When they die, people are returned to Allah, who is their truthful Lord. Be aware, judgment (on that day) belongs to Allah and Allah is the swiftest of those who take account.
Tafsir
(After death, people are turned over to Allah, their rightful Mawla). The meaning of people being turned over to Allah after death is that upon the death of the body, the souls are taken by the angel in charge and brought to the grave in the realm of Berzah, where they first came from and where they are waiting. They are not going anywhere from here.
(Behold, the judgment (on that day) is his alone). By saying, "Take heed," Allah (swt) is urging mankind to turn to Him and to think. That is to say: O mankind! Each one of you is responsible to Allah after your death. You are not in a position to run your business with your money, relatives and acquaintances as in the worldly life. O people! Come to your senses and remember the existence of Allah so that you may be judged by what Allah says in this world. Beware of the day when you will be in the presence of Allah (swt) in the Court of Judgment on a day when you will have no helper or intercessor. If you have served Allah by doing good deeds in this world, Allah will be your friend and your vicegerent on that Day of Reckoning. You will be among those who attain salvation. But if you have turned your back on Allah by doing evil deeds, you will be among those who have wasted your souls. There is no one to judge on that Day except Allah, the Owner of the Day of Reckoning. The judgment on that Day belongs to Allah alone.
(He is the swiftest of the reckoners.) Since everything is clear to Allah, man will not be able to lie when he is tried before Him, and the trial will not be postponed to a later date to gather evidence. The evidences are ready, and the people will be reckoned with instantly and sent to their rightful places.
What is said in the video
Verse 62 of Surah Al-An'am. After death, people are returned and handed over to Allah, their true Master. Yes.
Every soul shall taste death, and your return is to Me, says Allah Almighty. Your return is to Me. The subject I am about to explain,
because our people don't know these parts; let's not say our people, I mean those who think themselves scholars, because they don't know these parts I'm going to explain, are left amazed. Amazed. I'm going to explain it now anyway. After death, people are returned and handed over to Allah, their true Master, it says. Look, you are handed over to Allah. This is the verse. I'm not the one saying it. Allah says it. What does it say? After death, people are returned and handed over to Allah, their true Master. Who hands them over? The noble angels Munkar and Nakir come. They hand him over to Allah Almighty.
Where does he go? To the barzakh. Who takes him to that barzakh? Allah Almighty takes him. How do you know, Hodja? There is a verse. What is that verse? The child in a mother's womb, it says. Is it a girl or a boy? That, our Lord knows, it says. Our Lord knows what is in the wombs, it says. Girl or boy? Now they even know whether it's a girl or a boy. Allah knows what is in the wombs, it says. It does not say: just as the noble angels Munkar and Nakir bring, he took it from there and came. It does not say: Gabriel took it and carried it and handed it over. It does not say: another envoy took it and came.
What does it say? Allah knows what is in the wombs. So the One who takes that soul from the barzakh is Allah, and after death too, the One to whom it is handed over and who sends it to its place there is again Allah. Do people know about this? No. They had interpreted it. When it says Allah knows what is in the wombs: girl or boy? Today it is known if it's a girl, and known if it's a boy. As we kept explaining and explaining, they turned their words around. Yes. They will turn them around further, God willing. Because they turned them around, we don't feel happy, (?), or proud. We are here to teach anyway.
To teach. They will learn the verses well.
Let superstitions leave religion, for this person is one person. Alone he can do nothing. However much superstition I weed out, there needs to be a circle around. The Prophet too had his noble companions. Yes. That is why we will teach, so that they too will enlighten those around them with what they learned, so that a strength will come into being. Strength. Yes.
So after death, people are returned to Allah, their true Master, and handed over. Pay attention, the judgment is His alone. Where? At the Supreme Court. It was turned, wasn't it, to Me there this time. The judgment is His alone. Whereas what do we say? When it says the judgment belongs to Allah alone, no, I say the judgment is mine alone, while I live. With the judgment I make, with my partial free will, I will earn reward and sin. If my Lord had been sitting in judgment over me, I would be kept away from reward and sin, and since I would have done what our Lord ordered me, I would not be held responsible.
So you must know partial free will well. Partial free will upon people: you will understand it through the different verses on the difference between Allah's willing and people's willing. The prophets are Allah's willing. People's rewards and sins are people's willing. People entering Paradise and Hell is people's willing. If We had willed, We would have made you a single nation. That is Allah's willing. One must tell these apart.
By our Lord's will, the result of the word 'Be', the result of the word 'Be'. And, by people's will, with their mouths, with their desires, the result of their actual deeds. If we cannot tell these apart, we live a backward life within the religion of Islam, bound by superstitions like these. Within the religion of Islam. Yes.
So we will know willing well too, willing; and it says: pay attention, the judgment is His alone. Where? On that Day of Reckoning; it is written below anyway: and He is the swiftest of those who take account, it says; why? The swiftest of those who take account. Today I go before a judge. The judge says: bring a witness, bring witnesses, bring evidence, bring this, bring that, and round and round you go. Months, years, round and round. But Allah Almighty has no need to go round. With your Kiraman Katibin, with the rewards and sins written on the right and on the left, with your whole life coming before you like a video, with your book being read to you, your matter will be done at once.
That is the swiftest of those who take account.
After death, people are returned to Allah, their true Master, and handed over. The meaning of people being returned and handed over to Allah after death: with the death of the bodies, souls are taken by the angel on duty, and are brought to their grave in the realm of barzakh, the place they first came from and wait in, and handed over. From here they cannot leave for anywhere. Just as we could not leave that grave until we came here, when it goes back there, after going we cannot leave it either.
Pay attention, the judgment is His alone. It is Allah's. By saying pay attention, Allah Almighty urges people to turn to Him and to think. When it says attention, it means fixing people's minds on one point. In the army too they say attention. Attention. Who is coming? The commander is coming. They will look at the commander. To Allah alone it says pay attention. Attention. The attention here: the commander of commanders, the judge of judges, is Allah. Allah. Pay attention. Yes. After your death, each one of you is individually responsible to Allah. You are not in a position, as in worldly life, to manage your affairs with schemes, with your relatives, with your money, with people you know.
O man! Come to your senses. Think a little. Do not put the existence of Allah out of your mind, so that in the worldly realm you are governed by what Allah says. If you remove your mind from Allah's mind, if you set out to buy this item, no regard for Allah. How can I cheat the person in front of me? How can I get this cheaper with wordplay?
On the other side, that man, while selling it, thinks: how can I praise my goods? I'll sell it at (?) price. Well, what if there is regard for Allah? Ha. This has a set price. I am responsible to my Lord, he says. He charges a normal price for it. If the person in front of him needs it and is not in a position to buy it, he even gives it from his own as a gift.
Why, this is a Muslim. A Muslim gives the goods their worth.
And the person in front of him, when selling his goods, must value them at that worth. At that worth. I had told you about something that happened to Imam Ghazali once. Let me tell it again here, it fits. Imam Ghazali is a merchant, he trades. One day, while walking through the market, he sees a woman selling a carpet. Sister, what is the price of the carpet, he says. Three quarters, she says. Three quarter-gold coins. Sister, he says, your carpet is worth far more than three quarters. Go higher, he says. Well, give one gold, she says. Go on, higher. Give one and a half gold, she says. Go on, a bit higher, he says.
Give two gold, she says. When he says go a bit higher, the woman says: hey, you, a grown man. Aren't you ashamed, she says, to make fun of me? Sister, he says, I want this carpet of yours. I'll buy it. The woman, the woman's carpet turned out to be an antique. Since the woman knew nothing about carpets, she had set out to sell that carpet. And since Imam Ghazali understood carpets very well, he wants to pay the carpet's worth and buy it. Anyway, the woman says three gold. Go on, a bit higher. Three and a half gold. Go on, a bit higher. Four gold. Go on, a bit higher. Four and a half gold. When he says go on, a bit higher, the woman starts crying and wailing.
Her shouting draws the attention of the men around. They look and, good heavens, a woman keeps shouting at Imam Ghazali. They come over. Imam, what is the problem? Now the woman says: this man, she says, at his age, with that beard, I asked him for three quarter-gold coins, she says. I asked for three quarter-gold coins. Sir, for this carpet he told me: go higher, go higher. I went up. I went up to four and a half gold. And he still says go higher, she says. (?) already four and a half gold to that woman. Imam, aren't you ashamed, they said, to talk to this woman like this? Imam Ghazali says: (?) carpets?
(?) Put a value on the carpet in this woman's hand, he says. I will buy that carpet, he says.
The men put a value on it. Imam, they say, its value is six and a half gold. By Allah, I too valued it at six and a half gold, he says. If you had (?) seven, I would not have bought it, he says.
So, is Imam Ghazali an enemy of his own money? but there is something he is an enemy of. What? The nafs. Because he was an enemy of his nafs, he took his place in Allah's ranks. He did not do what his nafs said, but what his mind said.
Yes.
I don't know whether there is anyone in this age who would live this. But there is. If there weren't, this world would not stand. Allah Almighty keeps this world standing for the sake of the good. Yes.
O man, come to your senses. Do not put the existence of Allah out of your mind, so that in the worldly realm you are governed by what Allah says. Beware of that day, a day when you have no helper and no intercessor. At the Supreme Court you are in the presence of Allah Almighty. Yes. If you became a servant of Allah by doing good deeds in the world, on that Day of Reckoning, Allah becomes your friend and your guardian. If you did good deeds in the world.
You will be among those who attain salvation. That is the true salvation. Among those who attain victory. True victory is born. Other than Allah, the Owner of that Day of Reckoning, on that day there is no one who will give judgment. On that day the judgment belongs to Allah alone. This is the verse. On that day the judgment belongs to Allah alone. But they remove 'that day' from this and say the judgment belongs to Allah. No. If I do not judge, if you do not judge, if you do not do the actual deeds with that judgment, did you do it, or did Allah, who made you give that judgment, make you do it?
Then, when you commit a sin with these actual deeds through the judgment Allah gave you, would it suit Allah's justice to call you to account? Yes.
So when it says that day: on that day, which day? When the Hour comes. The heavens another heaven. When the earth is another earth, (?) at the Resurrection, in the realm of the hereafter, before the Supreme Court, the judgment of Allah Almighty, the judge of judges, prevails. On that day the judgment is His alone. He is the swiftest of those who take account. Of the one who takes account. Sari'ul-hisab. Yes. With the judgment belonging to Allah alone on that day, He is the swiftest of those who take account. Since everything is manifest to Allah Almighty, when a person is tried in His presence, he will not be able to lie, the court will not be postponed to later dates to gather evidence, the evidence is ready, and a person's account will be settled at once, and they will be sent to the places they deserve.
Yes.
So Allah Almighty says: you are all from one origin.
As Islam, we are brothers to one another.
Our ancestors say: a brother throws his brother, but holds him at the edge of the cliff. Allah Almighty shows us a better way than our ancestors. He says: Muslims are brothers to one another. Join the chain of Islam, that ring, so that you form a strength, He says. A strength.
If we scatter, if we scatter from Islam, our strength breaks down. So, as Islam, in order to be governed by Allah's verses, in order to form a strength, we need one another.
We can meet one another's needs only if we are governed by Allah's verses. otherwise, if we cannot be governed by Allah's verses, our nafs will ruin us. There are those two-legged taghuts too, and Satan circulates in man's bloodstream, and so we are ruined and gone. So my advice to you, as always: learn the verses well. Learn the verses very well. So that we strengthen one another. Let us not break the ring of that chain of Islam.
