What is the thought of those, who make up lies against Allah, about (their situation on the) Day of Judgment? Verily, Allah is graceful towards mankind but most of them are not grateful.
Tafsir
Those who follow in the footsteps of their ancestors without any knowledge of Allah and the Hereafter, those who say, "This is what we saw from our ancestors," and continue to do the filth that pleases their ego, what is their opinion about their fate in the Hereafter because of the lies they fabricate against Allah? What they do in their minds is right. These are the elite of the people. Whatever they do, Allah will vindicate them and Allah will protect them because they are Allah's relatives. Paradise is their right. Of course, such people will tell fabricated tales to justify themselves. But when they pass on to the Hereafter with this kind of behavior, their place will be eternal Hell. They will be there in agonizing agony.
Surely Allah is very gracious to mankind. If people turn their backs on Allah (swt) in the face of all the blessings that Allah (swt) has bestowed upon them, but when they come to their senses, they turn to Allah and repent, Allah (swt) forgives them, for He is very forgiving and merciful to His servants. He will also change their sins into good deeds. Because Allah is very gracious to His servants. He is the One who relieves them of all their troubles.
But if most of the people do not give thanks for the blessings of Allah, while Allah has been very gracious to them, and they turn away from Allah, then the more they turn away from Allah, the more they will be deprived of Allah's mercy in the Hereafter.
What is said in the video
Surah Yunus, verse 60: Those who invent lies against Allah — what do they think of their end on the Day of Judgment? says Allah Almighty. He asks people about that Day of Judgment. What, I wonder, will their end be? Indeed, for a person who does not believe in resurrection after death, when he sees the truth on that Day of Judgment, his end becomes clear. Surely Allah is bountiful towards people, it says. But most of them are not grateful. Who are they? This verse is a verse that directly targets non-Muslims. Of course, even verses that target non-Muslims are shown to Muslims too as a source of lesson.
Now here it says, those who invent lies against Allah, their state on the Day of Judgment; a person, according to this verse, even if a Muslim does not invent lies against Allah Almighty and does not deny the hereafter, Islam, a Muslim person, without being wary of Allah and His Messenger, without fearing Allah, following the whims of his nafs, as if he himself had put on the guise of a scholar, eager to be a leader, sets out to give false, wrong meanings to verses, and finally, though Allah and His Messenger did not say it, they say these hadiths, Allah and His Messenger said so, which is not so; a person inventing lies against Allah — that is the position he falls into.
Now, the light of Islam does not let him fall into this inventing of lies, but lies. It leads him to slander. To slander. Though Allah did not say it, though His Messenger did not say it, he says they said so. A slander comes about. Slander. Now, when it is a lie, it is knowingly, consciously ascribing attributes to Allah, associating partners with Allah, not believing in the hereafter. Slander may be conscious or unconscious, but the person has the light of faith. That is, he has the light of tawhid of the testimony of faith. In this case, in terms of this verse, even though this person is not destined for eternal hell, he is still subject to the same questioning. What, I wonder, will his end be?
When he slanders. If a person fears Allah and His Messenger, would he set out to explain the meaning of a verse he doesn't know? Or would people without knowledge of hadith, about something that is not a hadith, say this is a hadith and slander Allah Almighty or His Messenger? So what will become of these? Now look at Allah Almighty's art of speech.
Two elements, that is, the non-Muslim and the Muslim, He carries together in His word. Although the non-Muslim slanders too, and although the Muslim is in the same situation, look at the speech, what does it say? Surely Allah is bountiful towards people, it says. To whom? To those who bear the testimony of faith, even if they commit slander; because he learned it that way, he says it believing it to be true, and towards him, Allah Almighty distinguishes this person from the other, the non-Muslim, who speaks out of stubbornness. Look at the beauty of the word. Surely Allah is bountiful to people.
But most of them are not grateful. Who are they? This time, the non-Muslims. Since it says most. Non-Muslims are not grateful. They cannot see the truth.
Do you see the subtlety of the verse? How beautiful.
People without knowledge of Allah and the hereafter, who follow in the footsteps of their forefathers, saying 'we saw it like this from our forefathers', who continue in the filth that pleases their nafs, because of the lies they invent against Allah — what do these people think about their end in the hereafter, what is their opinion? We explain these. In their own minds, what they do is right, in their own minds. Because he follows his forefathers, he saw them like that; in their own minds, we say. In fact, since he doesn't follow his reason but the whims of his nafs, he wants his reason to be that way too. In their own minds.
What they do is right. They are the elite of mankind.
The elite of mankind.
You know, among the Masons, people are divided by degrees.
People — as I told you a moment ago, let us explain it here to our children too. No human being is higher or lower than any other human being. If Allah had created people in such classes and ranks, Allah would be given attributes. He created all our souls equal. In this respect, people who come into the world — since the (?) of the hereafter is closed to us, because each person has a part of Allah Almighty, a part, his soul, the soul of Allah Almighty, because this soul, which is nowhere else in the universe, is in man — comparing a beggar with a president, you cannot place a beggar below the president.
You cannot place him below the prime minister. You cannot place him below the ministers. As a human being, though. As a human being, the worth of a person is always equal. His mercy in the universe is for everyone; yet Allah Almighty makes a distinction. Where is the distinction? The distinction is in proportion to the worship between Allah and man, to his nearness to his Lord. Today neither sultans nor presidents — when compared with a shepherd, in a shepherd's sight — perhaps in the sight of Allah the shepherd is in the position of their superior. Or of their commander. In the sight of Allah he is in high ranks.
Doesn't Allah Almighty say in His verse? What does He say? A humiliating punishment will seize them, He says. What does this humiliating punishment mean? When, in the hereafter, he sees that the person he looked down on has attained high ranks, and himself — who in the world was his superior, his boss, or who didn't treat him as a person and saw himself as very high — when that person who saw himself as very high sees that he is subject to punishment, inwardly they will burn. That is a humiliating punishment. Yes. So then, no human being has worth above any other human being. All people are equal. Worth, as I said a moment ago, is between Allah and the servant.
Between Allah and the servant. It is by his nearness to his Lord through the worship he does. Yes. In that case you cannot look down on people.
So these: in their own minds, what they do is right. They are the elite of mankind.
Whatever they do, Allah will approve of them. And since they are close to Allah, Allah will protect them. Paradise too is their right. Such people will of course tell made-up tales to clear their outcome. Yes. But with such behaviour, on their passage to the hereafter, their place is eternal hell. There they will remain in painful torment. Yes. Surely Allah is very gracious towards people. Why is Allah Almighty very gracious towards people? Allah is not like us. When we get angry with someone, we try to take revenge on him. We cannot easily forgive him. But Allah Almighty is very gracious towards people, towards His creatures.
A man is an idolater. He has denied Allah. When he turns back, Allah Almighty has forgiven all his sins. What is the reason? Where is the essence of His graciousness? In essence He is gracious, but where is the essence of this? Its essence is that He created the human mind deficient. Allah willed it so. Because it is His will, He is gracious towards people, and Allah Almighty will forgive. So why did He create it this way? What is the reason? Because He gave man of His spirit; He did not separate man from His essence. People's forms are a part of their Lord's forms. A part. In that case, if He had not created people with deficient minds, He would have created beings equal to His essence.
In this case, since He created man's mind deficient, man will make mistakes, will see his deficiency through his deficiency, and when he sees his helplessness he will turn to his Lord and have himself forgiven. That is man's helplessness before his Lord, and his Lord's abundant forgiveness towards people. And this is where the essence of the matter lies.
Otherwise a person cannot easily be gracious towards what was done to him, towards someone else, not easily. He cannot easily be forgiving. If a person, in return for the filth he has done, had turned to Allah Almighty and Allah had forgiven it, Allah would have turned a blind eye to filth, turned a blind eye. Had it not been for His graciousness, had He not given a part of His spirit and not created man's mind deficient. And if man had turned to Allah with the filth he had done, He would have accepted that filth of his. And whoever accepts that filth would have abolished hell.
Can you sense the subtlety here? You probably didn't get it. Understood, right? Because Allah, as He willed, created man's mind deficient. He will know his helplessness, he will see his Lord. So in return for this will of His, His graciousness is very abundant. His forgiving is very (?), and not because He consents to his filth; that he is living through a period of ignorance, that his mind cannot grasp it, He knows, and since He Himself created the mind deficient: if you had never committed any error on earth, We would destroy you and create servants who err, says Allah Almighty. Look how beautifully the essence of everything comes out right here; so in this case, in the sight of Allah Almighty, people being very honourable, attaining a very high rank becomes clear; and what does Abdulqadir Gilani also say?
If man knew his place in the sight of Allah, he would say 'la hürke illa yevmelî'. That is, he would say: today the dominion is mine alone, he says. Isn't man the vicegerent of the earth anyway? Yes. In this case, no human being can look down on another. If a person knows his Lord, of course. If he knows his Lord.
In this case, with the worth Allah Almighty has given to people, no human being can see another as lesser than himself. If he has entered such an environment, if this person has been swept along by such a current, and with these feelings among people he feels pride, arrogance, superiority in himself, it shows that his nafs has not reached perfection, and that his submission to Allah Almighty is little: a weakness of faith appears. Weakness of faith. (?) Allah Almighty this that we said, our equality on earth, the equality among people, He also makes known with this verse.
The believer is the brother of the believer, his brother. Even if one Muslim is at one end of the world and another at the other end, they are brothers. So among brothers there is never any self-aggrandizement, pride, arrogance or whim towards one another. So man, or Islam, with the light of faith it has given to man, makes man the perfect human and (?) him in the sight of Allah — in return for the verses, what beautiful qualities man takes on. Now the non-Muslims, those not honoured with the light of Islam and those deprived of the feeling of Islam, those who cannot properly grasp the meanings of these verses, will of course chase after made-up tales to clear their nafs.
And they themselves are the elite of mankind. They will put themselves above people. How contrary to Allah's verses — haven't you seen the one who takes his nafs as a god, as He says, the people who take their nafs as a god? Yes.
Surely Allah is very gracious towards people. So we have explained His graciousness. People turning their backs on Allah Almighty despite all the blessings Allah Almighty has given — yes. Besides people turning their backs on Allah Almighty, when they come to their senses, turn to Allah and repent, since Allah is most forgiving and pardoning towards His servants, He forgives them.
Why does He forgive? We said it a moment ago: because He created the mind deficient, so that he knows his helplessness and turns back to Allah; if a person sees his mistake and asks Allah Almighty for pardon and forgiveness, then just as Allah forgives him the sins he committed in his time of ignorance, He also turns them into reward. If he doesn't return to those deeds again, doesn't return to the time of ignorance, yes, these He forgives, and turns his sins into good deeds too, because Allah is very gracious towards His servants and removes all their hardships; but most people, in return for Allah treating them very graciously, if people move away from Allah and are not grateful for the blessings Allah gave, then the further they move away from Allah, in the hereafter they will be deprived of Allah's mercy.
Yes.
