“Oh My Dear Lord! Save me and my family from (the punishment of) what they are doing.”
Tafsir
When the people of Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' ostracized their Prophet and said, "If you do not give up your cause, you will be one of those who will be exiled," Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' prayed to Allah (swt) and said, "O my Lord, save me and my family from the ugly deeds, filthy and despicable situations of this oppressive people, from the shame of those who act outside of Your command, and save me from them.
Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' knew the destruction that would befall this people, so he asked Allah (swt) to save me from this people as well. This is because when Allah gives a calamity to a town, He does not discriminate between the good and the bad, He gives it to all of them at once. Because to turn away from evil is to participate in it. In this respect, Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' said, "Save me from them too.

What does Lot say?
My Lord, save me and my family from what they keep doing, from its burden, he says. From its burden. Why does he say "from its burden"? O my Lord, You sent me to them as a prophet. You sent me to convey the truth to them. and I say what I can, but surely, even although I say as much as I can, because I cannot convince them, do not lay a burden on me (?), my God, he says. Yes. What a beautiful thing he says. My Lord, save me and my family from what they keep doing, from its burden, he says. That is, save me from such states as well. When the people of Lot (peace be upon him) cast out their prophet and told him, "If you do not give up this cause of yours, you will be among the banished," Lot (peace be upon him) prayed to Allah Almighty.
O my Lord, save me and my family from the ugly deeds this oppressive people keep doing, from filthy and base states, from the burden of those who act outside Your command, and save me from among them, he said. Since Lot (peace be upon him) knew that what would befall this people was destruction, he said to Allah Almighty: save me from among this people too. Because when Allah sends a calamity upon a town, He makes no distinction there between good and bad.
Pay attention to this word. I will make a distinction here. What are we saying? He said to Allah Almighty: save me from among this people. Because when Allah sends a calamity upon a town, He makes no distinction there between good and bad. He sends His calamity upon all of them at once. Because keeping silent about evil means taking part in it.
For this reason He makes no distinction, but those who do not stay silent, if not with the tongue – well, first, if not with the hand, if not with the tongue, who detest it in their hearts and take their place beside the prophet, get away unscathed. These are (?). Even though they are among them, Allah takes them out of there. He saves them.
For this reason Lot (peace be upon him) said: save me from among them too. Yes.
