If Allah had given to people calamities just as hastily as they desire goodness, their end would have come. But We leave those who do not expect to return to Us, wandering in their transgression.
Tafsir
It is narrated that some polytheists, such as Nadr bin Haris, denied the Prophethood of the Messenger of Allah and said, "O Allah, if Muhammad's Prophethood is true, then rain stones down on us from the sky or bring us a painful punishment. They say that this verse was revealed thereupon.
When people are afflicted with a calamity, they pray to Allah for it to be removed and for some good to come to them. Allah is the One who answers prayers. He accepts their prayers, removes the calamity from them and bestows good upon them. But there are some people who ask Allah for evil for others or for themselves. If Allah had given them evil as He has given them good, they would have reached the end of their lifespan on earth before they had fulfilled it, before they had made themselves witnesses to Allah, before they had revealed what kind of people they are. Allah is All-knowing, All-wise. Therefore, Allah knows when He will give the evil that people wish for.
Those who do not expect to meet Allah and the Hereafter live in ignorance of the Verses of Allah. Although Allah has addressed all the worlds with His Holy Qur'an, when the Verses of Allah are explained to those who live in their rebellion, whose ears are blocked and whose hearts are sealed, their chests are constricted, they are overwhelmed, and they leave the places where the Word of Allah is explained in distress. That is why, since such people have multiplied, people who are going to tell the Word of Allah are treated insultingly, and they ridicule people who say Allah with sarcastic words, taking strength from their own ego and arrogance and from people like them.
Every human being lives a certain number of years, and during that time, such people are given respite until the end of their lives in their rebellion, in order to keep themselves as witnesses to Allah and to themselves, and also to the world around them. They are left to flounder in their own mental behavior, alone in their rebellion. They are far from Allah and Allah is far from them. As long as such people live in their lifetime, Allah, the guarantor of their sustenance, sustains them. On the Day when they will finally be called to account, they will be sent to their rightful places.
What is said in the video
If Allah were to hasten evil for people just as they seek to hasten good, evil — their terms would surely have been ended. But those who do not expect to meet Us, We leave wandering blindly in their transgression, to themselves. In their transgression.
As long as their (?) feelings cannot be brought to perfection, the life of this world seems sweet to them. In this respect, by envying people, envying wealthy people, he begins to amass in this world without regard to halal or haram. From Allah Almighty he asks for many things. And within his destiny, Allah Almighty gives him those wishes.
But some people (?) evil things. For example, some peoples saying: if the Allah you speak of exists, let Him destroy us, and so on, things like that. These. Or else a man curses or prays: let me be like this, let me be like that; if it is so, if I am lying, may Allah crush me, may He do this, may He do that — even though he is lying, he says it like that. If, He says, He tells us, We had given you quickly what you said, there would be no person left walking the earth, He says. No people would be left walking the earth. Why then does Allah Almighty not give it? Every person came into this world to prove what kind of person he is.
Did you think you would die without proving what kind of person you are — according to the verse? Allah Almighty has given people a set lifespan. Within that lifespan, however much evil people wish for, until the end of that life the person is subjected to the good and evil within his own destiny. Apart from this, beyond what their own hands have done, Allah Almighty does not give them any good or evil. Why doesn't He? Because, He says, We do not load on your backs a burden you cannot bear. All events outside their destinies are burdens people cannot bear. Yes. According to the reports, some polytheists like Nadr ibn al-Harith denied the Prophet's prophethood.
O Allah, if Muhammad's prophethood is true, rain stones on us from the sky at once — rain them. Or bring us a painful punishment, they said. Thereupon this verse was revealed, they say. Although the verses were revealed upon their saying so, so that people like this who will come until the Last Day might learn a lesson from them, Allah Almighty has placed His verses before people as a light, as a proof — He has sent them. For in this way people, falsely, or from Allah Almighty — if I don't do this, may I be crushed, may I be like this, like that, they say, for example. Is it certain that in your destiny you will do it?
Do you have proof in your hand? (?) — do you have proof that you will live until then? Like this — if they had wished for this evil, He says, and We (?) them, there would be no living thing walking the earth, He says. We leave these, He says, people like this, adrift in their transgression. What is this? Being left adrift in their transgression. They are already left adrift, since they will not turn to Allah's word. Because they will not turn to Allah's word. I mean, We leave them wandering blindly in their own transgression, to themselves. And why do We leave them to themselves? Because, for every person to prove what kind of person he is, We sent them to this world.
So, since their desires and wishes, their aims, are their destiny, that destiny, and what kind of person they are — within how many breaths he will prove it, within how many breaths he will prove it — since Allah Almighty knows this, He gives him that many breaths as his life span. In this case, if Allah Almighty, angered at their conduct, gave way to whim like people do and destroyed them for those deeds, those people, toward Allah Almighty, (?): I got this angry, so I destroyed them like this. You were patient with so many people, You granted them a life. If You had granted me life too, I would also have turned back, he says.
So however transgressive people may be, however astray they may be, they cannot die before proving what kind of person they are. In this respect Allah Almighty has granted them a set respite. He has programmed it in the worlds. Within that program these worlds will complete their course. Yes.
When people meet with this misfortune, they pray to Allah to remove it and to bring them some good. Allah is the One who answers prayers. He accepts their prayers, removes the misfortune from them and grants them good. But some people also ask Allah for evil about other people or about themselves. What does he say? O Allah, crush (?) man. O Allah, destroy that one, this, that, I don't know what. they say. Yes.
But some people also ask Allah, about others or about themselves, for evil — they ask. If Allah, this — had given evil as He gives good, had given evil quickly too, people, before their lives on earth were complete, before making themselves witnesses before Allah, before what kind of person they are came to light, would have ended their term. In this case Allah Almighty (?). Yes. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. In this respect, when to give the evil people ask for, Allah knows very well. Those who do not expect to meet Allah and the hereafter, of Allah's verses live unaware. Although Allah addresses all the worlds with the Holy Quran, those living in their transgression, whose ears are blocked and whose hearts are sealed — when Allah's verses are told to them, their chests tighten, they feel stifled.
In distress they leave the places where Allah's word is told. Why? Because they rebelled against Allah before, at Qalu Bala. Where is that? At the covenant of 'Alastu bi-Rabbikum'. In the realm of Lahut. When Allah Almighty created our spirits and suddenly gave them life, when He said 'I am your Lord', they waited for the Lord of their own imagination, turning their backs on Allah Almighty, and not looking at Allah as Allah, not looking at Him as the Creator, waiting for the Lord of their own imagination — so what does Allah Almighty say to them? My Beloved, do not mind their denying you in the world.
They betrayed Me too in their time, He says. They betrayed Me too. That is, at that covenant of 'Alastu bi-Rabbikum', the Lord of their own imagination they waited for, and they denied Me, He says. Denial. So in this case, since Allah Almighty wrote their wishes for them exactly as their destiny, with feelings like fame, glory, pride, arrogance, ego and grandeur in them, these people, where Allah's word is mentioned, since they feel stifled by Allah, try to leave their places there. They feel stifled. In one verse Allah Almighty says they reach a state where the clouds in the sky would burst, He says.
Yes. it is for this reason that such people, since they (?), treating with contempt the people who would tell Allah's word, drawing strength from their own nafs and arrogance, from people like themselves, mock people who say Allah with sneering words — with sneering words, like 'fundamentalist'. Whatever 'fundamentalist' is supposed to mean — fundamentalist. Sir, this-and-that-ist, I don't know what. There is either Muslim or non-Muslim. That is, Muslims are people who believe in Allah, the Book and the Prophet. Non-Muslims are those who associate partners with Allah, who say Allah is three, sir, who recognize no book other than the book in their hands.
Yes. (?) Even those who do not believe in our master Muhammad (peace be upon him). Those who do not follow the Quran. What happened? It split into two parts. Actually these are three parts. Ve küntüm ezvâcen selâseh. Fe ashâbü'l-meymeneti mâ ashâbü'l-meymeneh, those on the right. Ve ashâbü'l-meş'emeti mâ ashâbü'l-meş'emeh, those on the left. Ve's-sâbikûne's-sâbikûn, ülâike'l-mukarrabûn, fî cennâti'n-naîm — what He calls the group of the foremost.
Yes, the prophets, the prophets, the martyrs, the group of martyrs. People like these are gathered in three parts. Of these three parts, the second part, that is, those He calls meş'eme, those on the left — those who turn their backs on Allah, those who live as non-Muslims, those who are Muslims yet envy non-Muslims — envy them. Those who say they are like him too. Muslims who are Muslim yet, without using their mind, envy the non-Muslim, like the path he walks and agree with him — calling Muslims 'fundamentalist', 'I don't know what-ist', with such terms, let me say, look down on them and mock them.
Mock. Yet the one looked down on and mocked is himself. But we are not aware. Like what, Hodja? The believer serves as a mirror (?) for the one facing him. A mirror. That person sees himself in that (?), in that mirror. He is describing himself. Himself. This poor man never thinks that with the coming of Islam, of those who buried children alive in the ground and killed them, those people's savagery — what removed it and gave life to the whole world was Allah's verses. Yes. So those who say 'fundamentalist', those who mock Islam, not deeming fame and glory fitting for themselves — Allah Almighty: they are like the four-legged ones roaming the earth; 'even further astray in their way' — in keeping with those verses, being dragged after their carnal feelings, and unable to break these carnal feelings and draw near to Allah, unable to be governed by Allah's verses, those poor people, to satisfy their lustful feelings, their desires and nafs, following Satan, since they cannot carry them out, from the religion of Islam drift further and further away.
So in this case, not like the four-legged ones roaming the earth, but as in the verse 'even further astray in their way' — people living accordingly. Like what? Allah Almighty programmed all the worlds, His creatures; all creation, creation, as it remembers Allah, as He programmed it; in the end all creation fulfils its task as Allah programmed it. They — these creatures you call animals — while doing their task as Allah programmed, man, to whom He gave great value, left free in his will and made worthy of His address — this man, if he cannot even be as much as that animal — while that animal Allah created does its task according to the task it was created for, and despite Allah giving that man so much glory, fame and honour, if that man lives more vilely than this animal, does not thank Allah and turns his back on Him, then surely he is even further astray in his way than the animal.
Yes.
How beautifully Allah Almighty lays out His verses like this. How beautifully. Why don't people explain these? It doesn't suit them. Distorting the verses (?). And they like giving fatwas to suit people. And selling Allah's word to make them leave their place also suits their interests.
So that every person, living a set lifespan, may within it make himself a witness before Allah, before himself and also before those around him, such people are given respite in their transgression until the end of their lives. With this transgression of theirs, within their own reasoning, they are left alone, wandering blindly. They are far from Allah — from Allah, and Allah from them, Allah too is far from them. As long as such people live out their lives, Allah, the guarantor of their provision, provides for them. In the end, on the day their account is taken, they are sent to the place they deserve.
Allah Almighty, His mercy in the universe — to everyone, be they idolater, Magian or non-Muslim, whoever they are, without ever discriminating, to all of them He gives their provision within their destinies. He treats them equally. In this case people think they are left adrift and, in their own whims, keep wrestling with their transgressions. The end, the end is a loss and a fiasco. Like what? Today we see young girls, still tiny, 13 to 15 years old, wrapped around each other, sir, as so-called boyfriends. In the end the girls are defiled, and in the end they go as far as suicide, and with feelings of grudge and hatred toward one another they withdraw from people.
Suicides begin.
Is this a human being? Allah created man honourable. If a person, within his own dignity, within his own chastity and (?), within his own being, is governed by Allah's verses, his place in our Lord's presence is a (?). Yes.
