Translation

“Do not approach it with evilness or, the punishment of a great day will seize you.”

Tafsir

Hadrat Salih (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) warned his people, saying, 'Do not try to do any evil to this camel. Otherwise the punishment of a great day will seize you. This is the miracle that the people of Thamud asked for, and they were told not to touch the camel if they did any harm to it, referring to the great day, the day of their total destruction.

In fact, when people touch a camel, does Allah do injustice against an animal and destroy people? Then why is Allah destroying so many people against a camel? The answer is that the killing of the camel is not the issue. It is about disobeying Allah's command. It is the result of taking Allah lightly and continuing in their rebellion and disbelief, even though Allah has made people realize what Allah has asked of them. Surely Allah will not leave them unattended. Allah showed His presence by destroying them, and He left these events as an example and a remembrance for the people who will come after them. This is how Allah (swt) destroys people who take Allah lightly.

What is said in the video

Verse 157 of Surah Ash-Shu'ara: Yet despite this they slaughtered the camel, but they also regretted it. They killed it by cutting its legs. (?) this unjust people, the camel that Allah, as His miracle, to this people had given, cut its legs and left it to die. Allah Almighty sent them destruction. Before being destroyed, they understood they would be destroyed. They woke in the morning in fear. And they regretted slaughtering the camel. But they did not repent of their unbelief. Had they repented to Allah, they would have seen that Allah's mercy is vast. Because they too are a denying people. Even if they see the miracle, they are still doubtful, that is.

Just as people in hell, the more they burn and the more their torment grows, will say (?) to Allah. These are the same. Their regret is their not repenting upon seeing the torment. At a time when the doors of repentance are closed, their repentance is not accepted; since it is a repentance that fear gave them, the repentance they made, in Allah's sight, He does not accept either. Because the doors of repentance have closed.
