Translation

“I am not asking for any remuneration for this. The One who will give my reward is the Lord of the worlds.”

Tafsir

Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' addressed his people and said: "O my people! I am not asking for any remuneration for entrusting you with the command of Allah and saving you from calamities. I am only informing you of Allah's commands because of a duty given to me, that is, my Prophetic duty.

My reward is with Allah. And only Allah, the Lord of the worlds, is the one who will give me my reward.

What is said in the video

Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 64. 164, the verse: For this I ask no payment from you. All the prophets say the same thing. For this warning I have given you, for a duty, I ask no payment from you. The one who will give my reward is only the Lord of the worlds. I am a messenger of my Lord sent to you on earth. Our Lord, the Owner of the worlds, does not leave His messenger alone. Nor does He leave him unpaid. When a factory owner sends an employee of his somewhere, his travel money, his food, his drink, all of it, he covers until his safe return. And wherever he goes, he does not leave him alone. If a human is like this, would Allah leave His messenger alone?

Prophet Lot (peace be upon him), addressing his people: O my people, for conveying Allah's commands to you and for saving you from disasters, I ask no payment. Only because of a duty given to me, that is, the duty of prophethood, do I make Allah's commands known to you. My reward is with Allah. Yes. And the one who will give my reward is only Allah, the Lord of the worlds, he said. The verses are clear anyway. Well.
