Translation

There are many Prophets who have fought while having the soldiers of Allah beside them. They did not quail due to the things they were struck by (calamities) on Allah’s path, they have not shown weakness and they have not given in. Allah likes those who are patient.

Tafsir

Many prophets and their companions and friends of Allah did not slacken, did not complain to Allah, and were always patient, even though they had been through so much in the way of Allah. Many prophets were killed, many friends of Allah perished in dungeons and on death rows. But they never showed any slackness. They did not compromise on the path of Allah. They realized very well that the end of this mortal world is to give an account before Allah (swt).

Throughout history, people have spent their lives in rebellion against Allah by living in communion with their egoistic desires, thinking that the evil they do to themselves with their egoistic desires is life. They covet people's honor, commit adultery, gamble, deceive each other and extort each other's wealth in unlawful ways. They are cruel to the people of honor, the people who say Allah. By persecuting them, they increase their disbelief in the sight of Allah, while on the other hand, those who patiently endure their persecution for the sake of Allah and do not compromise with them, and do not abandon their religion, will receive great rewards in the sight of Allah. These patient people win both this world and the Hereafter and gain the mercy of Allah. Allah loves such people.

As we have explained in the one hundred and forty-second verse of this Surah, the believers and the unbelievers, the patient and the impatient, should be revealed, so that they can be seen, so that they will not have a word to say to Allah (swt) with Allah's attribute of being Allah, with the torture and cruelty that each person inflicts on his own soul. Let everyone choose the place they deserve by their own will.

What is said in the video

We have come to the second verse. We start from here.

How many prophets there were who fought with many men of Allah beside them, and they did not slacken or show weakness because of what befell them in Allah's way. Allah loves the patient.

So we continue with the verse. Surah Al-Imran, we continue with verse 146. How many prophets there were who, with many men of Allah beside them, fought, and because of what befell them in Allah's way did not slacken or show weakness. Allah loves the patient. So we did not come to this world to live a perfect life. We will suffer hardship and cruelty, and we will enjoy many pleasures. In this hardship and in these pleasures we will prove what kind of person we are. Will we live these pleasures within selfish desires? Or will we break our selfish desires and live those pleasures in Allah's way, the way our Lord commanded?

Or, in that hardship, in the troubles that befall us, will we complain against our Lord? Will we turn our backs on Allah? Or else, saying 'our Lord does not load on our backs what we cannot bear, we are being tested in this world', will we accept everything that comes from our Lord?

Yes.

This must be known.

How many prophets and the friends of Allah with them, fighting in Allah's way, although there was no event that did not befall them, the most obvious being the events at the Battle of Uhud, isn't it?

I mean, in history, through many events, they did not slacken and complain against Allah, and they were always patient. Most recently, most recently, our country's, our state's, our state's battles at Çanakkale and (?), our (?), our fathers', our uncles' martyrdom there: not one man left his post until he was martyred. Thinking that if a team came from behind, it would hold this place. Yes. And they wrote an epic. With what did they write it? They wrote it with their faith. So according to this verse of Allah, they did not slacken. After all, the end of this world will certainly come, life will come to an end, every soul will taste death, and finally, by the verse that says your return is to Me, we will go to give account before Allah Almighty.

So in this world, if you do not carry out Allah's command and, within selfish desires, a few hours' life you give up for the hereafter, though whatever is to befall you will befall you anyway. If you flee from death, it says, so as not to go to battle, if you don't go and stay with those sitting at home, you will go on your own feet to where you will die, it says. In that case those people, after all, here, a life of a few hours, for the hereafter, before giving it up, living in their hearts going before their Lord with a clean forehead and His welcoming them with a smiling face, while they live in this world, they cling tightly to their Lord's verses, stand firm on the ground and, never compromising on their Lord, give their lives. But they do not give up Allah's command.

So Allah says He loves the patient. Good tidings to them, it says. Yes.

Many prophets were killed. Like John, like Zechariah. Prophets were killed. Many friends of Allah gave their lives in dungeons and on the gallows. But they never showed weakness. That is, they made no concessions on Allah.

While giving their lives, swinging on that gallows, having gone to prison: 'All right, I will do what you say,' they did not say. They never abandoned the religion of Islam. They made no concessions on Allah's way. They understood very well that the end of this transient world is giving account before Allah Almighty.

Yes. Throughout history, people, within their selfish whims, selfish whims, with their selfish whims, living intertwined with them, it says. Taking the evil they did to themselves with their selfish whims for living, they spent their lives in rebellion against Allah.

We see it like this throughout history. Many people against them; the Muslims are very few. What do they say about the Muslim? 'He lives like a vegetable.' 'Tawhid (?) lives like a vegetable,' supposedly. Because he sees the reflection of his own life in that believing brother of his, that's why. He himself lives like a vegetable. One has tasted the joy of living, has filled his heart with his Lord's divine presence, and within Allah's commands, paying attention to halal and haram, aware that in the end he will give account before Allah Almighty, is a person who lives his life in the finest way.

The other, in a restless swamp, a dark setting, to relieve his own restlessness, making drunk the trust Allah gave him, the bodies, or in a way Allah does not want using those bodies, acting outside His command, so that he can turn that restlessness into pleasure for a moment, so that he can cover up the fear of Allah hidden in his heart, acting outside his Lord's command, is that (?) person who takes himself to be living.

That is the person who, when he sees a Muslim, says he lives like a vegetable.

They covet people's honour, commit adultery, gamble, and do not hold back from deceiving one another and seizing one another's property by unlawful means. Against the honourable, against people who say Allah, they (?) oppression. The reason: to satisfy their own selves.

Yes. While by oppressing them a person increases his unbelief with Allah, on the other side those who bear their oppression patiently for Allah, make no concessions to them and do not abandon their religion attain great rewards with Allah.

These patient people, winning both this world and the hereafter, attain Allah's mercy. Allah loves people like these. What does He say? We love the patient, says Allah Almighty. In verse 142 of this surah that we covered, as we explained, so that the believer and the unbeliever, the patient and the impatient, may come out. Let them become clear, so that, by Allah's attribute of being Allah, with the torture and oppression each person inflicts on his own self, they may have no word to say to Allah Almighty. Let everyone choose the place they deserve by their own will. So over a person, while people carry out their actual deeds, Allah Almighty does no willing.

I say it again: when people carry out their actual deeds, when these people make judgements, Allah Almighty does no willing over these people. When He says 'I put whom I will into hell', then Allah Almighty should not put that person into hell; He should not. He says 'I put them into hell', doesn't He; He should not put them in. Because a man went and killed a man. He went and robbed someone. He went and ate the unlawful. Sir, he went and left the religion of Islam. He left, and if He puts whom He wills into hell, whom He wills: He willed it for him, so he did it. Allah Almighty willed this for that person, so he did it, and when he did it, Allah put him into hell.

'But You made him do it, Allah Almighty; then He willed, You made that person do it, and then You put him into hell; what is his sin?' So no one can ascribe attributes to Allah Almighty or fit Him into their mind. Allah Almighty does no willing over a person. The person makes the judgement. The person carries out the actual deed, and what he did: fe men ya'mel miskâle zerretin hayran yerah, an atom's weight of good is recorded, and men ya'mel miskâle zerretin şerran yerah, an atom's weight of evil is recorded too. In that case the person, by his own actual deeds, is called to account before Allah Almighty with his (?) and sins.

So the people who know these things this way, saying 'I have knowledge', the buildings they build are buildings full of superstitions, words spoken after the forefathers.
