Hud 88: He said; “Oh my people! What do you say if I am upon a clear proof from my Lord and if Allah has given to me a beautiful provision from Allah’s side? I don’t desire to act against you by doing the opposite of what I have made forbidden for you. I only desire to correct as much as my strength allows. But my success is only with Allah’s help. I only depend on Allah and I will return only to Allah.”

Tafsir
Hadrat Shu'ayb (peace be upon him) said to his people, "My people, what do you say if I have a clear proof (given to me by my Lord) and He has given me a good sustenance? The evidence in this verse is that it was informed to Hadrat Shu'ayb that his people would perish. Also, a good sustenance is the blessing of prophethood and the fact that he was the recipient of revelation. Hadrat Shu'ayb 'alaihis-salâm' said, "What do you say to this if I am in possession of these proofs and blessings? He said.
(I do not want to act contrary to what I have forbidden you) That is, O my people! Whatever I have forbidden to you is forbidden to my own soul. Because Allah does not make something forbidden for you and lawful for me. First of all, these things are practiced by the Prophets. Then the Prophets try to explain them to the people through their language. Otherwise, it is not my intention to forbid these things to you, but I will not forbid them myself.
(He said, "I only want to reform to the best of my ability. So when people make a covenant with Allah (swt), if their covenant with Allah (swt) is good, they hear the truth and repent to Allah (swt). They believe in Allah and the Hereafter. If they have made a bad covenant with Allah, there is no one but Allah who can change it to Allah. So, O my people! I am fulfilling my duty, and whether you are good or not, whether you obey or not, is within your own will. Nor do I have the power to dominate your will and turn you away from your path.
My success is only with the help of Allah. The people who will be reformed must believe in Allah and the Hereafter. Apart from these, I have no power over anyone. He said, "I rely on Him alone and to Him alone will I return.
Allah, who created the whole universe and all that exists, also created death and resurrection. The first time people are born from their mothers and die is in the realm of property. (All souls will taste death) means that people will die. (We will resurrect you twice and kill you twice) means that Allah (swt) will resurrect people for the second time in the Hereafter. (When you come to Me with a driver, We will silence your mouths, bind your feet, and make your hands speak), every body that is a driver will die there for the second time and become dust after bearing witness against our souls. It is our souls that do not die and remain.
Our souls were already created in the Hereafter before we came to the realm of property and were addressed to the word of Allah (swt). It is our souls that made a covenant with Allah (in Kalubala). Therefore, the Hereafter and the Day of Reckoning are also true. Again, all people will return to Allah.
What is said in the video
Surah Hud, verse 88: He said, O my people, if from my Lord I have a clear proof, and He has given me fair provision from Him, what do you say to that? it says.
When a prophet emerges from among people themselves, they don't understand it well. Because until then they had been together.
Although that person's character and temperament stood apart from other people's, and although he was in a respected position, when Allah Almighty, with the prophets He had made a covenant with earlier, gives His prophet a duty, the person distances himself from the man he respected. Where do you get being a prophet from? he says. How could you be that?
Yet instead of saying to him: where are you a prophet from? and denying him, if he paid attention to his words and with his mind were able to tell truth and right, right and falsehood apart, he would find the truth. Yes.
I do not want to oppose you by doing the opposite of what I forbid you. I only want to set things right as far as I am able. But (?) not with Allah's help. In Him alone I have trusted and to Him alone I will turn, it says. Shuayb (peace be upon him). to his people – his people does not value people's rights and law. They swindle people, they cheat. They give short weight on the scales. Well, toward one another they no longer had respect and love; a time when the strong crushed the weak. Shuayb's people. And we understand from this that it was so. When Moses (peace be upon him), in Egypt, accidentally killed the Copt and then realized that Pharaoh would kill him, he comes to the people of Midian.
He comes to the people of Shuayb (peace be upon him). He is related to Shuayb (peace be upon him). When he comes to the (?), he is tired, of course, and rests there a little. He sees two young women waiting on one side with their cows. The shepherds who come water the cows and go, water and go, water and go. Upon this, Moses (peace be upon him) – of course, there is Allah's justice – says: what do you have in mind here? We are going to water our cows, they say. Why don't you water them? he says. Although our turn has come and gone, although others come from outside, water and take theirs away, we, they say, do not go in among the men.
After the shepherds have watered, they say, we – only after that do we water our cows, they say. Upon that he immediately takes the cows. He waters the cows. He gives them to them. Off you go, he says. From this we understand that that people was a disrespectful people. Even if a woman were waiting her turn there, she is a human being. One will observe her rights and fairness, observe justice toward her. If one is able and has the time, she is a woman: one will water her cows first and send her off. And moreover, well-known people – the elder of the people, for instance, the prophet Shuayb. So these were people who strove to gain superiority over one another and recognized no right or law, people who (?) justice.
In justice – people who did not recognize justice. Yes, and what does Shuayb (peace be upon him) say? In Him alone I have trusted and to Him alone I will turn, he says, of Allah Almighty. Shuayb (peace be upon him), addressing his people: O my people, if I have a clear proof given by my Lord and He has given me fair provision from Him, what do you say to that? he said. The proof in this verse is that his people would be destroyed. Otherwise he was not given a miracle. Shuayb (peace be upon him) was not given a miracle. The proof in his hand: Allah will send you a calamity and destroy you. Before you are destroyed, turn to Allah first – he warns them.
It is what was made known to Shuayb (peace be upon him). That is, the destruction of that people being made known to Shuayb (peace be upon him). And the fair provision is the blessing of prophethood and his being favored with revelation. If He has given me fair provision, it says. Allah has given everyone pure provision, has created it. And provision – the finest of provision is the rank He gave him. So Shuayb (peace be upon him): If I am upon this proof and these blessings, what do you say to that, he said. I do not want to do the opposite of what I forbid you and oppose you. That is, what is the prohibition? You worship idols – that is associating partners with Allah; you do not respect one another's rights and law; you have no respect left for one another. My forbidding you this, Allah's laws, in this way is not of my own accord, not to (?) you, but because the Lord of the worlds says so; because I have taken my place beside Him, I convey His command to you, he says.
I do not want to do the opposite of what I forbid you and oppose you. That is, O people, whatever I have forbidden you, for my own self too these are forbidden. Because Allah does not make something forbidden for you and lawful for me. First, the prophets imitate these, imitate them. Then the prophets, by their example and by their words, try to explain these to people. Otherwise I am not going to forbid these to you with ill intent toward you and then myself do these forbidden things.
I only want to set things right as far as I am able, he said.
That is, when people made their covenant with Allah Almighty, their covenant they gave to Allah, if it is good, they, saying it is the truth, repent to Allah and ask forgiveness.
They believe in Allah and the hereafter. If one gave Allah a bad covenant, there is no one but Allah who can turn it toward Allah. So, O my people, I am fulfilling my duty. To rule your wills and turn you from your way – a (?) I do not possess. In our time I am in the same situation. We are not going to force anyone to the truth. We only proclaim the truth. We proclaim the truth. Look now. Give me the book, would you, my Quran there. Give it here, let me see.
