Translation

At one time, a Book came to them from Allah to verify what they had with them, although before the Book came, they were asking for aid from the idolaters. And when that which they knew (The Quran) came to them, they denied it. From then on, the curse of Allah may be upon those infidels.

Tafsir

When the Holy Qur'an came, confirming the Torah which the Jews had in their possession, they denied the Qur'an. However, they knew that a prophet would come before. Allah had announced the coming of a prophet in the Torah which He had sent. The Jews were looking forward to the coming prophet. The reason for their waiting for the Prophet was that when they were in a difficult situation in their struggle with the Arab polytheists, they would pray to Allah for the Prophet to come as soon as possible.

When the Prophet came from the Arabs, they unanimously denied the Prophet and the Book. They do not believe in anything that does not suit them, because this trait is in their nature. Since Allah (swt) would not send another prophet and book, He gathered the whole book in the Qur'an and sent the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the Servant of two worlds, as a mercy to all the worlds, to end the prophethood. He also sent the Holy Qur'an to all mankind as a leader, a light and a proof, a light in front of people as a leader who will complete his rule with Sharia laws until the Day of Judgment. Allah (swt) has made it clear with His Verses that all people should be subject to the Holy Qur'an which He has sent.

Whoever deliberately and knowingly denies a single verse of the Holy Qur'an, or whoever denies Allah (swt), or whoever accepts all of them, but denies the Prophet of the End Times, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.), such people are infidels. Therefore, to those who have disbelief in their hearts, to those who are enemies of Allah or the Prophet, to those who do not recognize the Book that has been sent, Allah (swt) responds with this verse: "May the curse of Allah be upon those disbelievers".

May Allah (swt) protect us from such a situation. With this verse, our Lord is talking about a curse; this curse is such a torment that it includes every kind of torment and torment that comes to mind. Inshallah, there is no mistake in the metaphor. Let's say a person has a toothache, but he also has a pain somewhere else, he can tolerate it as much as he can tolerate it. Next to that, he has a severe headache, next to that he has a severe abdominal pain. Then there is heart pain, unbearable pain, and then there is the torment of being brought close to a blazing fire so that their skin is scorched, and so many other torments all at once, and how can one endure it if they are tormented for eternity under these torments? This is a curse. There is no salvation and no friend. This is unbearable suffering. In this case, our Lord informs us in one of His Verses that when they see the torment there, they will say, "Where are you?" But there is neither death nor salvation ever again.

O human! Two worlds together cannot do what your own soul has done to you. Allah (swt) says, "Don't you ever use your intellect" or in another verse, "Don't you ever contemplate". Don't you ever think about the realms beyond death, don't you ever think about the Court-i Kübra. I know that you think about those places, but you cannot get rid of the desires of your nafs. When a person has the darkness of disbelief in his heart, the ways of rebelling against Allah are tolerated. May Allah keep us on the right path.

What is said in the video

When there came to them from Allah a Book confirming what was with them — whereas before the Book came they used to pray for help against those polytheists. Who are these? The Jews.

From whom were they asking for help? From the Quraysh. Yet when what they knew came to them, they denied it. So may Allah's curse be upon those disbelievers, it says.

May Allah protect us from verses like these.

When the Holy Quran came, confirming the Torah in the Jews' hands, they denied the Holy Quran. Why did they deny it? These are people who, (?) as far as they could, are used to living out their own whims. (?)

They see themselves as close to Allah. They call themselves Allah's sons. God forbid, Allah protect us. They ascribe attributes to Allah. They say: the punishment of hell will not touch us for more than three days. Whereas Allah Almighty says: if there is such a thing, do they have proof of it in their hands? So, because the prophet did not come from among them, since among them, seeing themselves as great and seeing themselves as superior, above other people, they said: how can a prophet come from the tribe of Quraysh? So they supposedly looked down on Quraysh and did not follow him. If they had used their reason — the Quraysh they spoke of, and the prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him) who came from there: he is the forefather of their forefathers, their forefathers, and their forefathers' forefather.

Because all prophets were created from his spirit. So, with such ignorant attitudes, the Holy Quran of the Prophet — when to the Prophet the Holy Quran came, because he was of the tribe of Quraysh, they turned their backs on it. Whereas they knew beforehand that a prophet would come. How did they know?

Allah Almighty always sent prophets to the earth at intervals never longer than two hundred years. Four hundred years had passed in between, four hundred years. No prophet had come. They knew very well that a prophet would come, and the Jews were afraid that the Last Day might be about to break.

And then the prophet who was to come came. He came, but with their selfish feelings they made gods of themselves; they turned their backs on Allah. Whereas they knew beforehand that a prophet would come. Allah Almighty had announced in the Torah He sent that a prophet would come. And the Jews were eagerly awaiting the prophet who was to come. The reason they awaited that prophet so was that in their struggles with the Arab polytheists, when they got into difficulty, they would pray to Allah and wish for the prophet to come as soon as possible.

When the prophet came from the Arabs, they all agreed among themselves and denied the prophet and the Book. That is, they denied the Holy Quran. In agreement. And, since a prophet was to come, this time they also changed the Torah.

Anyway, yes, anyway, since these traits of theirs are in their very nature, they believe in nothing that does not suit them. It has to suit them. So what does suiting them mean? It means bringing worldly gain. They accept nothing that brings no worldly gain, no benefit to themselves. Since Allah Almighty showed them the truth, since with the nafs one cannot be with the truth, since only if you reform the nafs will you turn to the truth, and since they are with the nafs and do not turn to the truth, they will never do what Allah says.

Proven, that is, with verses. Yes.

Since Allah Almighty would send no further prophet or book, gathering all the books in the Quran, as a mercy to all the worlds, the master of both worlds, Khatam an-Nabiyyin, Muhammad (peace be upon him), He sent as the one who brings prophethood to an end. Then what does it say? Khatam an-Nabiyyin. No more prophets. That is, the last seal of prophethood. Khatam: seal, the end. And to all people He sent the Holy Quran, which until the Last Day will complete its rule with sharia rulings, as a leader, a (?) and a proof, as a light before people. To the Holy Quran. If the Prophet (peace be upon him) came as a mercy to the worlds, and the Holy Quran too came to the worlds, then if people make distinctions among themselves and turn their backs on Allah — if one says: by the Torah You sent me before, I will be judged; I do not accept this —

and Allah Almighty, without injustice among the servants He created, says: the law for your Torah, your Gospel and your Psalms too, and for the people to come until the Last Day, is now this, it is the Quran — if Allah Almighty judges among His servants with His unerring justice, and you step outside this justice, then of course you wrong your own soul. You will have opposed Allah. Allah never abandons justice. Nor does He act unjustly among His servants.

Yes.

What does it say here? And to all people He sent the Holy Quran, which until the Last Day, with sharia rulings, will complete its rule, as a leader, a (?), a proof, as a light before people. That all people should follow the Holy Quran He sent, Allah Almighty has made known in His verses.

Just as to the Prophet (peace be upon him), in Surah Al Imran, verse 179: when you decide, it says, do not go back — if He says this, does Allah decide and then go back on it?

Is that possible?

Then there would be words in it contradicting each other. Who is more true to his word than Allah? According to the verse. If Allah Almighty were unjust among His servants while telling us: spread truth and justice on earth — then if one said, well, you (?) me but do not do it yourself, would a person not (?) Allah? That is why people cannot look for fault in Allah. The fault lies in people themselves. Yes.

Whoever deliberately and knowingly denies a single verse of the Holy Quran, or whoever denies Allah Almighty, or, even accepting all of it, the prophet of the end times, Muhammad (peace be upon him), denies — such people become disbelievers.

Hence those with unbelief in their hearts, those hostile to Allah and the Prophet, people who do not recognise the Book sent down — Allah Almighty answers them with His glorious verse. May Allah's curse be upon those disbelievers, He declares. Allah protect us. Allah protect us. Yes.

I say: O people, being deceived by this passing world and turning your back on Allah — is that not your wronging your own soul? While you cannot bear the slightest pain in this world, in that endless, eternal life, in that realm of hell where there is no death, how will you endure that punishment?

On your behalf, when I feel that pain you would feel, I beg Allah Almighty like this: My Lord, if they are to be reformed, reform them too. Reform them too. Once they are reformed, my Lord, show them the truth. Let them know the truth and be Your servants. Yes.

May Allah Almighty protect us all in such a situation. With this verse our Lord speaks of the curse. This curse is such a punishment that every torment and suffering imaginable is in it. Of the curse. No offence in the comparison, insha'Allah. Let's say a person has a toothache. Besides this, he has a pain somewhere else. He can bear it as far as he can bear it. On top of that, a severe headache. On top of that, there is a severe stomach ache. After that, a pain in the heart has seized him. An unbearable pain. Besides this, a punishment of being brought close to a blazing fire until his skin is about to be scorched.

If many more kinds of torment all appear in a person at once, and one writhes under these tortures forever, how can it be endured? If the curse is that, if these torments are in that curse, if everything we listed comes together on one person — Allah protect us — let's say my tooth aches, I can't bear it. On top of that a severe headache started, and on top of that a severe stomach ache, then there are kidney stones and their pain, after that a (?) pain, and as if that were not enough, he is brought close to a blazing fire. The skin is scorched like this. Which of them will you endure?

These are no joke. What does Allah Almighty say? Do not take Allah's verses as a joke, He says.

So these are no joke. These are the truth.

If people are human, if in them there is that spirit, a part from their Lord, if one is to be worthy of being human, he will think a little, use his reason.

He will fear Allah, obey Allah's Messenger, and be governed by Allah's verses.

This is a curse. It has neither an escape nor a friend. What does it say? In the hereafter they are all alone, it says. Allah will lift His attribute Rahim from them. For one Allah has not shown mercy, for whom He has not interceded, no created being can help or intercede.

So, unbearable agonies — in this case, in a glorious verse our Lord made known to us: when they see the punishment there, they will say: destruction, where are you? But there is no more death, nor escape. There they will cry out: O destruction, O annihilation, O death, where are you, they will say, where are you? But there is none anymore. Because you have left the body; spirit, nafs and life, you are together, and you are now immortal. You are now immortal.

O man! What your own nafs does to you, both worlds together could not do. So it is. Whatever I do, I do to myself. No one can do me harm. Whoever it is, what is the most he can do to me? He draws a gun and kills me. What have I done? In the hereafter, if my obedience is good, I have attained Allah's mercy. Or else, in return for his killing me, I take my due from him on the other side. But I, by (?) my own self to Allah, put it into such torment that not even death will save me anymore. Not even death will save me. What will we say? There we will say: destruction, death, where are you? But there is none anymore. So what a person does to himself, both worlds together could not do.

Allah Almighty says: Do you not use your reason? Or in another verse: Do you not reflect? Do you never think about the worlds beyond death? Do you never think about the Great Tribunal? I know that you too think about those places. But the thing is, you cannot free yourself from the whims of your nafs. If there is the darkness of unbelief in a person's heart, the ways of rebelling against Allah look pleasing to him. However much you then tell him the word of truth — Allah Almighty says this about them: When they hear the word of truth, out of rage and anger they come to the point where the clouds in the sky would split apart, He says.

That is how full of hatred and violence they are against Allah. People with these feelings and these characters, when on the Day of Judgement they are subjected to that punishment of hell, the more they see that punishment, the more their hatred of Allah Almighty will grow. As their hatred grows there, they will stay there forever.

May Allah not separate us from the right path, we said. We (?) verse 89 here too.
