Translation

If your Lord (Allah) wanted, Allah could have created all mankind as one nation. (However) they will continue to fall into dispute.

Tafsir

If Allah had willed, He would have created mankind as one nation. In other words, just as He created the creatures according to the program He willed. If the created creatures act according to their duties, for example, the honey bee makes honey, the ant knows what it is going to do, and all animals are programmed to do their duties, they cannot go out of the duties they are programmed to do. Just as these animals fulfill their duties by living their characteristic according to their programmed tasks, if Allah (swt) had willed, He would have programmed us according to the tasks we would do, and we would have acted according to the tasks we were programmed for, and we would have been a single nation that could not go out of this program. However, Allah (swt), who created human beings as equal creatures, has kept them close to Himself by giving them His soul. With His creation close to His Essence, He left people alone with their will and gave them their own wills as destiny. He has created them in order to give them rewards and sins by grading them according to their actions.

It is because people are free and independent in their wills that they differed over the Books sent by Allah (swt). They will continue to disagree even more.

What is said in the video

Verse 118 of Surah Hud. Had your Lord willed, He would have made all people one single nation. Yes, now since what we have been saying all corresponds to the verses, how beautifully it confirms the religion.

How beautifully it confirms it. Had your Lord willed, He would have made all people one single nation. That means He left people free in their partial will. So that is Alast, and they made a covenant in the Lord's book. As long as they keep that closed, and brand those who enter it as fatalists, and when it goes further call it (?) and send them into deviation in religion, these people, in this case, turn out to be unaware of these verses. Had your Lord willed, He would have made all people one single nation. But they will continue to differ. People. That is, by the decisions they themselves have made, they will continue to differ. From where? Because they were left free with their own will and they disputed whether Allah is Allah.

Where? (?) and in the Lord's book. They waited for a Lord according to their own reason. Yes, in this case Allah Almighty, according to their own wishes and desires, wrote their destinies as their own will, as destiny, wrote their wills as destiny, and shaped their characters that way. Had Allah Almighty willed, He would have created people as one single nation. That is, just as He created the creatures on the program He willed, and the created creatures act according to their duties, for example as the honeybee makes honey and the ant knows the work it will do, all animals, being programmed for the duties they will carry out, cannot go outside the duties they are programmed for.

Just as these animals, (?), according to the duties they are programmed for, perform their duty, had Allah Almighty willed, He would have programmed us for the duties we would do, and we would act according to the duties we were programmed for, and could not go outside this program; we would have become one single nation, like the angels. Yes, but Allah Almighty, who created people as the noblest of creatures, giving people of His spirit, has made them those He addresses.

(?), leaving people alone with their partial will, He has given them their own wishes as destiny. Ranking them by the deeds they will do, in order to give them the matter of reward and sin He created them. So, since people are free and at liberty in their own will, they differed over the books Allah Almighty sent. And they will continue to differ even more. Because, by what they gave
