Translation

They are the ones who believed and attained taqwa (abstinence).

Tafsir

People who are friends of Allah are those who are adorned with taqwa. Taqwa is the avoidance of doubtful things and attention to halal and haram.

Here are the people who are friends of Allah. They know that Allah is the owner of this whole universe. They are compassionate and merciful towards Allah's creatures. They do not desire what their own souls do not desire for the servants created by Allah, nor do they desire what their own souls do not desire for the souls of the other people. They always enjoin good and try to prevent evil. They spread Allah's justice on earth and pay attention to halal and haram. They try not to pay for the reckoning that they will not be able to give in the Hereafter by their actual actions while they are living on earth. They always seek Allah's pleasure in all their actions.

What is said in the video

We have come to verse 63. Those who believe and attain taqwa, it says, taqwa. Now look, the believers, that is, these. Now, he has believed, attained taqwa. He has reformed his nafs. He has been careful about the lawful and unlawful. He has abided by Allah's verses as far as he could. Respecting people's rights and law, he has attained the quality of believer, which holds a certain rank with Allah; he has attained it. He has believed. He must believe, of course; how beautifully it says it. If you don't believe, be aware of these states as much as you like. As long as you deny Allah, or if you deny any (?) of the verses, or if you deny any of the prophets, you become an unbeliever.

Yes. They are those who believe and attain taqwa. People who are friends of Allah are people adorned with taqwa. Taqwa is avoiding doubtful things and being careful about the lawful and unlawful. They ask the Prophet. O Messenger of Allah, what is taqwa? he says. Where is it? Three times he points to his chest: taqwa, he says. Now, why does he point to his chest for taqwa? By cleansing the heart, removing from the heart the things other than Allah, placing Allah's light there, and being careful about the lawful and unlawful, a person rises to a certain rank.

So people who are friends of Allah know that the owner of this whole universe is Allah. They are compassionate and merciful towards Allah's creatures. But Hodja, you call yourself the kutb here, and now you (?) the hajjis and hodjas. When they ask how this is compassion — I stand up against the superstitious. Against the superstitious.

As long as these superstitious ones stand against the truth, I hit them on the head. I hit them on the head. When they stand against the truth. If I'm the one speaking superstition, let them hit me on the head too. I'll kiss their hand. Their hand. But they don't have this quality. Although they are superstitious, although they know I'm explaining the truth, they say exactly this. We're done for, what shall we do?

We're done for, he says, what shall we do? Why did Allah send you into the world — to know His essence? Did He send you to rebel against Allah? If you learned this knowledge for Allah, and this knowledge is not knowledge but superstition, why don't you turn back to Allah? Didn't Allah turn all sins committed into good deeds when you repent? Why do you move away from this? Why do you move away from the truth?

Then pay attention to your own nature. Superstitious one. Pay attention to your own attention and nature. If you set superstition against the truth, it hits you on the head. And if I set superstition against the truth, hit me on the head. I'll come and kiss your hand. Why will I kiss your hand? For waking me up, for preventing me from rebelling against my Lord. I am reminding you of this. If you want to prevent your rebelling against Allah — if you still persist in your stubbornness, I'll hit you on the head.

(?) It was not left to you as inheritance from your father. To turn your father's inheritance into superstition and instil it in people, Allah did not send you into the world. To abide by (?) idea and go tell people superstitions — He did not send you into the world for that. He sent you to obey His command.

So either you will obey Allah's command and come to the right path, or, if I am explaining it wrongly, you will bring me to Allah's command, to the right path. You will enjoin what is right.

Yes.

So people who are friends of Allah know that the owner of this whole universe is Allah, they know it; they are compassionate and merciful towards Allah's creatures. For the servants Allah created, what they do not desire for their own selves, they do not desire for the selves of the people before them either. Look, where is the compassion and mercy here? So, towards Allah's creatures, you will extend your hand to those in need. To those in need. You will share their troubles. If a believer cannot share the state of another believer, his faith has not matured. But if you join the faith of a believer with a falsehood, that too goes against this verse.

If I strengthen my faith with those superstitions, and with that believer's faith his faith is not strengthened, faith has not matured. This goes the wrong way. If a believer cannot share the state of a believer, faith has not matured. Who was the believer? Those who break the evils in their nafs, break the evils in their nafs and become aware of Allah's manifestations, who are careful about the lawful and unlawful, who flee from evils. So he will share the state of these. Otherwise not sharing the state with the faith of a superstitious one. God forbid. That superstitious one must break his nafs and draw near to that believer.

They always enjoin good and forbid evil. Spreading Allah's justice on earth, they are careful about the lawful and unlawful. These qualities — look, I'm writing their own qualities here anyway.

These are the qualities of events lived through. Let me read it once more from the beginning. Pay good attention to these qualities. So people who are friends of Allah know that the owner of this whole universe is Allah, they know. They are compassionate and merciful towards Allah's creatures. For the servants Allah created, what they do not desire for their own selves, for the people before them they do not desire for their selves either. They always enjoin good and try to forbid evil. Spreading Allah's justice on earth, they are careful about the lawful and unlawful. What they could not account for in the hereafter, while living on earth, with actual (?) they try not to commit. In all their conduct they always seek Allah's pleasure.

And this, in the last sentence: I have such servants that neither buying and selling nor trade (?) them from My remembrance. This. Every talk of mine, even if there are people opposite me, (?) is spoken on condition of not going beyond the counterpart of the verses.
