Translation

Verily, if We would postpone their punishment until a determined time, they would say; “What is it that delays its coming?” Know that on the day when punishment comes to them, it will not be distanced from them again. And the thing they have been mocking will encircle them.

Tafsir

When those who deny the existence of Allah and mock, and do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, are threatened with torment, and Allah postpones their torment until a numbered period, they say, 'Where is the torment that You promised?

The meaning of the postponement of the numbered days here is the duration of a lifetime given to people. If we do not torment them until they fulfill their lifespan, they will be even more spoiled when they see that the torment is not coming. When they die and pass on to the Hereafter, according to the Verse (All souls will be returned to Allah), when they are held to account for what they have done, when the rebels and disbelievers are tormented, this torment will not be removed from them. These are the ones who will be subjected to the eternal torment of eternal life.

(And what they were mocking at will encircle them.) By what they were mocking at are those who mocked at the denial of Allah and the Hereafter. Those who are in a hurry to ask for the punishment. On the Day of Reckoning, when they see that what they mocked at, that is, the punishment they desired, is true, their eyes will be in a state that will make their eyes pop out of their sockets. A fire will fall into their hearts and souls. They wish that this world and all that is in it were theirs so that they could ransom it to Allah and be saved from torment.

What is said in the video

We are reading verse 8 of Surah Hud. Truly, if We postpone the punishment from them until a counted term, Allah, swearing by His Essence, says truly: if We postpone the punishment from them until a counted term, they will surely say: what prevents it from coming? Who are they? The unbelievers, the idol worshippers. those outside the religion of Islam who do not believe in the prophets say: what prevents this? Where is your Allah, why did He not give us this punishment, they say; if your Allah existed, they say, He would give the punishment. Because the first thing people say is: if your Allah exists, let Him send down from the sky a calamity on us, or let Him destroy us. Look, a person, though he does not believe, cannot say this: If your Allah exists, come on, let Him open my doors of good.

He cannot say this. If your Allah exists, let Him give me a calamity. Let Him do this to me, let Him do that to me. Always the door of evil, that is. Always. Oh dear. They ask Allah for calamity.

And Allah Almighty gives them these calamities. But after the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) honoured the world with his coming, since mercy had come to the worlds, He lifted the destructions. He only gives calamity. Two or three times a year, to non-Muslims and to those among us who go the same way. Yes. What prevents it from coming — that is, what prevents that calamity from surely coming, they say. Know that on the day the punishment comes to them, it will not be turned away from them again, He says. It will not be turned away. That is, the moment that command of punishment is issued, it is over.

Hodja, is it because they had their destiny sealed that they constantly ask for evil? Is it because they had their destiny sealed that they constantly ask for evil? A good question. They do not know good. Because at the address Elestü bi Rabbiküm — one of our children says: is it because they had their hearts sealed, he says, that they ask for calamity this way, he says. Yes. Because they had their hearts sealed, because Elestü bi Rabbiküm. At that address, when He said I am your Lord, Allah Almighty has a covenant with our spirits. Ve iz ehaze rabbüke min benî Âdeme min zuhûrihim zürriyyetehüm ve eşhedehüm alâ enfüsihim e lestü bi rabbiküm. With those who would emerge from the offspring of the children of Adam We made a covenant. We said, We are your Lord.

He says: your Lord. So in this case, since Allah Almighty gave man a part of His spirit, since He endowed man with forms resembling His Essence, man, since he saw Allah Almighty before him in the attribute of an Essence, could not believe that there is Allah who created him. He waited for the Lord of his imagination. How is the Lord of his imagination? He would descend from the clouds, and in fear one would bow to Him and prostrate. That does not mean a person knowing his Lord by his own will. Allah Almighty says so too. What does He say? We (?) you, He says, We would have made you prostrate to Ourselves.

From the clouds, He says, We would descend with the angels and make you prostrate, He says. He knows people's feelings. He speaks accordingly. And they will not see their Lord, He says. That is, there is no Lord as they imagine, so that they could see their Lord. In this verse it symbolizes the tawhid La ilahe illallah anyway. But on this matter people without knowledge of the Quran distort it. What do they say? (?). And some say that Allah will be seen in Paradise. Whereas it is neither this nor that. It symbolizes that there is no god but Allah. Because they will not see their Lord. Who? Those who deny Allah, who await the Lord of their imagination; there is no such god that they could see.

Illallah. Yes.

In that case, since their hearts are sealed they are unaware of good too; since their hearts are restless and scattered, everyone, according to his own wish and desire, within the setting he lives in, wants his own aim. And what is his aim? Calamity. Calamity. Yes.

We are reading the verse. We are returning to our lesson. Truly, if We postpone the punishment from them until a counted term, they will surely say: what prevents it from coming?

Know that on the day the punishment comes to them, it will not be turned away from them again. And that which they used to mock will encompass them on all sides. Yes. Those who deny the existence of Allah and mock them — that is, those who mock Allah Almighty — those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, when they are warned with punishment, and when Allah Almighty postpones their punishment until a counted term, they say: where is the punishment you promised? Yes. Did they not say the same thing to Lot? However much he warned them, if there is an Allah as you say, rain calamity on us, they said.

And if you speak to us like this again, we will shun you, they said. You think you are so pure, they said. And we will drive you out from among us, they said.

The people of Salih fell into the same situation. The people of Ad, the people of Thamud — it was always the same. Pharaoh's drowning in the sea too — despite seeing 8, 9 miracles, in this situation, seeing each miracle and saying: O Moses, lift this miracle from us, (?) in your Lord — when he said that, when the miracles, that is, those miracles sent by Allah, were lifted from them, the calamities returning to their old state again — after going through quite a test, He destroys him in the Red Sea. Together with his army. So since these lie in their own nature, in their covenants, according to the verse "if We do not will, you cannot will" — only changing destinies, He says, belongs to Me.

Because it is I who made a covenant with people one by one, and I who gave them their wishes and desires, their aims, as destiny. And from Me a word has remained: Paradise and Hell, He says. Paradise and Hell. Since He left people free in their will, and in no way exercised (?) and independence over them, a fearful, domineering stance — since man by his own will freely gave his covenant to Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty wrote his aim for him as destiny. He wove characters into them so that they would live those destinies. In this case, so that people would not ascribe attributes to Allah Almighty, after the address Elestü bi Rabbiküm: O Allah, You created me here like Your Essence. I saw You as a human like me.

I could not believe in You — so that they would not say this, He sends us to this unseen realm. He sends us to a realm where His Essence is not seen. Now, He says, step up then. Now a realm where My Essence is not seen. Yes. In this case Allah Almighty: without proving what kind of person you are, did you think you would die, He says. Even though Allah Almighty knows in what state we are in the realm of the hereafter, since Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes, just so that people would not say, "You created me like Your Essence. I could not know You as Lord. I imagined the Lord of my own imagination.

Had You sent me to an unseen realm, a realm where Your Essence is not seen, I would have worshipped You there" — so that they would not say this, He created these worlds. So people in this realm of possession, and küntüm ezvâcen selâseh — all pairs coming from one another, three classes, selâse, three classes; and eshâbül meymeneti mâ eshâbül meymeneh: O you of the right, glad tidings to you — that is, where are those who know their Lord? That covenant at the address Elestü bi Rabbiküm he will play out in the world in the same way. Because he had the script written that way, he came as an actor, he will play his script.

His destiny is so. The characters are set that way. Ve eshâbül meş'emeti mâ eshâbül meş'emeh. O you of the left, woe to you, He says. So one who says I am a leftist has no connection to the religion of Islam — that kind of person. These, consciously and deliberately, within various ideologies, saying I am a leftist and declaring themselves leftists, and since they distance people from the Quran — the leftist — oh, in Italy, I don't know, because they sat to the left of the king in the Senate, they were called leftists. With that story, being hostile to the rightists, hostile to those they call rightists, who are friends of Allah, that is, to those who live the religion of Islam, with intrigues and wordplay, set on harming the religion of Islam, having taken on the role of a two-legged Taghut devil, trying to make people follow them — people living outside Islam.

Except those who don't know, except those who say I am a leftist and follow along and are used as a tool — to those who are conscious I say this. If today at the world's states we look, all states have shown the colour of their blood. I am a Christian, one says. I am a Catholic, or (?), one says. Another says, I am a Hebrew. Another says, I am I-don't-know-what. Well then, leftist son of a leftist, what are you? Illallah. What are you? Why are you hiding? Why, trying to make this Muslim follow you by saying I'm a leftist, do you gnaw at Islam like a wolf?

I say it again. I have nothing to say to those who tag along as tools. But Allah Almighty has revealed a verse about them. Will you not use your reason? Use your reason. Deceived by the gains of the passing world, do not turn your backs on Allah. Illallah.

It has been understood, I suppose.

If there were good in the leftists, they would wish for good. Illallah. Again, if there were good in the leftists —

I say this openly too — this homeland would not suffer so much. This homeland would not have been sold like this. They would not have wrapped every side like a spider's web and exploited this homeland with the deep state, with their infrastructures, with mafias. They would not have taken loans from the IMF, divided them among themselves, and onto the newborn orphan loaded them. Illallah. Yes.

Again I say, use your reason. I am not saying it, Allah is saying this.

(?) Those who mock, denying Allah's existence, those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, when with punishment they are warned, and Allah Almighty postpones their punishment until a counted term, they say: where is the punishment you promised?

If these people feared Allah, they would neither resort to lies nor turn their backs on Allah. They would use their reason, their reason. Yes. The meaning of the postponement of the counted day here is the length of a lifetime given to people. A counted term. Allah Almighty: until these complete their lifetimes, if We do not give them punishment, if We do not — when they see that punishment does not come, they become more spoiled. At one time, one person said to me: your mouth keeps moving, you are reciting, he said, what are you reciting, he said. I said: to Allah, for your mother, your father, for believing men, believing women, I am praying, I said.

For everyone around, for Allah Almighty to lift the calamities, to bestow good, for Islam not to suffer hardship, I am praying, I said.

If such a thing exists, he said — I don't believe it, he said.

For example, now you would tell me, he said, that a moment later it is not certain we'll be alive. True. A moment later. (?). But I will live until tomorrow morning, he said. I will live until tomorrow morning, he said. Tomorrow morning I'll come and talk with you, he said. If your Allah existed, he said, He would kill me, he said. He wouldn't let me make it, he said. Wouldn't let me make it to morning, he said. I said: what you say, people in past nations said too. But Allah Almighty gave everyone a lifetime; so that within that lifetime people prove what kind of person they are, Allah Almighty, to them, a counted lifespan granted. In that case, if you have not completed your lifetime, surely tomorrow you will talk with me here, if you have not completed your lifetime.

Allah Almighty created people deficient and fallible, I said. Deficient and fallible. If you had been seized at once for the mistakes you have made, not a single living being would be found roaming the earth, He says. How do we know your faith will not be perfected tomorrow? That you will not give up what you are saying? That you will become a good servant of Allah? And Allah will grant you a term up to a certain number, and so that until that term you prove what kind of person you are, He will give you that term.

Fine, he said, I'm going, he said. Go, I said. (?) he came: you see, he said, look, I came, he said.

Yes.

You can't find a word to say. After saying so much with verses, after saying it, you can't find a word. If, whenever people said destroy me right now, Allah had destroyed them, not a single man would be found on the earth. Yes. That is why one of Allah Almighty's attributes is as-Sabur: He is patient.

It is the length of a lifetime given to people, He says. Allah Almighty: until they complete their lifetimes, if We do not give them punishment, they, seeing that the punishment does not come, become even more spoiled. So Allah, swearing by His Essence: know that on the day the punishment comes to them, never again will this punishment be turned away from them, if that command of punishment has been issued. Of all those destroyed, among those destroyed, most of all the people of Lot — the people of Lot affects me more, the people of Lot. The others were destroyed by a blast, destroyed by a quake, drowned in the sea, or like Noah's flood the land drowned in the flood.

But the people of Lot are like this, apart from these. On them, He says, from the sky We rained stones of heated clay, He says. Stones were rained from the sky.

Exactly as the Ababil birds destroyed the elephant army, and although that commander fled and slipped in among some tribes and hid, that Ababil bird found him and destroyed him there. Do you know what this is? Allah Almighty created the universe with knowledge; in the (?) people, each person emitted a frequency; according to those frequencies stones were marked, exactly as when we call a person on a phone, like receiver and transmitter, those stones came, found those people and destroyed them. It (?) me. Yes. With knowledge Allah Almighty destroys them all. With knowledge. And these words of the angels affect me very much.

They want to take the angels too from Lot's hands. Under the angels' gaze they freeze on the spot. This, they say, is a sorcerer. When he went inside, it says to Lot: leave here at night with your family, but do not look back. Only your wife, it says, will be among those who stay behind.

The word that affects me here: has morning not come, is the morning not near, it says. The angels say: has morning not come, is the morning not near?

The command is for toward morning, so they are waiting. That is, everything corresponds to an hour, to a minute. Everything is in a program. Everything is within a program. Yes. The others are not like that. Did it come out as disaster — with a blast, with a cloud, with, well, an earthquake, they go by disaster. But these, a disaster with knowledge.

What are we saying? Allah, by His Essence — you can swear that on the day the punishment comes to them, never again will this punishment be turned away from them. With the verse in which He says this. When these die and pass on to the hereafter — all souls will be returned to Allah, according to the verse — when they are called to account for what they did, when punishment touches the rebels and deniers, this punishment will never again be lifted from them either. That is, they will remain eternally as people of Hell. With the verse in which He says: there they will have neither helper nor intercessor — for them, He says, We will not set up a scale for good, says Allah Almighty.

He says this for good. But He does not say it for evil. We will not set up a scale for good. Why? Because all the fine deeds they did have gone to waste, He says. The reason? The reason? Passing to the hereafter by denying Allah, or having denied one of His verses and passed on to the hereafter — this world, not (?), were it so, were its inside full of rubies and emeralds, were it so, and even if you put this universe inside it — since Allah created all of it, Allah's creations, in Allah's sight, compared to His Essence being known, have no value. Compared to His Essence being known. In that case, if Allah created man so that His Essence would be known, and created this universe for his sake, and wanted His Essence to be known in this universe, if that person (?) denied His Essence, all the deeds they did, as a result of this denial, have gone to waste.

For them there is no scale for good.

But the evil deeds they did will be gathered.

When punishment touches the rebels and deniers, this punishment will never again be lifted from them. To the endless punishment of eternal life, of an endless existence, these will remain subject. And that which they used to mock will encompass them on all sides.

What is it that encompasses them on all sides? The walls of Hell, He says, will encompass them on all sides, He says. The walls of Hell. Do you know what this is? Not the wall of Hell, but its encompassing them on all sides — for them to get out over that wall and flee is not possible either. Not possible. Yes.

And that which they used to mock will encompass them on all sides. Look how beautifully the verses always support one another. What is meant by what they mocked: those who mock by denying Allah and the hereafter. Those who are in a hurry to demand the punishment. On that Day of Reckoning, when they see that what they mocked, that is, the punishment they longed for, is real, their eyes will pop from their sockets — a state, a state heavy (?). When they see the punishment, He says, they will throw themselves face down on the ground. And their eyes, He says, will pop out sky-blue, He says. But We will call those on duty.

We will call those Zabaniya, He says. Seizing them by their forelocks, they will throw them in through one (?) gate of Hell, He says. Yes.

A fire falls into their hearts and souls. Even before they go in. When they see the punishment, when they understand that their place there is Hell, they will wish this world and all in it were theirs, so they could give it to Allah as ransom and be saved from the punishment. Yes.
