Translation

So, who is a greater oppressor than the one who fabricates lies against Allah or who denies Allah’s verses? Verily, great sinners cannot attain guidance (as long as they are on that path).

Tafsir

So, O people! Who is more unjust than the one who fabricates a lie against Allah, that is, the one who does not want to believe in Allah because Allah does not exist, and the one who denies the Verses sent by Allah? Humans may sin and make mistakes due to their imperfect creation. But to knowingly betray Allah, to deny Him even though every mind knows Allah, and not to believe that one will be held accountable before Allah after death is to tell a great lie against Allah (swt). Whoever continues to live in this way, such people are criminals.

These people eat and drink from the blessings of Allah and seek help from Allah's creatures for their own worldly interests. They trust in what they have made with their hands, saying it is my good. Such people are ungrateful people who do not see what Allah has given them, and who ascribe shirk to Allah as if in spite of Allah (swt). These are the guilty people. As long as they continue in this state, they will not attain salvation.

What is said in the video

Verse 17, a verse of Surah Yunus that was translated wrongly; we have corrected it. It says: so who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah or denies His verses? Know that the guilty will never succeed, it says. The guilty will never succeed. Something is missing here. It includes all the guilty. And it also pulls in Allah Almighty's pardon and forgiveness, and people sinning by mistake as well.

Because Allah's word is built upon rights. Upon rights. Since it is upon rights, if it puts all the guilty, every one of them, into the same pot, then when the guilty return to Allah, when they come into His presence: look, You said this, but this one also attained peace. He also got what he wanted, thanks to You. So why did You say it like this? As in: weren't there supposed to be no inconsistent words in Your word — Allah is ascribed attributes. Whereas, no doubt, the criminals, while in that state, cannot attain salvation. While in that state. There is a distinction here. Yes. The verses must be understood well.

Otherwise you accuse Allah here. What does it say? The guilty will not succeed. Well, know that the guilty will never succeed. That is, they will not attain salvation. The guilty never. And if the guilty do not attain salvation here, then show me a single guiltless person, and I mean prophets included.

Can you show one guiltless person? So the guilty will not succeed as long as they continue in that state. They cannot attain salvation. In that state. If they turn back, Allah Almighty forgives. You see, the word is very important. The word. Here, too, people must pay very close attention to the word. In the verses. They have always ascribed attributes to Allah Almighty.

Yes. So who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah or denies His verses, it says. Who? One who will accuse Allah, who will say the verses are not like this but like that. About women's headscarves: back then there were no (?), and because women's hair was falling out, their hair was covered. That was addressed to the people of that time. As they say. May Allah protect us.

These fit Allah's verses to their own minds, liking some of them and disliking others; they are people unjust to their own selves. No doubt the criminals, that is, the mujrims — who is a mujrim? People who are great sinners. While in that state, they do not attain salvation. Yes. So, O people, who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah, that is, who says there is no Allah and does not want to believe in Allah, and the one who denies the verses Allah sent — who is more unjust? Because of their imperfect creation, people may sin, they may make mistakes. But knowingly betraying Allah — denying Him though every mind knows Allah — and not believing that after death, in the presence of Allah Almighty, one will be called to account, is telling a great lie against Allah Almighty.

Telling a great lie. Where is the lie? The lie is here. At the address of Elestü bi-Rabbiküm, Allah Almighty — they said yes. They said yes. That is, every mind knew it was created by a Lord, but because Allah Almighty gave man of His spirit and created him resembling His essence, that person saw his Lord before him, his Creator, as like himself, that is, as a human, and so he could not grasp that Allah Almighty had created him; he waited for the Lord of his own imagination. The one of his own imagination. And doesn't Allah Almighty say to them in a verse: Had We wished, it says, We would have come down from the sky with angels and clouds and made them prostrate, it says.

Yes. So Allah Almighty, who leaves every person free in their will and writes their wishes and desires, their own aims, for them as destiny, by leaving people free with their own will, inscribes their stance toward Allah Almighty as their own destiny. He gives it to those people as characters. So these people, despite knowing they were created — Let's put a full stop here. Let us explain to you what comes next. Since these know that Allah exists — Allah's existence — they expect a Lord who comes down from the sky with clouds like this. In this world too, these people are in the same mindset, aren't they?

In the same mindset. Allah cannot be seen. Allah cannot be seen. Well, of course in this world you can't see Him in this form. Because it is a (?) world. Allah is exalted above form. When you say exalted above form — Allah Almighty — every created thing has a form. When you say exalted above form: did I make a covenant with an Allah I did not see? And did I make a pact with a Lord I did not see, with a formless being?

The same feelings in people in this world too; yet Allah says, look, in Paradise too He will appear like a sun, or like an image. Well, if in Paradise He will be seen like an image, or like a sun, like a moon, on that day, it says. That day. Which day? When the Hour comes, the Great Court is set up, and judgment belongs to Allah alone, it says. When judgment belongs to Allah alone.

Everyone, to the judgment Allah Almighty will give, (?), will consent. Now look what Allah Almighty says here. In His verse — if I can find it now, I'll read it to you properly.

Hold on.

Look what we say: Surah As-Sajdah, verse 12.

The time when those sinners will hang their heads before their Lord: our Lord, we have seen, we have heard. Now send us back to the world so that we do good deeds. Now we firmly believe — if only you could see the time they will say this, it says. Well, wasn't Allah supposed to be invisible? So did you make a covenant with an invisible Allah? Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I do not worship an Allah I have not seen, he says. And I too say on oath: I do not worship a Lord I have not seen. So it's not that Allah cannot be seen, not that Allah is above form; Allah is above a particular form.

For example, people have got used to talking like a bird flying with half a wing; does this bird with half a wing fly? It crawls on the ground. These too have judged like that, with falsehoods and superstitions; they gather words in their mouths — like what? The verse says judgment belongs to Allah alone; now, if judgment belongs to Allah alone, why did He send me to the world? If by the judgments I give, by what I do and take, by good deeds and sins, I am to prove what kind of person I am, and the judgment is Allah's — I made those judgments, so what does He want from me? Whereas the verse isn't like that.

On that day judgment belongs to Allah alone. They drop "that day" and say judgment belongs to Allah alone. You see, people like this sweep these verses under the rug too. Allah is above form, they say, whereas they abolish a particular form. However you see Me, I am an opposite of that, an opposite in it, an opposite in it, He says. Allah Almighty does not, like us, stay in one single attribute and make His essence known within one single attribute. Where is He seen in a single attribute? He has a single attribute. Where? When He stood upright once more in His true form, it says. What is that true form? The form in which He appeared to you at the address of Elestü bi-Rabbiküm.

If you don't have knowledge of the Quran, (?). You try to interpret the verses by your own mind. And then, of the verses that are interpreted, he says: this man ascribes attributes to Allah. By your own mind you wear yourself out with that false idea, with superstitions. You try to spread falsehood over the truth.

So who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah, or those who deny His verses? No doubt the criminals, while in that state, cannot attain salvation. So, O people, who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah, that is, who says there is no Allah and does not want to believe in Allah — and all of them saw. That's why we're explaining it anyway. And who is more unjust than one who denies the verses Allah sent? Because of their imperfect creation, people may sin. They may even make mistakes. But knowingly betraying Allah, denying Him though every mind knows Allah, and not believing one will be called to account after death in the presence of Allah Almighty, is telling a great lie against Allah Almighty.

So this means: every person, in that world of spirits — what we call the world of Lahut, where our spirits were created — when our Lord said "I am your Lord", every spirit there: a Lord created me. I was created — it knows this. Because it comes into being from nothing, (?). In that case, each mind knows that a Lord created it. In that case, even in the remotest corners of Africa, in places human hand and foot have never touched, people make sorcerers, make idols, and worship them. Even they know there is a Lord. That is, they know they were created. In that case, if a person denies the Lord before him, he has his own covenant, his wish, written for him as destiny, and in the world the script he had written there he plays here as an actor.

These people eat and drink from the blessings Allah gives, and for their own worldly interests seek help from Allah's creatures. That is, they worship idols made with their own hands, and Allah's created servants — trees, stones, plants — all are servants of Allah. He shapes them. Then he brings the spirit of that Lord of his imagination and puts it inside. And then he worships it. I'm not worshipping it, he says. I worship the spirit of my Lord, he says. These are idolaters. Yes, they trust in what they made with their hands, saying it's my lucky charm, or again they shape what they make with their hands, address it as gods and worship it.

Such people, who don't see what Allah gives, are ungrateful people who, as if defying Allah Almighty, associate partners with Allah. These are criminals. As long as they continue in these states, they cannot attain salvation. as long as they continue in these states. Indeed, in the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him) too, some of the Muslims, the hypocrites, turn right back. And some of them make a turn back again. Allah Almighty forgives those who turn back, again. In that case, although Allah Almighty's pardon and forgiveness are abundant, those who go on in that state live out their own covenant in the world, and after (?) without proving what kind of people you are, according to the verse, in the world of the hereafter — they complete here the script of the covenant they gave our Lord, and that symbol they get, they get the stamp, and in that way pass on to the hereafter.

For example, Allah Almighty destroyed some peoples. What does He say? They were sinners anyway, He says. How does He know? From their covenant there. And from His writing their destinies and inscribing them as characters in them, and from His saying: there is not a single living being to come until the Hour whose doings We do not know.
