Ash-Shu'ara 160: (The nation of the Prophet) Lot also accused their Messenger of lying.

Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 160. The people of Lot, too, accused the prophets of lying. Now here Allah Almighty lists, one after another, the peoples that were destroyed. The people of 'Ad, the people of Thamud, the people of Lot, He lists them like this now. Lot was the cousin of Abraham (peace be upon him), if I remember correctly. Yes. And Abraham (peace be upon him) loved Lot very much. When Abraham (peace be upon him) was thrown into the fire in Urfa, Allah Almighty, by telling the fire to be cool and safe, rescued Abraham from there, and Abraham took Lot and left that place. They leave together.

Lot was still a child then, it is said. They go together. When guests came to the house of Abraham (peace be upon him), he does not know that they are angels. He immediately brings them a calf, a roasted calf. When he sees that they do not eat, he becomes afraid. The angels, understanding this, say, "We are angels. We do not eat food. We bring you glad tidings of a child." And his wife even claps her hands and says, "While I am an old woman and barren, how can I have a child?" Yet the angels say, "This has been settled in the sight of Allah." "We have been sent to Lot," they say, to Lot. To destroy that place. Then Abraham becomes very sad, fearing that something will happen to Lot.

Upon this the angels reassure Abraham (peace be upon him). They say, "We will save him together with his family, except only an old woman." Yes. We will come to those parts, God willing. Yes. The men of this people had abandoned women and had sexual relations with men; it was a (?) people. Allah Almighty warned this people too through Lot (peace be upon him) and had the truth conveyed to them.
