Translation

Whenever you are up to something, whenever you read something from the Qur’an and whenever you commit a deed, We surely are a witness upon you when you are engrossed by it. Nothing on earth and in the heaven of an atoms weight is far (and hidden) from your Lord. There is nothing smaller or larger than this which is not in a preserved (Record) Book (Lawh-al Mahfooz).

Tafsir

Whenever people are engaged in work, reading the Qur'an or doing any other work, they may forget Allah, but Allah is the One who knows what all beings are doing in the whole universe and is the Watcher and Witness over them.

There is nothing in the heavens and the earth that is far from and hidden from our Lord. We have written about this in previous lessons, and it is useful to remind you here. When the plus and minus charged nuclei in the atoms of magnetic or anti-magnetic substances rotate around their axis, they create a magnetic field. This is like a transmitter device. The transmitters of all these magnetic fields have receiving stations. The transmitters of the magnetic fields produced by the plus and minus charged nuclei in these particles appear in Allah's Essence like a Morse code. In this way, Allah is aware of the states of whatever He has created from mote to sphere. It knows what it wants, what it acts, what it does and what it will do based on the programs it has programmed.

As the smaller or larger of these seeds, He has gathered the conditions of His creatures, what they will do, what will happen until the Day of Judgment, who will do what and where, all in a clear Book, the Holy Qur'an. In this respect, since the Qur'an is the word of Allah, changing a letter or a point in it changes the meaning, and if one were to do this intentionally, God forbid, one would be committing kufr.

We said that the Word of Allah is based on letters. The Holy Qur'an, full of miracles from top to bottom, is a clear Book in the sight of Allah, which keeps all that will happen in secret. This is also preserved in the Levh-i Mahfuz.

What is said in the video

Surah Yunus, verse 61: Whenever you are engaged in some matter, whenever you recite something from the Quran, and whenever you all do some deed, when you are absorbed in it, We are surely witness over you, says Allah Almighty. What does it say? Whenever you are engaged in something, that is, you forget your Lord; even if you are absorbed in it and forget your Lord, whenever you recite something from the Quran, that is, whenever you remember Allah, and whenever you do some deed, when you are absorbed in it, We are surely witness over you, it says. Sleep is excluded here, because in sleep there is no deed.

Whether you forget Allah Almighty or not, We are with you, He says. Because We are witness over you, He says. What does this show? It shows that Allah Almighty is present and seeing everywhere. Present and seeing everywhere. Yes. The meanings are deep. If we were to go into those deep meanings — we said before that people can't bear it — it is useful to speak according to people's minds. Yes,

the verse continues: Not on earth nor in heaven is anything the weight of an atom far or hidden from your Lord. If we reinforce the verse with verses: The heavens and the earth and what is between them have known the remembrance of their Lord — the word of the verse. Allah Almighty, His creatures, within the particles, their atoms, and in the nuclei of the atoms, by turning around their own axes, even though we don't hear it, they give off a sound. Allah Almighty has programmed it in such a way that He makes it remember whichever attribute He wishes. So the heavens and the earth and what is between them have known the remembrance of their Lord.

In this case, by making His creatures remember His essence, Allah Almighty — the heavens and the earth and what is between them — that He is the owner of all created beings: this He symbolizes. It symbolizes la ilaha illallah. It symbolizes that He is the absolute owner of the worlds. I'm showing this mouse. Suppose I made it. What do I say? I made this. Is there proof? Yes. There is (?). Here you go. I'm showing it. What will Allah Almighty show? That He makes their atoms remember His essence, and that He is their owner; that He gave it to you, and of that piece which you worked and claimed as your own, He says: I created its origin.

The heavens and the earth and what is between them knowing the remembrance of their Lord. In this case, as they turn around their own axes, they give off a signal. We'll call this signal a frequency. Giving off a frequency. Just as medium-wave radio has a frequency, let me tell you, long-wave Ankara Radio has a frequency,

short wave — short wave one, two — FM radios and so on; many radios each have their own frequencies. If frequencies — if these radios broadcast on the same frequencies, on the same frequencies, the talk of both radios comes through. So Allah Almighty has created these particles He made in such an infinite way, infinite, that by gathering them in His essence, in the remotest corner of the universe any stirring, any desire and wish appears in Allah Almighty. That is why Allah Almighty is (?) from the universe and from His creatures. He created them directly under His own rule, under His own consciousness and power; because He created His creatures so, in this verse too: Allah is capable of all things, it says.

Aren't the verses beautiful? Allah Almighty proves everything by one another. Knowledge. He created the universe with knowledge.

There is nothing smaller or greater than that which is not in a clear book, the Preserved Tablet. That is, in this universe our Lord has created, even the particle in the remotest corner is recorded in the Holy Quran. No one can say, of anything outside the Quran: is this in the Quran too? The Prophet (peace be upon him) also says this in the Farewell Sermon. I leave you such a trust that as long as you hold fast to it, you will find salvation. And the wet and the dry are in it, he says. What is it, says the Messenger of Allah? It is the Quran, he says. The wet and the dry are in the Quran, he says.

If the wet and the dry are in the Quran, Allah Almighty — this hadith is indeed the counterpart of this verse. (?) says: one who knows one hadith is a scholar. One who knows three hadiths is a scholar, he says. Even one who knows a single hadith is a scholar, he says. By what will he know the hadith? He will know which verse this hadith is the counterpart of. That person will know, not by learning from me, he himself will know. What does it say? Not on earth nor in heaven is anything the weight of an atom far or hidden from your Lord; there is nothing smaller or greater that is not in the book, the Preserved Tablet; so, the wet and the dry are in the Quran, he says. In this case, if hadiths are not the counterpart of verses, that is not a hadith.

Those superstitious people who say 'he denies this hadith' should learn this. Let them learn. Let them learn what a hadith is. Talking is very easy. Smearing a person is also easy. (?) has no lock with which one could (?) it. Lock it. But man was created honourable. When a person is going to say something to another, he must have proof in his hand, proof. Proof, and any (?) — by his own mind he takes superstition to be the truth, and against the truth, without proof, with those superstitions, the words that the human brain has directed to him, let's say, a non-Muslim deliberately putting a wrong word into a good book, attributing it to the person who wrote that good book, and believing that person said it, that error the non-Muslim put into that book — the person mortgaging his own mind, coming under the non-Muslim's yoke, and standing against the truth without proof.

With one's own mind.

The proof is the verses. There is no proof apart from the verse. Because all proofs are taken from the verse. And since I open the verses to you from the root with wisdom, I show you the proofs. I show which verse the hadiths are the counterpart of.

So I call out to the superstitious, those who read many books and, with the words they learned in those books, stand against the truth without knowing the truth: in that direction, on the Day of Judgment, what will they say before Allah Almighty, I wonder? If a person feared his Lord, he would put a lock on his mouth, a lock. Yes. Look, for example, the simplest one, as my son Ender asked: against the arrogant, is arrogance charity? he asks. That's how nicely they have them say it, that's how they say it. Yet in a Muslim there is no arrogance. Breaking the pride of the proud, it says, is charity. You will break his pride, because in Islam there is no fame, renown, arrogance, pride, grandeur, ego.

Those who give in to these feelings are chasing the whims of the nafs; it means coming under Satan's yoke through his deception. It means seeing something in oneself and looking other people up and down. It is belittling other people. Breaking the pride of such people is charity. For instance, the moment I arrive, Hasan Efendi is boasting. My car is such-and-such a model, my house this model. Sir, oh, I have a yacht. Him — straight down on his head. Son, are you boasting of your three pennies? It's all fleeting worldly goods. Your car (?). My wealth: my company has this many cars. Actually, there are this many yachts over there.

This many here. Isn't it shameful? You're puffed up like this over three pennies' worth of worldly goods — you must say that and rebuke him. You have to hit him like that. That is how you break the pride of the proud.

Yes.

If a person knows Islam well and masters his nafs, if he lives Islam, he lives in peace in the world. People's words no longer affect him. He sees them at the level of a child. Because he no longer gives weight to what they say. He sees that they're talking lies and nonsense.

Whenever people are engaged in a matter, read the Quran, or are at any work, even if while doing it they give themselves to the work and forget Allah, Allah, over the whole universe, is the One who knows what all beings do, and who is watcher over them and witness.

Hodja, this world is round. We can't see its other side.

The other side of this — I mean, logically. That's how it is for this world. For such a universe, how will He see its back side? What happens? Does it come to a person's mind? It does.

Do you see this glass, the glass? The back of the glass is transparent. I see what's behind it. Allah Almighty too has created this realm transparent to His own essence, transparent. Wherever it may be — just as you bring the world in front of a computer and put it there, and watch all the realms of that world on it — the seven layers of heaven too, like inside this computer, everything in Allah's presence, in His presence, is visible in this way, from the particle to the globe.

Because He created nothing free of His essence.

That is why, He says, even if you went to the remotest corner of the universe, We would find you there, that is why the seventh depth of the earth, together with its brightest surface, the pitch darkness of night, is the brightest of day. Because everywhere is transparent, before His eyes. Yes.

Nothing in the heavens or on earth remains far or hidden from our Lord.

We wrote this in earlier lessons too; it is useful to recall it here. What I told you a moment ago I'm explaining here. Magnetic, and anti-magnetic, we say. The positively and negatively charged nuclei in the atoms of matter, by turning around their own axes, produce a magnetic field. This is like a transmitter. All these magnetic fields' transmitters also have receiving stations. So the positively and negatively charged nuclei within these particles give off magnetic fields, whose transmitters, like Morse code, in Allah Almighty's essence appear. Whatever Allah has created, from particle to globe, He thus knows their states. What they do, their wishes, their movements, what they have done and what they will do, He programs — not (?).

This was written for the general public. We have explained it to you too. There is what the general public will understand. Because everyone will read this. In this case, we wrote it in a way they will understand. In the heavens or on earth nothing remains far or hidden from our Lord, from our Lord. We have opened this up for you. So the states of what He created as smaller and greater than these nuclei, what they will do, what will happen until the Last Day, who will do what where — all of it, in a clear book, the Holy Quran, He has gathered. Yes.

Yes.

In this respect, since the Quran is the word of Allah, by changing one letter or one dot of it the meanings change, so that God forbid, if a person did this knowingly, he would fall into kufr. If one dot of it changed, if a person did it knowingly, he would go into kufr. For example, khalaq. When you say khalaq, there is a dot above the kha. Khalaq. To create. Khalaq means to create. Remove the dot: halak. To annihilate. Yes. That's why one must be very careful with the word of Allah. But Hodja, when reading, we sometimes read it wrongly too. What happens? Deeds depend on intention. As long as you read the Quran.

Allah accepts it from you as (?). Yes.

Since the word of Allah is built on letters — the word of Allah, it says — we had said that it is built on letters. So, by these letters coming together, many meanings arise, we said. The Holy Quran, full of miracles from top to bottom, holding all that will happen as a secret within it, is a clear book in the sight of Allah. And this is preserved in the Preserved Tablet. What are we saying? We had said that the word of Allah is built on letters. And we said many meanings arise from these letters coming together. The Holy Quran, full of miracles from top to bottom, holding all that will happen as a secret within it, keeping it as a secret, is a clear book in the sight of Allah.

And this is preserved in the Preserved Tablet. Now, we said this is the totality of reason; whatever He created in its totality, whatever He brought into being, all of it is within this consciousness. Within this consciousness. In this case, not giving you from the roots of these consciousnesses, if He puts here a mind that can manage yourself — so, with the letters of the Holy Quran, the order of this whole universe, all these secrets, the creation, the writing of what is to come until the Last Day — there is not a single living being of which we would not know what it will do until the Last Day, as they said — in the Holy Quran being present, if this mind were in man — had it been, man would be a creator.

So then, being a servant — being a servant, being able to manage ourselves, knowing we were created, being able to grasp our duties towards our Creator: these feelings were given. Feelings of responsibility were given. Will, the ability to use our own will, was given, and in these states our responsibility towards our Lord came about. That much is our business. That much.

Why did He make it this much? And what do we do with these abilities? What does the one Allah Almighty created and left free in his will do? He builds planes, he builds missiles, what doesn't he build? He does. Won't you use that mind, He says. Use it. Use it, but you will not find creatorship in them. You will not create anything out of nothing. But you will make inventions, inventions. And with these inventions, doors of sustenance will open for future generations. In this case, the hadith of the Prophet will come true. Don't put your children into their father's profession. Put them into the new professions that emerge, he says.

Yes. There are many more secrets here. There are many topics to be explained. This much is enough.
