to this term. It depends on the term of your wish and desire, of your will.
You neither go beyond that term nor fall short of it. You neither decrease nor rise. That is, live longer. So this is a fixed term, a lifespan.
Whoever wants the blessings of this world, We give him of it. And whoever wants the reward of the hereafter, to him too We give of it.
We will reward the grateful, it says. See, I said it just a moment ago. He will reward the grateful. So don't say 'Hodja, that's just talk'; we are always quoting the verses. The verses. These talks are like this, in line with the verses. Yes.
So one more thing follows from here: whoever wants the life of this world, We give of the life of this world; whoever wants the hereafter, it says, We give him of it too. So people's, I mean, or Allah Almighty's willing here over a person does not exist.
Now, this willing does not exist here. It is the person who wills, according to his own will. According to the verse 'every soul will taste death', that all people will die and that these deaths depend on Allah's leave, our Lord informs us. It depends on that leave. That there is no god besides Allah, that He has bound all deaths to a term He decreed, that no one will die before this term is over, or that even if one flees to get away from death and takes refuge in the remotest corner of the universe, he will be caught there, He informs us. This too is a verse. A person: 'Even if you flee from death and go to the remotest corner of the universe, We will still find you there,' it says.
Acting cowardly about our trusting in Allah and surrendering to Him, saying 'if I go to battle I will die', means a person deciding, in Allah's place, about his own death, which is not in his hands, and these are hidden shirk. They become sinners. 'Well, if I go to battle I will die.' 'Then I'll become who knows what.' Even better, you'll become a martyr. How would you know you'll die?
Well, what does this amount to? Deciding in place of Allah Almighty. Because deaths depended on Allah's leave. If you decide in His place, you fall into shirk. These are hidden shirk. Yes. So if a person relies on Allah with trust and lives by what He says, rather than living in constant fear of death, from the one that will come one day, that inevitable end, that is, death, he dies once, (?) of that life. Rather than dying every moment of fear, of the fear of death, every moment, you die once, when that death comes. So if you put your trust in Allah, bind your heart to Allah, you won't fear death like that and you live in peace.
According to the verse that says death is written according to a fixed term, death does not depend on time. Death depends on breath. A fixed term means the number of breaths. As I said a moment ago, I don't know whether we opened this up here or not.
According to the covenant the person gave, according to his will, in however many breaths he will prove himself in worldly life with his actual deeds to carry out that will, that becomes a lifespan for him. However many breaths a person takes in and out have been decreed for him, at the end of his breaths death befalls him. So Islam, by having one observe cleanliness and through its acts of worship, keeps the human body fit and lengthens his life in terms of time. With cleanliness.
Let's say a person takes 70,000 breaths a day.
Let's calculate that way. If you are ill, you take 75,000 breaths.
Let's say a person smokes. Its nicotine poison fills the pores in the lungs.
And the person's breathing gets faster. Let's say he takes eighty thousand breaths that day. In this way the person lengthens or shortens his life, but not in the number of breaths. In terms of time. In terms of time. That is why Islam has the observance of cleanliness. In Islam there is keeping away from makruh things. And this body our Lord has given us, this bodily frame: what does the verse say? 'I will call you to account for the way you used the trust I gave you.'
If this trust has been given to me, although I appear in this form and call it mine, my body is, from the Lord, a trust to me. If I betray this trust, its punishment, in this world I suffer with torments, and in the hereafter I give account for it. That is why the religion of Islam, to let you live in peace and in health, has told you what the body needs, and so it tries to keep you fit through your acts of worship.
So then, if a person relies on Allah with trust and lives by what He says; we probably read that part. However many breaths a person takes in and out have been decreed for him, at the end of his breaths death befalls him. So Islam, by having one observe cleanliness and through its acts of worship, keeps the human body fit and lengthens his life in terms of time. In terms of time, not of breaths.
Yes.
If a person is healthy and breathes normally, the intervals between his breaths, in a certain rhythm, lengthen his life. If a person lives in drink, gambling or swamps that ruin health and cannot give up his amusement there, through excitement or lack of air or the person's health breaking down, frequent breathing arises, and this quickly uses up his life. So the life Allah Almighty says is bound to a fixed term is bound to the number of breaths and is recorded with Allah. Death never occurs before this number of breaths runs out. What happens? What does the person say? 'You... I could not fully prove myself, I was going to turn back, my (?) was not really this, you took my life too early,' he will say.
He says this. That's man. When he sees that torment.
Whoever in this situation, amid so many truths, turns his face from Allah
and wants the blessings of this world, Allah grants him the blessings of this world. And whoever asks Allah for the blessings of the hereafter, Allah grants him the blessings of the hereafter. Allah rewards those who stand firm and are patient in Allah's way. Earlier, when we said this, people, those who attribute everything to Allah, were raising objections and defending superstitions. 'Allah gives provision to whom He wills as much as He wills, puts into hell whom He wills, puts whom He wills into paradise, gives the hereafter to whom He wills, rewards whom He wills.' But it turns out it is not so.
What is it? Of this world to whoever wants it, of the hereafter to whoever wants it. Outside the person's own wish and desire, a burden he cannot bear onto his back He does not load; whatever his will is, He bestows that on him, gives it. Yes.
And whoever asks Allah for the blessings of the hereafter is granted the blessings of the hereafter from Allah. Allah rewards those who stand firm and are patient in Allah's way. Allah Almighty's rewards, if you are patient. Everything is within you. Everything. Whatever you seek is within you. Don't go far. İbrahim Fakrullah says it like this: 'I seek the Beloved.' Within the soul, He (?) the soul. Everything is within you.
And He blesses them with the blessings of the hereafter. Both in this world and in the hereafter they attain Allah's mercy. By carrying out Allah Almighty's commands and making both worlds flourish, they attain victory with Allah. This is victory. True victory lies in earning Allah's mercy. Yes.
