Tafsir
When Allah completed the body of our father Adam, then He gave him his soul. He told the angels and the demon to prostrate to Adam. The angels prostrated, but Iblis was not among those who prostrated. He became proud and disobeyed the command of Allah (swt) and was one of those who were expelled from His presence and became an infidel.
Allah did not make Adam prostrate to the body without giving him his soul. If He had made the body prostrate without a soul, He would have made His creatures prostrate to beings other than Himself. However, since Allah alone is worthy of worship, after giving the body its soul, He told the angelic beings and the demon to prostrate to Adam. Prostration to Adam was prostration to Allah. If only he knew that when the angel prostrated to Adam, he was prostrating to Allah (swt).
But Satan's arrogance and pride led him to rebel against Allahu ta'âlâ and he thought that he could humble Allahu ta'âlâ by playing a game of logic. In this regard, he said, "You created me from Fire and Adam from mud, Fire cleanses mud, mud does not cleanse fire. He did not know what Allah's will was. With his simple mind and arrogance, he was expelled from the presence of the angel and became one of the disbelievers.
After Iblis was expelled from the presence of Allah (swt), he became an enemy to Adam and mankind. In this respect, Allah (swt) warns people with His verses by informing them what kind of temptations the devil, the enemy of human beings, will give to people to prevent them from the path of Allah (swt).
What is said in the video
to verse 34 of the Surah. Here again our Lord uses the words 'remember that'. Remember when We said to the angels, 'Prostrate before Adam,' and all the angels had prostrated. Only Iblis did not prostrate; he was arrogant and became one of the disbelievers. Look at the event, at Allah's knowledge and greatness. To whom does He say 'remember'? To the Prophet (peace be upon him). What does He say? We said to the angels and to Iblis, 'Prostrate before Adam.'
The prostration before Adam, the rebellion of the angels or rather of Iblis, the Prophet (peace be upon him) sees. But because Adam came into the world first, they think he was the first to be created. Look at the illogic here. Whereas the first created is the Prophet (peace be upon him), and what does He say? Remember, He says, when I said to the angels and to Iblis, 'Prostrate,' He says, the angels prostrated, but Iblis became one of those who disbelieved. So He lets the Prophet (peace be upon him) too see the prostration before Adam.
Yes. In this respect, the (?) and first of the created, the one from whose light the worlds, and indirectly from whose spirit people were created, is the Prophet (peace be upon him). No being was created before him, none earlier than him. What does it say? 'Allah first created me.' 'Allah first created the intellect.' 'Allah first created the pen,' it says. Yes. So his saying 'Allah first created me,' and then 'Allah first created the intellect' means first him, then his intellect, then the pen. Look how beautiful the order is. That is, writing, learning, that He would leave people free in their will. Yes.
When Allah Almighty completed the body of our father Adam, He then gave him of His spirit. He said to the noble angels and to Iblis, 'Prostrate before Adam.'
The angels prostrated. Because they are within the program. They cannot go outside the program. So the angels were obliged to prostrate. Why? I use the word 'obliged'. Pay close attention to every word I speak. Ask, that is. Why? The angels were obliged. If the angels had opposed Allah's command, Allah Almighty would have made a flaw in programming the angels. That's why they were obliged. But Iblis, the jinn, He left free in their own will. He gave them, too, reward and sin.
That's why Iblis did not prostrate.
The father of the jinn. But among the jinn there are lofty ones and low ones. Now one is programmed, the other free in its own will. Look at it. There are two beings here.
The angels, being programmed, were obliged to prostrate, and they prostrated. Iblis, being free in his own will, may prostrate or may not. And he doesn't. Because he is free in his will. The words 'does or doesn't': against Allah Almighty's command, or by carrying out His command, the accursed one would either be one of those who obey Allah's command? Or one of those who choose disbelief. But since he did not obey, he chose the path of disbelief.
Did our Lord not know this? He knew it very well. Why did He do it? Why did He make him deny this? He knows it, after all. He knows it. He will deny. We said that Allah Almighty prepared such a series of adventures, such a program, that He has everything, down to the finest detail, what would do what and how it would happen, programmed. If the accursed one had not been accursed, had not rebelled against Allah, Adam was in Paradise, and from Paradise he would not have left. And since Paradise is forbidden to the disbelievers, all of them would have proven themselves in Paradise. But Paradise is forbidden to the disbelievers, so for them a place outside Paradise was needed. Where? The world of mulk.
Allah Almighty prepared that place too. He prepared that too. And He even allows Iblis to enter Paradise. Because this is within the program.
In this case, through his deceiving Adam, Adam, because he too committed an offence against Allah's command, comes here. Allah Almighty puts everything in order and connects it. He doesn't just bring him and put him here directly. Everything through causes. This is a program. Everything is an event. They will do everything by their own wishes, and no one will be able to question Allah. It is a very great matter. This is a very great matter. Not every person's mind can easily grasp these things. Yes.
34. 34, yes. When Allah Almighty completed the body of our father Adam, He then gave him of His spirit.
He said to the noble angels and to Iblis, 'Prostrate before Adam.'
We explained up to here. Opened it up, that is. The angels prostrated, but Iblis was not among those who prostrated. He grew arrogant and puffed himself up, and because he opposed Allah Almighty's command, he became one of those driven from His presence, and became a disbeliever. We have probably explained this part. We listened. Allah Almighty did not have the body prostrated to before giving Adam of His spirit. If He had had them prostrate before a body without spirit, Allah Almighty would have had beings prostrate before man, other than His own Self. But since only Allah Almighty is worthy of worship, after giving the body its spirit He said to the noble angels and Iblis, 'Prostrate before Adam.' If only the accursed one had known that prostrating before Adam was prostrating to Allah Almighty, we say.
His arrogance, pride and vanity led the accursed one to rebellion against Allah Almighty, and playing a game of logic, he thought he would leave Allah Almighty powerless. So: 'You created me from fire, and Adam from clay.' 'Fire purifies clay, clay does not purify fire,' he said, and because he could not know what Allah Almighty's intentions were, bare reason and arrogance made the accursed one one of the disbelievers.
That's why, however much people may worship,
even if they never lift their foreheads, night and day, from prostration to the Most Merciful, as long as they cannot reform their nafs, they will get nowhere. As we always say, (?) a bucket with a hole: you fill it from above, and it empties from below, and you go. That is, you take your earnings, but then you spend them on your animal nafs and go. Your earnings. It is of no use. What does the Prophet say too? If the acts of worship you perform do not keep you from evil, they are a burden on you.
