Mankind was only one nation. Then Allah has sent Prophets as givers of glad tidings and as admonishers. Tafsir
Before humans came to the realm of property, before our ancestor Adam was created from clay, in the realm of Lahut, our Lord created our souls and made a covenant with them. In a verse, Allah (swt) says
Al A'raf Surah Verse [172]
Remember when your Lord, before He brought forth the descendants of the children of Adam from their offspring, took them as witnesses against their own souls and said, 'I am your Lord,' and they said, 'Yes, you are our Lord, we bear witness. The reason for this witnessing is so that you may say on the Day of Judgment that we did not know about it.
Let us explain these Verses to you in the finest detail so that we can learn the truth. In the whole book, many verses in the Holy Qur'an have been opened wrongly and Allah (swt) has been characterized. I will tell you about them in due course and I will try to describe some of them here.
Al-A'raf Surah, Verse 172, this Verse has been opened incorrectly in all the Quranic translations. (Remember when your Lord brought forth the descendants of the children of Adam from their loins and made them witnesses against their own souls, saying, "Am I not your Lord?" and they said, "Yes, you are our Lord, we bear witness," and the reason why we bear witness is so that on the Day of Judgment you may say, "We did not know this.")
(Is it not I, your Lord, that Allah (swt) brought forth the descendants of Adam from their offspring and made them witnesses against their own souls? This opening is wrong. Our father Adam came into the world and from his offspring He brought forth descendants, that is to say, people were born from their mothers and Allah made a covenant with them after they came of age? Since Allah (swt) does not perform good deeds and sins on people after they have reached the age of reason, His covenant with me must be after I come of age. In the religion of Islam, this is the age of majority. In the civil code, people who have reached the age of eighteen are of legal age. Now, using our reason, I address you with these writings of mine, O people! Have you encountered such an event? Has Allah (swt) appeared before you and made a covenant with you? This event takes place after all souls have been created in the abyss and these souls have been given life with the soul, and then they are addressed by Allah (swt). I am your Lord. All souls say yes. This yes is also very meaningful. In fact, the spirits saying yes there is that the spirits know their creator with the intellect maad that Allah (swt) has given to the spirits and the intellect says yes. Otherwise, the spirits who do not follow their intellect even though their intellect shows them the truth, deny it there. Allah (swt) does not take into account the souls' denial and their rebellion against Allah and their not recognizing Allah. Because they deny Allah because of their ego. He does not take into account the denial of the spirits, since the intellect is given to the spirits as evidence and knowledge of Allah, while the intellect also knows Allah (swt). In this respect, he says that they said yes. In other words, the intellect given to the soul realizes that it was created by a Lord. Because that soul has no beginning and suddenly a formation occurs. That is when these souls realize that there is a Lord who created them.
Wrongly, it also says, "Am I not your Lord? This is also a wrong opening. When it says, "Am I not your Lord", I need to know about my creation so that I can be addressed with the word "Am I not your Lord". When I am created, our Lord will make me a witness to His creation and when I deny it to my Lord, He will address me and say, "Am I not your Lord"? Although there are people who will come and go on earth, they were created as spirits in the realm of Lahut, and suddenly they are given life and they all recognize themselves at once. And the address at that moment is that I am your Lord. Imagine a flat area and place dolls with batteries and dolls that can move on this area. Connect them all to a remote control. As soon as you give them the remote control, all of them will be in a state of movement at once. In order for Allah (swt) to create spirits and make them the addressees of His Word, He breathes life into all of them at once, and people suddenly come to know themselves. At that moment Allah addresses them. His address, "I am your Lord" appears. In a hadith, (Allah created the spirits in twilight, He scattered something of His light on them, and those who received that light found their way, and those who did not receive that light lost their way and went astray). In this hadith, our Prophet describes the address of Elestu bi Rabbikum. Take three groups of people, they are in ranks in front of you. This twilight is the twilight of the evening. People see the people in the front ranks as well as the people in the back ranks. Only the people are an unrecognizable twilight. He scattered something of His light on them. This light is the address of Allah (swt), (I am your Lord). Those who received that light found their way. That is, those who said yes, those who affirmed the Lord, found their way. Those who did not receive that light were confused. Those who said yes with their intellect but rebelled with their ego denied Allah because of their stubbornness. In this situation, they became disoriented.
Let us write a Verse, Verse 7 of Sûrah Al-Waqi'a, in its literal translation. (wakaluntum ezwajen selaseh) All human beings are of three classes.
Verse 8 (fa eshabul meymeneti ma eshabul meymeneh) O righteous, happy are those righteous.
Verse 9 (wa eshabul meş'emeti ma eshabul meş'emeh) O leftists, how pitiable are those leftists.
Verse 10 (Wessabigunessabigun) those who go forward are the ones who go forward.
Verse 11 (Ulaikal mukarrebun) these are the highest in rank, the class of the sabikun.
In other words, people have become three classes in eternal eternity. Again in another verse (We have divided you into tribes on the earth so that you may be quickly recognized.) In this case, everything has been written down in the eternal eternity, and the world is a place where this written program is put into action. Just as a seed reveals its own nature, i.e. a seed falls into the soil, sprouts there, turns into a plant and identifies itself as a tree or plant of whatever genus it is, when a human being becomes flesh and bones and comes to the realm of property, he bears witness to the world and himself by living what is in his nature. No one can attribute Allah (swt) in this situation. We said that we will give you a few examples of the verses of the Holy Qur'an that have been misinterpreted. One of them is (man yashaa) Allah's will. These Verses have also been opened incorrectly and Allah has been attributed. For example, I guide whom I wish. I give Mercy to whom I wish. The opening of these verses in this way also adjectivizes Allah. Because all created human beings are servants of Allah.
Allah (swt) says in one of His Verses (what you earn is the recompense of your two hands) and in another verse (We do not will injustice upon the worlds, but you wrong your own souls).) Now, according to these verses, the will of the human being, whose will is in the hands of human beings and who will be held accountable for his/her own actions, is eliminated, and if Allah (swt) is guiding whomever He wills and making whomever He wills do whatever He wills by making His will rule over human beings, then what if He is Allah? If Allah creates His creatures as He wills and no one can corrupt what He has created, and if the creatures are the creatures of Allah, do not these creatures ask Allah, O Allah, why did You create me to be subjected to torment, when You also created me? Doesn't the human will disappear with Allah's will? For example, another misunderstood verse:
By Allah, We created many of the jinn and mankind for Hell.
Opening this verse in this way attributes shortcomings to Allah and contradicts the verses.
The meaning of this is (By Allah, Hell has been created for many of mankind and jinn).
The reason is that Allah has shown the way and left mankind and jinn free in their will. He has created Paradise and Hell according to the good deeds, good deeds and bad deeds that people will commit. Allah (swt), as the Judge of Judges, will decide between them. Surely He will not reward those who commit evil deeds, rebel against Him and disbelieve in Him with Paradise.
We have listed here a few of the verses that have been opened incorrectly, and as they are opened incorrectly, they will be corrected in their meanings and their interpretation will be opened to you. Now that you have been given so much information here, let us continue with this verse, explaining the meaning of the verse, that you were one nation.
From the information I have explained above, it is understood that the purpose of a single ummah is that Allah (swt), who wills that His Essence be known, created the souls He created in the realm of Lahut, created them all equal and gave life to them all at once, addressed them and said (I am your Lord), and that the souls know their Lord, and those who use their minds (say yes). When the intellect knows their Lord, those who do not follow their intellect and are subject to their nafs (say no), when they are addressed in the address of Elestu bi Rabbikum, when they are subjected to that address, they are separated. Allah (swt) is actually creating our souls as a single ummah. In other words, He gives a part of His Essence to the Prophet (PBUH) from his soul, and from his soul He creates the souls of the prophets. By creating the souls of their people from the souls of those prophets, all human beings are actually created as a single ummah. In a verse.
Or our forefathers used to associate partners with Allah and we were a generation after them, lest you say, 'Will you destroy us because of those who commit falsehood?
We made a covenant with people in the realm of Lahut before they came to the realm of property, so that they would not say that we did not know about this, that we found our ancestors on this path, and that they would have nothing to blame Allah (swt) for. In other words, we made a covenant with them in the early eternity.
I sent you to the realm of property, which is a realm where my Self is invisible, so that the people whom He created close to His Self would not say, "If you had sent me to a realm where your Self is invisible, see how I would worship you." Surah Mülk Verse two (It is He Who created both life and death to test you, to see which of you is better in deeds. As understood from all these Verses, all the works have been finished in the world of the past, the destinies have been written and people cannot escape from their destiny and they will not escape from their destiny anyway. Because they asked for what they wanted, and Allah, the Creator, gave them what they wanted as destiny.
This means that all human beings were created in the realm of Lahut. They differed in their covenant with Allah (swt). Then, when the same events played out in the realm of property (Allah sent the prophets as bearers of good news and warners), Allah sent the prophets and the book out of His mercy so that people would not say, "If only you had sent me a prophet or a book to inform me about Him," and so that His Divinity would be obeyed and worshipped. Prophets introduce Allah to people and invite them to obey Allah. Allah (swt) gives glad tidings of Paradise to those who follow them. He warns those who do not obey Allah and His Messenger and warns them of Hell. When people found it difficult to judge among themselves, Allah sent them Books to guide them. However, after the Book had come to them, because of their pride and arrogance, the people, whose own feelings were destined for them in the Hereafter, became divided and disputed among themselves because of their pride and arrogance. Then Allah revealed to the believers, by Allah's permission, the truth about which they differed. Whoever seeks guidance from Allah, Allah will guide him.
I have tried to explain this verse to you. Here you can observe the following. Some people are not coerced or threatened and they believe in Allah. No one can dissuade them from their Faith. There are also people of disbelief who believe that there is no other world but this one, who have doubts about whether there will be a resurrection after death, who continue to live as if Allah does not exist, who discard Allah's laws and live according to their nafs. No one has ever forced or threatened them to live like this. Some people are on faith and some people are on disbelief. That is to say, whatever is in every human being's nature, however it is written, those paths have been facilitated for him. He made himself a witness to Allah in his own life. These issues will be touched upon later on, and the Verses will be explained in more detail.
What is said in the video
Let us read the verse once more. Let us read the noble verse once more. Mankind was a single community. Then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good news and as warners. Everything I have told you up to here, the secret of what I have told you is right here anyway.
I said I would explain this part to you at the end of the lesson. What we explain always confirms itself anyway. If one part contradicted another, then we would have been explaining by our own reasoning.
Unfortunately, because people built on such wrong information, because they built a structure on it, grasping the truth is hard for them. For this reason, on a structure built on some incomplete information, when the truth is explained to them, and the real truth, that too I will tell you later,
because they object to it, these errors keep coming out. Whereas if that were actually understood, everything would be put right.
We continue with the noble verse.
So that they would judge on the matters in which people disagreed, We also sent with them books showing the true path. But those who were given the book, after clear proofs had come to them, split in religion because of the objection among them. Thereupon Allah, upon those who believe, to those who believe, showed by His leave the truth over which they had differed. Yes.
We said: Allah shows the right path to whoever asks it of Allah. They interpreted this part wrongly. It says: Allah guides whom He wills to the right path. If He guides whom He wills, then the Quran is only for the believers, not for other people. Whereas the Quran is for all the worlds. So Allah Almighty wills all of them to believe, but only the person who wills comes to faith.
First we said this: since we wrote it for people in general, we kept some parts hidden. Since it would reach everyone's hands there, people cannot seek us out and ask us, cannot find us. And they fall into doubt from this.
We said we would open it up in detail. You know us too. When we open these verses, where your mind gets stuck you can ask us your questions.
Before people came to the realm of Mulk, before our father Adam was created from clay, in the realm of Lahut our Lord created our spirits and made a covenant with them. In a noble verse, Allah Almighty, Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172, we had opened this noble verse for you. Here again we open it in detail. Remember when your Lord, before taking out the offspring from the loins of the children of Adam, made them witnesses against their own selves. Whereas what do they say? From their selves, from the offspring of the children of Adam, He took out their hands. He made them witnesses to Himself. May Allah protect us. It has been interpreted wrongly.
We are telling the right thing. We will tell it here anyway. We will open it. And we will show you the errors of the verses. The errors of their interpretations; the verses are not wrong. The interpretations of the verses, their wrong interpretations, how they were wrongly interpreted, we will show you. And in which sense the verses, without ascribing attributes to Allah, without our Lord being given attributes, all His verses confirming one another, how they open, we will show you.
When He said "I am your Lord," for example, "Am I not your Lord?" It is not like that either. When He said "I am your Lord", the verses have all been wrongly interpreted from here, because it was not known. And they had said: yes, You are our Lord, we bear witness. The reason for taking this testimony is lest you say on the Day of Judgement: we knew nothing of this.
Let us explain these noble verses to you in the finest detail, so that we learn the truth. The truth. Now this is outside our lesson. But it is related to this, outwardly related to this noble verse, I mean. Briefly related too. Let us explain these noble verses to you in the finest detail, so that we learn the truth. In all the books, in the Holy Quran, many verses have been wrongly interpreted and Allah Almighty has been given attributes. Now I will explain these to you as their turn comes, and here I will also try to explain some of them. For example, verse 172 of Surah Al-A'raf. We have not reached that noble verse yet.
This is Surah Al-Baqarah. Now we, to you, verse 172 of Surah Al-A'raf, the noble verse, verse 179, that is, the wrongly interpreted verses are truly wrong; pay close attention. The verses are not wrong. That the wrongly interpreted noble verses are truly wrong, we will prove.
Now I said, in between, I will explain them as their turn comes and here I will also try to explain some of them. Surah Al-A'raf, 172. This noble verse has been wrongly interpreted in all Qurans. In translation, let us write the wrong interpretation here. Remember when your Lord took out from the loins, from the backs of the children of Adam, their offspring and made them witnesses against their own selves, saying: Am I not your Lord? And they had said: yes, You are our Lord, we bear witness. The reason for taking this testimony is lest you say on the Day of Judgement: we knew nothing of this. There are errors in two places in the noble verse.
The error of wrong interpretation, in two places. (?) the word "Am I not your Lord?" Two, sir, it says: from the loins of the children of Adam, from their backs, He took out their offspring. And also, sir, whether in the mother's womb, at reaching maturity, or in the first barzakh, it is not clear. If it is the first barzakh, it has nothing to do with taking the offspring out of the backs of the children of Adam. If it is in the mother's womb, will Allah Almighty make a covenant with a child? With a being that is unaware of itself? Sir, if it is at reaching maturity, did you see your Lord? So all three are (?), absurd.
All three views are absurd. Now we will explain these. People of sound mind accept that this is absurd anyway. Whoever it may be. Sir, there are prejudiced people. They judge. Their judgement is as if I had been carried away by the desires of the nafs, carried away by pride and arrogance; let me say, as if there were great pride and arrogance in me.
These are prejudiced people. Would someone explaining the truth fall into arrogance, into pride and arrogance? If there had been pride and arrogance, would our Lord grant inspiration to those people? Otherwise, these will be the thorn of the rose for the rose; if the rose has no thorn, the value of the rose is not known. Yes, Allah Almighty took out the offspring from the loins of the children of Adam and made them witnesses against their own selves, (?) "your Lord" not; we said this interpretation is wrong. We are opening it part by part. This interpretation is wrong. Our father Adam came into the world.
From the people who would come from his loins He took out their offspring. That is, people were born of their mothers, and after those people reached maturity, Allah made a covenant with them. Since Allah Almighty does not bring about reward and sin on people before they reach maturity, His covenant with me must come with my coming of age. And in the religion of Islam that happens by reaching maturity. Just as in civil law, people who have completed 18 years are of age. Now, using our minds, with these writings, with these writings of mine, I address you. O people! Have you experienced such an event?
That is, when you reached maturity, did Allah Almighty come before you and make a covenant with you? That is, did you see Allah in this world? Did you see Him with your eyes? Did such an event happen? Did He take out offspring from your back and make a covenant with you? Allah Almighty. This event: in the first barzakh all spirits are created, and after these spirits are given life with the nafs, they become the recipients of Allah Almighty's address. I am your Lord. A definite command. Alast. A definite command. All people say this to me. All who interpret it this way (?) are you the only clever one?
They say. Well, them, ask them, those who interpret it. One person interpreted it that way and all of them went on as copies of each other. Copies. None of them, none of those who interpret it this way has either seen this realm or grasped the secret of this noble verse. I say it with certainty. Well, when you say it like this, they say you have fallen for Satan. For Satan. What does this have to do with Satan? Use your mind a little. Use your mind a little. Then when he thinks about it, he kneels down. He kneels down. He understands. Now there is the yes of all the spirits. And this yes is very meaningful.
I opened and explained these to you earlier, so that when I explain it, it is easy for you to grasp. Yes. What had we said earlier? I am giving a reminder about Allah Almighty and the spirits. Allah Almighty gave the spirits the mind called the mind. That is, speaking there, being able to understand our Lord's word and judging accordingly. He gave us the mind. The akl-ı maht in the spirits. Sir, every spirit knows by this mind called akl-ı maht that it was created. That is the yes. You have a Lord. Here. But it denies the One who created it. It cannot recognise Him. But it knows. A Lord created me.
A God created me. There is a God, it knows. With what? With the mind there. Today the idolater, the Magian, whoever it may be, religious or irreligious, even those who say there is no God know in their conscience that Allah exists. They know this. Yes. This is it, this is the meaning of yes.
In fact the spirits' saying yes there is, by the akl-ı maat that Allah Almighty gave the spirits, the spirits knowing their Creator, and when the Creator (?), not necessarily Allah, but that someone created it, the mind's saying yes. Otherwise, although their mind shows the truth, the spirits that do not follow their mind, their mind shows the truth. The meaning here is this: yes, I was created, but those spirits that do not follow their mind, which wait for a Lord according to their own reasoning, deny there. Allah Almighty does not take into account the spirits' rebellion against Allah through denial, their not recognising Allah.
Why? Let them deny as much as they want. What does He say? We know that by the mind He gave, by this mind He programmed, it knows that it was created by a Lord. Since free will is in the human's hands, the human will give the judgement, whether to know the Lord or not. In this situation Allah Almighty commands people to use their free will. In this respect He gives free will into people's hands. There the human either uses his own mind or does not. According to the noble verse "Will you not use your reason?" We have explained this part very deeply too. Let us pass over it briefly.
When Allah Almighty said to people "I am your Lord", although the Prophet (peace be upon him) beside Him also said "Yes, this is our Lord", He does not make the covenant with them at once; He gives a period of time. Since within that time no god appeared who created him, although he surely knows he was created, while he should (?) to the One before him, that is his Lord, saying "I created you", because our Lord gave of His spirit, because he saw Him as close to himself, Allah Almighty, that is because he saw Him in human form, he waited for the Lord of his imagination and denied Allah. That is the matter.
Yes. Because they deny Allah because of their nafs. With the mind being given to the spirits as knower of His essence and (?), and besides the mind knowing Allah Almighty, knowing that a Lord created me, He does not take into account the spirits' denial. In this respect Allah Almighty says they said yes. Because it was programmed so; our Lord knows. If they had said no, Allah Almighty would not have been able to give them there a mind that would make His essence known. That is, not His essence, but He would not have been able to instil in it the mind that "a God created me". Since it said yes, all spirits know that a Lord created me, so that today even in the (?) of the world, in the deepest lands of Africa, in places no human foot has entered, even the tom-toms, those ancient (?), knowing they were created by a Lord, from sorcerers, sir, from (?), from (?) worshipped.
Yes. Wrongly, also, the address "Am I not your Lord?" appears; this too is a wrong interpretation. When He says "Am I not our Lord", when He says "Am I not your Lord", I would have to have seen my creation, my creation millimetre by millimetre, as I was being created; seen my Creator: how was I created? I would have to have seen this. Then, if despite seeing it I denied Allah Almighty, He would address us saying "Am I not your Lord?" Moreover, His addressing us "Am I not your Lord?" ascribes attributes to Allah.
See how it ascribes attributes? I am not saying it by my own reasoning, mind you. This is knowledge, quite a lot of it. My mind will grasp this. Did all the spirits deny there? In that realm of spirits, in the realm of Lahut: "Am I not your Lord?" Allah Almighty said. That is how Allah will make His essence known. What will He say, "your Lord"? Where? There is a sudden (?) coming to themselves of the spirits.
Let us say, imagine a table. On that table there are billions of pawns. Remote-controlled. The remote control is in your hand. When you press the remote, the pawns immediately start moving. Exactly like this, with a sudden coming into being, we see our own existence. And this is within the age of 33. Within that existence we feel (?). I am your Lord. There is no "Am I not so" or anything like it. "Am I not" ascribes attributes to Allah. I would see my own creation, deny it, and only then would He say "Am I not", "Am I not your Lord". That is why the verses have been wrongly interpreted. And because they were wrongly interpreted, people built on a wrong foundation.
When these truths are gone into deeply, they cannot grasp the events. And then they say that man is a heretic. Or satanic. Why do they say this? It is beyond the capacity of that mind. Because he learned it that way, he goes on that way. And the man is old, too. From now on it is no longer possible for him to change it. It is possible, though, for those of noble mind. They grasp it and fall silent. They see there that that knowledge also ends with them.
We witness this; there are such people. Sir, the others, they will be pricked by the thorn. They too, in proportion to their faith, since deeds depend on intention, because out of their love and longing for their Lord they cannot understand, they want to accept it that way. That is, sincerely; since deeds depend on intention, he does not ascribe attributes to Him. He is not aware that he ascribes attributes. Because he is not aware, because he sincerely carries the love of his Lord in his heart, they get off the hook here. Yes. Except for those who do it deliberately. But I do not suppose anyone does it deliberately.
What are we saying? It says here: wrongly, the address "Am I not your Lord?" also appears. This too is a wrong interpretation. When He says "Am I not your Lord", I must know my own creation in order to be addressed by the word "Am I not". That is, I would deny, and only then would He say to me: am I not your Lord? And while creating me, I would witness our Lord creating me, and I would know this, so that He would say to me, addressing me: am I not your Lord? All the people who will pass over the earth were created as spirits in the realm of Lahut, and with life suddenly being given to them, all of them at once have their own sight.
Suddenly the sight of its own existence came alive, came into being. Its coming into being. Now let us say let us take this glass in his hand as our spirit. The spirit. It is unaware of itself. Right now it is unaware. When He suddenly starts its mechanism, it sees that it is a glass. Likewise the spirit there suddenly sees that it is in a human shape, in such a form. There is a sudden coming into being of this. Right at that moment there is our Lord's address "your Lord". As soon as they come to themselves, just as a person wakes from sleep and sees his existence, comes to his senses, like that, at once, an address from across.
I am your Lord. And right before us.
If you ask whether there is proof that it is so, there is. What is the proof? He was (?) once more in His true form. Where? When the Messenger of Allah came down from the Mi'raj. And his eye did not swerve or stray. He confirmed what was in his heart. His eyes confirmed what he had seen in his heart. These words all point to our having seen our Lord in the realm of Lahut. Yes.
We are explaining here an example I gave a moment ago. What are we saying? Imagine a flat place, an open square, and on this area place battery-powered toy dolls that can move. Connect all of them to a remote control. As soon as you give them the remote control, all of them start moving at once. Likewise, Allah Almighty created the spirits, and in order to make them recipients of His word, He gave life to all of them at once, and people's knowing themselves comes about as well. At that very moment Allah Almighty addresses them. I am your Lord.
How do you know, Hodja? If our Lord had not shown us this, we could not have explained this realm this certainly, and this verse this way. But through being wrongly informed about the true meanings of these verses, people are unaware of this covenant; they know nothing of these things. And within such explanations they describe persons with other attributes. What happens? He has fallen for the satanic. This has a connection with Satan. It is also impossible for Satan to enter here. It is also impossible for him to open this noble verse in this way. Because Satan, Satan is unaware of the creation of man.
Unaware of the creation of man. Unaware of what? Because Satan was also unaware that he was created from the light of the Messenger of Allah, he grew proud and said: shall I prostrate to Adam, who was created from mud? Whereas, since the spirit given to him was a part from our Lord, prostrating to Adam was prostrating to Allah; he could not know that. That is why Satan has no knowledge at all of these places.
Because these people, with their own prejudices or with that short knowledge, passing over briefly, with closed places, with wrong information, go outside some realms they imagine, this truth seems contrary to them. And because it seems contrary, they cannot accept it. It is normal. Everyone has a degree. He will use that degree. What did we say before? On this address "Alastu bi-Rabbikum" there is a hadith of the Messenger of Allah. Allah created the spirits in twilight. He scattered something of His light upon them. Whoever received of His light found his way. Whoever could not receive of His light lost his way. (?) This is the twilight.
All pairs are three classes. Fa ashabu'l-maymanati ma ashabu'l-maymanah: those of the right, and wa ashabu'l-mash'amati ma ashabu'l-mash'amah: those of the left, as it says; this third class, these three groups, the twilight; across, you see the one at the very front, and you also see the one at the very back, but they are not recognised. Sir, further in front, three prophets shoulder to shoulder have linked arms like this, that is, standing, embracing each other like this: Jesus, Moses, and the Messenger of Allah; beside Allah, the confirmation, before all people, when Allah Almighty said "I am your Lord", the confirmation "Yes, this is our Lord"; besides that, our Lord showed us these realms.
That is why we explain the verses to you with certainty. The meanings of the verses are this.
What does it say? At that moment Allah Almighty addresses them. I am your Lord. It says "Hitab-ı Zühre" (?). In a hadith: Allah created the spirits in twilight. He scattered something of His light upon them. Whoever received of it found his way. Whoever could not receive of it lost his way and went astray. In this hadith the Prophet, His Messenger, describes whose address, of the Lord. Every hadith, every hadith is the counterpart of the verses. Now Imam-ı Kadir says: whoever knows three hadiths is a scholar. He even says: whoever knows one hadith is a scholar.
Do you know what the meaning is? It is not carrying hadiths in your pocket. Nor is it reading hadiths and carrying them in your memory. By way of unveiling, our Lord will show you the meaning of the hadith, the counterpart of the verses, so that you become a scholar of hadith there. The person who comes to that realm is a scholar. You cleansed your heart of everything other than Allah. By giving that heart a clean cleaning, cleansing it of everything other than Allah, cleansing the building, after cleaning your building, your palace, you have made it ready to receive the guest. And that guest is the Lord of the worlds; Allah Almighty says: I (?) the worlds, I manifest in the heart of My servant.
Yes. Our Lord will show you the realm that is the counterpart of His verses, so that you can say: this is the hadith, this is the verse. He says the person who reaches this state is a scholar too. This is what they mean.
In this hadith, the Prophet describes the time of Alastu bi-Rabbikum: three groups of people, imagine, they are across, ahead, in rows; in this twilight, it is the twilight of the evening. People see the people in the front rows as well as the people in the very back rows. Only it is a twilight in which faces are not recognised. That is, a twilight in which people cannot be recognised by their faces. He scattered something of His light upon them. This is Allah Almighty's address, the address "I am your Lord". He scattered something of His light. Is the Quran not a light? What is it? The Quran is Allah's word.
This too is a word, this too is a light. He scattered something of His light. That is, He sent His words that would show us the truth. What was it? With His address, His word, His voice. I am your Lord. Yes. Some (?) say Allah Almighty fired a cannonball. Whoever it hit, let me say, became a Muslim. Filled up on all sides. Overflowing.
This (?) Allah Almighty's address. It is the address "I am your Lord". Whoever received of His light found his way. That is, whoever said yes, You are my Lord, found his way. (?) That is, those who said yes, who confirmed their Lord, found their way. Those who could not receive of His light went astray. That is, those who said yes with their mind, that is, said I was created by a Lord, said yes, and rebelled with their nafs. That is, those who saw their Lord before them and said "where does He come from", grew arrogant towards their Lord and rebelled against Allah. Out of their stubbornness they denied Allah.
In this way they lost their way and went astray. In a noble verse, Surah Al-Waqi'ah, verse 7. Let us write it in translation. Wa kuntum azwajan thalathah. All of mankind are three classes. Verse eight. Fa ashabu'l-maymanati ma ashabu'l-maymanah. O those of the right, how happy are those of the right. In the ninth noble verse: Wa ashabu'l-mash'amati ma ashabu'l-mash'amah. O those of the left, in what a bitter state are those of the left. Verse ten. Wa's-sabiquna's-sabiqun. Ula'ika'l-muqarrabun. And in the eleventh verse: those who went ahead are those who went ahead. These are those of the highest degrees, the group of the foremost.
Who are they? The saints, the friends of Allah, the martyrs, the company of witnesses. So people became three classes in the first barzakh. Again, in a noble verse: We divided you on earth into peoples so that you would quickly know each other. We told you all this briefly so that it would be understood very well. We said let us remind you here again so that it is understood better. Why the verse "peoples and peoples", so that (?) quickly. For example, the same persons, persons with the same mindset, get along very well with each other. There, the people who are three classes also split into groups according to their mindsets. For example an Englishman, an Italian, an Italian, a Frenchman, a Frenchman, a Germany, a German, cannot get along with an America.
They will always get along with people within their own character. So that life is shown to them as beautiful, so that they are attached to life, enjoy living. Sir, let me say, so that in this situation too he proves to himself what kind of person he is, people within such ideas, people close to their own ideas, were sent from among each other, so that life is not turned into darkness for him. Yes.
What does it say? We divided you on earth into peoples so that you would quickly know each other.
In this situation everything was written and laid out in the first barzakh. That is, all the realms were programmed. This. (?) The realm of this world is a place where the practice of this written program is carried out. That is, the script was written in the realm of the hereafter. As actors, people play this script, these characters of theirs, in the realm of this world.
Just as a seed brings out its own nature, that is, the seed falls into the soil, sprouts there, turns into a plant, and whatever kind it is, whatever kind of tree or (?), it shows itself, makes itself known, introduces itself; likewise the human, clothed in flesh and bone, when he comes to the realm of Mulk, by living what is in his nature, by living out what is in his nature, makes his surroundings and himself witnesses to what he is. In this situation no one can ascribe attributes to Allah Almighty.
What a beautiful law Allah Almighty has laid down. Today you plant a pear seed, it becomes a pear; you plant a lemon, a lemon; an orange, an orange; a tangerine, a tangerine; that is, the seeds of all plants yield their own kind. Our essence, our spirit, in the realm of the hereafter, when it made the covenant with our Lord, our wishes and desires, our aims became our destiny. In the realm of this world, clothed in flesh and bone, our spirit this destiny of ours within flesh and bone (?). Bodies are flesh and bone. Bodies. We say these are like a car. A car from the factory. When that car comes under a person, the person uses it. The car breaks down.
That is the person's illness. The car hits a wall. Who hit it? The person hit it. You throw the car off a cliff. Who threw it? The person (?) off the cliff. (?) He drives the car on a straight road. Who did this? The driver inside did. The driver inside uses this body as he wishes. This is also what being created upon the nature of Islam is. It is the body obeying the spirit completely. Otherwise, creation is like that. Upon the nature of Islam. If the body had not obeyed the spirit, the spirit would ascribe attributes to Allah Almighty and say: I tried to bring my body to the true path, to Your path, but it rebelled against me. Now pay attention. All the verses address the human spirit.
But people do not know this. They think it addresses this flesh and bone they see. And after this flesh and bone dies, and it is the flesh and bone that will die, not the spirits, but they ask: after death, is there really resurrection? Where did you come from? And this flesh and bone, what is this body? Who drives it? Who uses it? And if you knew that driver, you would not concern yourself with the body. Because the body will leave you, and you will understand that the real one addressed by Allah Almighty is your spirit. The verses are explicit; when the spirits are paired, since they are exactly matched and similar to the body, when you come into My presence with a driver and that body bears witness for us, there will be the second death of those bodies there.
Those bodies also have an address to the spirit. (?) If people could reinforce these with verses, they would not give these bodies any value. Value for the bodies is protecting this body that our Lord entrusted to us, this body, in the best way. If I protect my health, I can worship well within this body and live a comfortable life. If I protect this body, given within my Lord's command, from cigarettes, alcohol, stress, gambling, drink, adultery, bad things, I live in peace. No one can find fault with you. And you live honourably too. You live honourably. If you are free of cheating people, of the forbidden, of lies.
So see how beautiful the religion of Islam is, and how well I protect the body. I protect the body. I tell you, I am 72 years old. I have no diabetes, no blood pressure, no heart trouble, no cholesterol, no illness at all. I am just like the fittest young person. Why? My Lord gave me a stomach ache at one time. I dieted for 48 years. 48 years. I ate only meat and fish. So as not to forget the taste of other vegetables and fruits, I would touch them with my tongue. And I spent all my days fasting. Fasting. I both reformed my nafs and worshipped my Lord well. And it seems my nafs was (?), so Allah Almighty me from that stomach (?) (?).
48 years. Then they found its medicine. After I took that medicine my stomach got better. That is why even the affliction Allah Almighty gives a person, (?), even that is a mercy for the person. Yes. As I said a moment ago, if a person keeps away from stress, drink, gambling, adultery, cigarettes, sir, eating the forbidden, cheating this one and that, and from sorrow, he keeps his body fit. He has protected this trust. That is why Allah Almighty has made known to you in the rulings of the Sharia how to protect these trusts well. On top of that, He has you worship. In fact that worship is to protect your body.
The form of the prayer completely melts this belly fat, the groin fat, gets you moving, protects you from calcification. (?) prevents heart disease. It prevents heart trouble. That is, even your worship is to protect this trust given to you. If you do these, then according to the word that He will call you to account for which way you used the trust given to you, you will be at ease. My Lord, I did what You said. I continued on Your Sharia ruling. Here, this was Your trust. So that there would be no complaint about me regarding Your trust, I took all the care I could. But if within this, being human, I erred and made a mistake, if I (?) Your trust, forgive me that too, my Allah, (?).
And those small things, my Lord already knows what you did. Sir, in this way you are also saved from (?).
So, by using this body people actually bring out their own nature and prove what kind of person they are. We are going to give you a few examples of the wrongly interpreted verses of the Holy Quran, we had said. One of them is the "Man yasha'" noble verses, Allah's willing. These verses too have been wrongly interpreted and have ascribed attributes to Allah. For example: it is not "I guide whom I will". This is wrong. "Whoever wills", not "whom He wills". If it were "whom He wills", Allah Almighty over man, Allah Almighty there (?), He would never have made a covenant with us. "Whom He wills", the covenant then ascribes attributes to Allah.
If this were "whom He wills", then the verses would contradict each other.
Sir, "I have mercy on whom I will". Verses like these. Interpreting these in this way also ascribes attributes to Allah. Because all created people are Allah's servants. Allah does not discriminate among His servants. Even in His noble verse, to those polytheists, those idolaters, those who deny Him, He says: We shared out the earth equally among you. There is no "you are a disbeliever, go to the worst place in the world", "you are a Muslim, live in the most beautiful place in the world". He says: We shared out your world equally among you. Yes. Allah Almighty in this noble verse: what you earn is the return of your two hands.
How beautifully He says it. So where is "whom He wills"? What you earn is the return of your two hands. Again in a noble verse: We do not intend injustice to the worlds. You wrong your own selves. Even in a noble verse He says: I will record every atom's weight of good you have done. And I will record every atom's weight of evil you have done. In this situation, where is Allah Almighty's willing over us? See how meaningful it is. Persons who, sincerely and without knowledge, attach every thing to Allah have become unable to stand on their own feet. They have faith too. Allah does it, Allah makes it, Allah does it like this, Allah does it like that. Sir, in this way, out of their fear, they protect their faith.
But knowledge is very honourable. What does Allah Almighty say? Only those who know Me love Me. Those who know Me love Me most. Only those who know Me fear Me. And He says: those who know Me fear Me most. So if you know Allah through knowledge, of course you will fear greatly. What will you say then? Hajji Efendi, look, you know your Lord. Do not do anything crooked. If you do something crooked, your Lord will call you to account. You know this. And what does the other one do? Allah does this to me, Allah does that to me. Sir, he is afraid of that. But what does the other one say? With another matter.
Everything is in my own will. Every word you will say, every word that comes out of your mouth, the deeds you do, in every act of yours you are responsible. He tells you. You know this. So when you raise your hand, you stop like this. What will the end be, I wonder? Sir, while speaking, where does a word that comes out of your mouth go, I wonder? You will give account of this there. You will give account of every word you speak. Sir, at random. You will not speak idle chatter. If you tell people something, you will tell it if you know it. If there is something you do not know and you tell it to people as if you knew, you will mislead people.
Then you are responsible for it, you become liable.
People are responsible for each other. Because of the dealings they have with each other. In this respect one must be very careful, and while speaking one must not go outside the verses. So one, outwardly, from seeing it from mother and father, is afraid like that; he knows that much of what to do; the other knows at the real root what to do. Now of course there is a difference between the two. Yes.
Now according to these noble verses, the will of the human, whose free will is in his hands and who will be called to account for the deeds he himself did, is removed. Allah Almighty, ruling His own will over people, guides whom He wills. And makes whom He wills do what He wills. Well, if He is Allah, who creates what He created as He wills, and if no one can undo what He created, what He created, and if the created are what Allah created, will these created ones not ask Allah Almighty: O my Allah, You created me too. Why did You create me deserving of punishment, will they not say? They will. They will. If He guides whom He wills, if He brings whom He wills to the right path, sir, they will say: "whom He wills", bring me too, my Allah, they will say. Bring me too. To the right path.
If he is Your servant, I am Your servant too. So You do not wrong souls; take it that these verses contradict those verses. That is, these interpretations, let us not say verses, these interpretations contradict those verses. What you earn is your own return. As I opened above. Sir: We do not intend injustice to the worlds. Every soul wrongs itself. It contradicts the noble verses. May Allah protect us. I have been saying it for a while now. These structures built on wrong foundations, they too, towards their Lord, sincerely, (?), He does what He wills. He does it like this to whom He wills. Or, by interpretation again, by interpretation, yes, if you do good, Allah rewards you.
This time it is interpretation. It is right again. The interpretation is right. If you do (?), He punishes you. But he says it like this from the light of faith in his heart. The meaning, whereas the real meaning here: "He brings whom He wills to the right path, He lets whom He wills go astray"; when someone else reads these meanings, he says: can Allah be like this? We meet such people too. He says: I have no such Allah. He says: my Allah is not like that. He says: my Allah is the Owner of justice. We meet such people. Today too I came out of the mosque at noon. Right across the street someone had a book in his hand and also a CD, he says, what did he say, let me see, he said: we are selling the book of intercession.
We are selling intercession. Sir, he gives you a book. He was selling intercession. And a CD. I turned to the man and said: (?) What intercession are you talking about, I said. My intercession is my worship. If I do not worship, even the master of both worlds, Muhammad (peace be upon him), will not intercede for me, I said. If I leave the religion of Islam, that blessed Prophet (peace be upon him) (?) that Allah Almighty has left alone, he said. That He has left alone, I said. Would he intercede? My worship is my intercession, I said. (?), I said to him. People have come to this state. He is selling a book of intercession, intercession.
Those who do not know will of course gladly buy the book of intercession. But when we say intercession, the Prophet comes to our mind at once. He will buy it thinking it is his book. And that one will exploit that conscience; he is selling a book of intercession. Thinking: it will intercede for me, let me buy it. Your intercession, your worship, the deeds you will do; if you knew these, would you ever fall for these (?)?
Yes. People keep going on. Where they are going is not clear.
Now according to these noble verses, free will, the free will, being taken from people's hands, sir, the free will being in the human's hands, the will of the human, who will be called to account for the deeds he himself did, is removed. Allah Almighty, ruling His own will over people, guides whom He wills. Whom He wills, whom He wills, if He makes them do what He wills, well, in that case, if He is Allah, who creates what He created as He wills, and if no one can undo what He created, and the created ones are Allah's, Allah's creations, will these created ones not ask Allah Almighty: O Allah, You created me too, why did You create me deserving of punishment, will they not say? Of course they will say so.
They will say so. This is how Allah is given attributes.
Whereas no one can ascribe attributes to Allah. People who say "I have knowledge", people who say (?), because of the structure they built on these wrongly interpreted verses, these people have come to this state today. That is, they have come undone, scattered. There is no fear of Allah left. Religion, faith, book: the people have none. A speck in the heart. One word. He says: I am a Muslim, praise be to Allah. Fine. But prove it. Prove it. If the verses are wrongly interpreted in this way, then anyhow Allah will (?) His mercy and guide whom He wills. You look at my heart. He will bring me to His mercy according to my heart, he says. With such words people of course go astray.
If he knew that everyone will be called to account for what he did.
Surah Al-A'raf, verse 179, a noble verse. One of the wrongly interpreted verses. What does it say here now? In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Wa laqad dhara'na li-jahannama kathiran mina'l-jinni wa'l-ins. By oath, We created many of the jinn and mankind for Hell, it says here now. Again it removes people's will. As if Allah Almighty, for His own pleasure, would take pleasure in people suffering punishment in Hell; you know, there was that cruel Nero of the Italians, the cruel Nero. Sir, those who threw people to lions and tigers and took pleasure, who made people fight each other with gladiators and took pleasure in their death, they speak likening Allah to him.
What does it say here now? By oath, We created many of the jinn and mankind for Hell, it says. Look, look. See how they ascribe attributes to Allah. I am not the one saying it. Open all the books, it is like this. We are correcting these. What do we say here? By oath, Hell was created for many of mankind and the jinn. That is, it was created for those who commit crimes. Well, what is there here, Hodja? We know this too anyway. Do not say that. Why not say it? Because the verse is wrong. Look at the verse, how the verse was interpreted. By oath, We created many of the jinn and mankind for Hell. You have ascribed attributes to Allah.
But the meaning of the verse: Hell was created for many of mankind and the jinn. Why? They will wrong their own selves. They will eat the forbidden, commit adultery. They will live outside the religion of Islam. Or they will deny Islam. Of course, just as in the laws of a state, if you rebel against the laws of that state and revolt, (?), if it is accepted, they put you in prison at once. Well, were today's prisons created for everyone?
Interpreting this noble verse in this way ascribes attributes to Allah. Has it been interpreted? (?) It contradicts the verses. Its translation: by oath, Hell was created for many of mankind and the jinn. Now we say: look, we have no Arabic. I say that. I do not know Arabic.
I have no outward knowledge either. I have no memorisation either. I have not memorised the Quran. Well, Hodja, where do you know these from? From the side that people's minds cannot take in. Our Lord personally trained us inwardly, by showing us the counterpart of some verses of the Holy Quran and by inspiration. Now some say: if you had received inspiration, you would not fall into pride and arrogance. They say to me: is knowledge only with you? They write like this. What can I say to this person now? I no longer answer. I do not answer. We never go near pride, arrogance, egoism. Because this is the trait of Satan.
If my (?) of explaining is somewhat fierce, then me out of pride and arrogance, no; but truly: Hodja Efendi explains this with fervour; what is the wisdom in his explaining it with fervour, ask that. If you ask that, I will tell you: my (?) is burning too. Because people who pass themselves off as scholars and, with superstitions, with false words, ascribe attributes to Allah and have built on that, still do not come to the truth although they hear it; it is not anger at them inside. There is his own (?) so that they too come to the right path. That is all. On the earth I have no enmity towards anyone.
Because I have forgotten enmity. I have forgotten lying. I have forgotten violence. I speak the truth.
If there is something on my mind, I do it, I finish it. I leave nothing in my head that would occupy my mind. I do it, finish it. I always remember my Lord. I always think of Him, reflect.
But if a person who does not know me judges us like this with prejudice over one or two words of mine, and uses such words about us, we too say: again he does this out of ignorance, because he does not know. Up to now we have forgiven everyone our rights. We forgive him too. But if people have rights over me, let them take them. Let them take them. I am human too. Maybe I make small mistakes. But I do not do them knowingly. So since I do not do them knowingly, since deeds depend on intention, my Lord will even give me a reward for that mistake I made unknowingly. Because my intention is sincere.
Yes.
So Allah Almighty has shown His paths. He has left mankind and the jinn free in their own will. He created Paradise and Hell according to the good deeds and the evil deeds people will do. And Allah Almighty, as the Judge of judges, will decide between them. Between them, between those people. Surely He will not (?) with His Paradise the one who does evil, who rebels against Him and denies Him. So what is this? Let it be explained that Hell was created for many of mankind and the jinn. Why? Of course, if you deny Allah, do what He said not to do, go outside His command, of course you will be punished.
And the place of your punishment is Hell.
Here we said we listed a few of the wrongly interpreted verses. As their turn comes, the wrongly interpreted noble verses will be corrected in translation, and we have corrected them. There are 270-odd wrongly interpreted verses. And, if Allah wills, we will upload that too. Just as we uploaded them both to the computer and to the website, we will also bring out its book, if Allah wills. Allah, if we sell some of our books and money comes into our hands, we will have that printed too. And their explanation in translation will also be opened to you. Now, after this much information has been given to you here, let us open the meaning of "you were a single community" and continue with the noble verse.
We have learned quite a lot now. From the information I explained above it is understood that Allah Almighty, who willed His essence to be known as the aim of a single community, created the spirits He created in the realm of Lahut all equal, created them equal by giving them life at once. Without doing anyone an injustice, by giving them life at once, His saying to them "I am your Lord", the spirits knowing their Lord, those who use their mind saying yes, while the mind knows their Lord, those who do not follow their mind but follow their nafs saying no; when they became recipients of the address Alastu bi-Rabbikum, their splitting apart is this.
Thus it touches on the secret. Yes, we will come to that. It touches on that. Now, if Allah Almighty had wished, by His own willing He would have programmed these and created them as a single community, so that no created being would go against Allah's will. They too would have been created as a single community. Allah made a covenant with each spirit one by one so that they would not say: we knew nothing of this. Again, what does it say in a noble verse? Surah Al-A'raf, verse 173. Or: our forefathers associated partners with Allah before. And we were a generation that came after them. We followed in their footsteps. Will You destroy us because of those who did falsehood?
He says: We did this so that you would not say that. That is, earlier We made a covenant with you, with your real selves, and those aims of yours became your destiny. And the realm of this world is a shadow and likeness of the hereafter. How beautifully it says it: a shadow and likeness. Whatever you are there, you are that here too. Let him not say there: I saw my forefather here; there you had neither a forefather nor a grandfather. There all of us, as a single community, made a covenant with Allah Almighty one by one. Your own aim became your destiny. See how beautifully it says it. We found our forefathers on this path.
Now, so that you would not say "will You call us to account for the mistakes they made", We did this. What did We do? There you had neither a grandfather nor a father. All of you were beings created one by one. We made a covenant with you one by one and wrote your wishes and desires, your aim, for you as destiny. How beautiful. It has no deficient side at all. How beautifully Allah Almighty has programmed it. He is free of deficient attributes. Allah Almighty. Free of deficient attributes. Yes. See how beautifully the verses connect to one another. Do you see? No verse contradicts any verse. That is, they do not refute each other.
Pay attention to what we say; since they are verses, you cannot see one verse contradicting another verse. This is a knowledge my Lord gave me, and His grace, His wisdom.
We made a covenant with people, with people, before they came to the realm of Mulk, in the realm of Lahut, so that they would not say: we knew nothing of this, we found our forefathers on this path; and so that no side would be left to them to blame Allah Almighty, We did this. That is, We made a covenant with them in the first barzakh. And we explained this part to you once more, as a repetition. So that the people He created close to His essence would not say: if You had sent me to a realm where Your essence is not seen, see how I would have worshipped You; Surah Al-Mulk, verse 2: to test you as to which of you is better in deeds, that is, so that you prove what kind of person you are, it is He who created both death and life.
He is the Almighty, the Forgiving. According to this noble verse, for this reason We sent you to the realm of Mulk, which is an unseen realm, He says. Let us open this part a little more. We know your characters. Well, now if I stood before you and said, well, I say, I am the qutb of the age, I say, I am the imam of the age. Well, would a person believe me? How would he believe? He would see something and believe, or believe the words that come out of my mouth. Someone who has never seen me, if someone else said that man was a qutb, he would believe. Or again, within his own destiny, he does whatever he thinks.
So when He showed His essence, when He said "I am your Lord", that person says: how do I know You are my Lord? How do I know? He waits for the Lord of his imagination. He himself knows that he was created. Allah Almighty is free of this too. So that there is no deficiency here either, He sends the human to the Mulk, an unseen realm. A realm where His essence is not seen. There He makes His command known. Come on now, He says. Look, you know you were created. That Lord by whom you were created addresses you. Now obey this, He says. But whatever his nature is, (?), whatever his aim there was, that was written for him as destiny, that script has become his character, in that spirit.
Whatever those characters are, when the time comes, our Lord who creates the causes, through the (?) deeds of those characters, that person, doing those deeds, becomes a witness against himself with the matter of his reward and sin. Yes.
That is, We made a covenant with them in the first barzakh. So that the people He created close to His essence would not say: You were going to send me to a realm where Your essence is not seen; see how I would have worshipped You; Surah Al-Mulk, verse 2: to test you as to which of you is better in deeds, that is, to make you witnesses to yourselves, Surah Al-Mulk, verse 2, to test you, it is He who created both death and life. He is the Almighty, the Forgiving. For this reason We sent you to the realm of Mulk, an unseen realm, says Allah Almighty. As understood from all these verses, all matters were finished in the first barzakh, destinies were written, and people cannot escape their destinies.
And they are not going to flee from their destinies anyway. Because they wanted their aims, and Allah who creates gave them their wishes as destiny. So all people were created in the realm of Lahut. While making the covenant with Allah Almighty, they split apart.
The first meaning, the outward meaning, is actually this. It is so. (?) But it has a deeper side. Then, when the same events are played out in the realm of Mulk, Allah sent His prophets as bringers of good news and as warners. Allah, who sent people to an unseen realm, here too, so that people would not say: if only He had sent me a prophet or a book that would make His essence known to me, Allah Almighty out of His mercy sent the prophets and the books, so that His divine essence would be addressed and worshipped. That is, we came to an unseen realm, but he will ask here too. O Lord, look, You sent me.
How shall I know You? Yes, I know I was created, but I know neither my way nor the manner; make known to me the truth, and the forms of worship to You make known to me too. Look, He sends the books from the prophets. How beautifully Allah Almighty has programmed everything from the start, laid down its principle. He is free of deficient attributes. The prophets, by making Allah known to people, invite people to obey Allah. Allah Almighty says: give those who follow them the good news of Paradise.
Those who do not follow Allah and His Messenger, those who do not follow, warn them and frighten them with Hell, He says. That is, warn those who do not follow Allah, the book, the prophets. (?) the truth to them and frightens them with Hell. When people found it hard to judge among themselves, Allah sent them books that would show the right path. But after the book came to them, because of the ambition among them, that is, those who split apart, people whose own feelings were written for them as destiny in the realm of the hereafter, because of their pride and grandeur fell into separation and dispute among themselves.
From here let us go back a little.
Yes, thereupon Allah, to those who believe, Allah, to those who believe, showed by Allah's leave the truth they disputed. With what? With the books. Whoever asks Allah for guidance, Allah, to him, Allah leads him to the right path. Whoever wishes guidance from Allah, He leads to the right path. If, in the Quran, the verses: here you are, take it. Go, He says to him.
Let us correct this part too. If we say "Allah shows him the right path", it would be even better. Here. It would be even better. Shows. Yes. With what does He show?
He shows the right path. With what will He show the right path? With the books. He shows them the right path. I have tried to explain this noble verse to you. Here you can observe this. Some people, without compulsion being used and without being threatened, believe in Allah. No one can turn him away from his faith. And look, some people, being in doubt about whether there is no other world besides this world, whether there will be resurrection after death or not, carrying on with their lives as if there were no Allah, putting Allah's laws aside and living by their nafs, there are also people of disbelief.
No one compelled or threatened them either, saying you will live like this. Some people are upon faith, and some people are upon disbelief. So whatever is in each person's leaven, however the nature was written, those paths were made easy for him. Within their own lives they will make themselves witnesses before Allah. We said that later the verses touching on these matters will be explained in more detail. With one noble verse we have, let me say, more or less filled this time of ours. Now, at the start I told you, there is a secret here, I will tell you its root, I said. Yes.
What was it?
Mankind was a single community. Then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good news and as warners. Up to here we said: the real secret is here, the meaning is this. Now earlier we told you: Allah Almighty was an unknown treasure, He willed to be known. He was going to create such a being that that being, that being, by its own will, would know its Lord. For this to be created, He created a light from Himself. Then He gave it of His spirit. Who is this? Muhammad (peace be upon him). A single community. Then, willing that people would be created, were created, be created, Allah Almighty, from the spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him), created the spirits of the prophets.
And from the spirits of the prophets He created the spirits of the peoples. In this way, at the root, all people are in a single community. From where? From the Prophet. That spirit which was created is a single community in the Messenger of Allah. After that, people split apart. The spirits created from him split apart. The real root proves this too. That is: We gave you of Our spirit. He, you, the worlds, for his sake that master of both worlds for whom I created them, and "if not for you I would not have created the worlds", He created His Beloved, of whom He said this. For this reason He sent him, wa ma arsalnaka illa rahmatan li'l-'alamin, as a mercy to the worlds.
All of you, from the atom to the globe, from His light and His spirit, all beings were created from him. In this case, let us leave aside His light; those created from His spirit, those prophets, then the peoples of those prophets, and the prophets are an exception; why an exception? The first created. The first created from his spirit. That is, the first created from the spirit of the Prophet. They are covenants to our Lord. I will send you to your community. Do you accept these? So He made a covenant with the prophets too, one by one, when they were first created. All the prophets gave their word that they would serve as prophets to that community, that is, that they would act in unity.
In this case they are (?). (?) In this case, since the communities, that is, people, were created in their spirits too, at the root all people anyway, through the Messenger, when we say all people were created from the spirit of the Messenger of Allah, then all people were a single community. Then they split apart as human beings. They were created, you see, and then they split apart in terms of thought.
At the root, it comes to this.
