Translation

To Madyan, (We sent) their brother Jethro (Shuayb). He said; “Oh, my people! Worship Allah. For you, there is no God but Allah. Do not use measure and scale inaccurately, because I see you in goodness (and abundance). And I truly fear for you the suffering of a day which encompasses (from all sides).

Tafsir

The people of Median were also oppressors. Allah sent Shu'ayb as a Prophet to them because they were one of the transgressors. Allah does not hold anyone responsible for what He does not announce. Therefore, Allah first warns people. If people do not understand these warnings, then He gives them collective calamities.

And Allah sent the Prophet Shu'ayb to the people of Medina, who were to be destroyed, in order to prevent their evil deeds in the land. Allah knows that even if He sends a Prophet to them, they will not give up what they know. Then why does he send a Prophet to warn them?

As we have said in the above verse, Allah is exempt from imperfections (He does not hold anyone responsible for what He has not revealed.) Therefore, people will not be able to say to Allah (swt) that if you had sent us a messenger, if you had made us acquainted with your Essence, we would have followed the messenger you sent and not deviated from your Verses. Here is the world, here are the people living in the world. Even though Allah has made His Verses known to the whole world, people are still reading what they know. They never do what Allah says. Both those who live Islam and those who do not live Islam commit sin. People who are in Islam are pushing the limits of Allah. Some people outside of Islam are also subjected to calamities because they transgress Allah's limits. These are the people who wrong their own souls.

The people of Median were also a people who worshipped idols, cheated in measuring and weighing, and betrayed their trusts. Hadrat Shu'ayb (peace be upon him) warned his people about this. I see you in abundance. But your deeds are not worth the abundance and blessings you enjoy. I fear that Allah will give you an all-encompassing torment. For Allah is just. He is the best recompense for everything. If a man does a bad deed and good comes to him afterward, let him fear himself. Surely Allah, the Judge of Judges, will cause a calamity to befall that person. But if a person follows his ego and commits an evil deed, and then repents to Allah, regrets it, and promises not to do it again, Allah is All-Glorious and forgives him. Because Allah is Tawwab, the Most Accepting of repentance. Here, too, a question may come to mind. If a person usurps my right and then repents and seeks Allah's forgiveness, what about my right?

In reply we say: All creatures are servants of Allah. Allah does not care about the troubles people suffer in this world of property. Allah loves people so much that He has prepared Paradise for them in the Hereafter. In this respect, even if a person is victimized and his rights are usurped, Allah will give him rewards in return and make him happy in the Hereafter. So when a person suffers injustice in this world, he will rejoice when he is rewarded for it in the Hereafter.

So Prophet Shu'ayb warned his people, saying, "What you are doing is evil, desist from it. Do not create mischief among people by usurping their wealth. He said, "Do not turn people against yourselves.

What is said in the video

Verse 84 To Medina their brother, to Midian their brother Shu'ayb We sent, the Prophet Shu'ayb. He said: O my people, serve Allah. You have no god other than Him. Do not give short measure and weight. For I see you in goodness and abundance.

And this is the thing you do. It will take you too. Yes.

And I truly fear for you the punishment of an encompassing day, he says.

The Prophet Shu'ayb.

Moses too, when he killed a man, when he killed the Copt, goes to Midian.

The Prophet Shu'ayb and Moses probably have a kinship, they have a kinship, with the Prophet Shu'ayb. And to Allah too (?), they are among the wrongdoers. Since this people too was one of the peoples who transgressed the limits, Allah sent them Shu'ayb as a prophet. Allah Almighty holds no one responsible for what He did not make known. No one. Therefore Allah first warns people. If people don't understand from these warnings, then He gives them collective calamities. Collective. Allah Almighty,

unless they transgress the limits, unless people transgress Allah's limits, does not destroy them. What are Allah's limits? Now, Allah's limit. One, that there is no god but Allah. Two, that the prophets He sent are believed in. Three, that the prophet Allah sent and His verses are accepted by them. Four, ensuring unity and togetherness on earth. Five, not spreading immorality on earth. Six, not transgressing Allah's justice. Justice. When these come together, let destruction begin. All of them will be together.

Injustice, immorality, fraud, cheating people, denying Allah, denying the Prophet and denying Allah's verses. These are Allah's laws. The others are the sins within the laws. the others. Has man transgressed these? These are Allah's limits. When these come together and these limits are transgressed, destruction begins. Isn't there anyone transgressing these limits right now? There is. These limits have been transgressed. But He continues with calamities. Because Allah Almighty sent the Prophet (peace be upon him), alive, as a mercy to the worlds. Where there is mercy, there are no destructions.

Since he is alive and living, for the sake of the Prophet (peace be upon him) Allah Almighty lifted destructions and put calamities in their place. Yes.

The people of Midian too were among the wrongdoers. Since this people too was one of the peoples who transgressed the limits, Allah sent them Shu'ayb as a prophet. You know, Allah Almighty will not call anyone to account for what He did not make known; We, He says, to the main center of that people, of those rebels, until We send a messenger to the main center, We will not destroy it. Yes.

Allah holds no one responsible for what He did not make known. Therefore Allah first warns people. If people don't understand from these warnings, then He gives them collective calamities. So the people of Midian, who were to be destroyed — Allah's sending His prophet Shu'ayb was to prevent the evils they would do on earth. Allah knows that even if He sends them a prophet, they will not give up their (?); so why does He send a prophet and warn them? How fine. Questions that come to people's minds. As we said in the verse above, Allah is free of deficient attributes. He holds no one responsible for what He did not make known.

No one. Therefore, to Allah Almighty, people: 'If only You had sent us a messenger, if only You had made Yourself known to us, we would have followed the messenger You sent and not strayed from Your verses' — this they will not be able to say.

This is the verse I mentioned. Verse 47 of Surah Al-Qasas.

Let's see. Surah Al-Qasas, verse 47, the noble verse.

Al-Qasas 47, look what Allah Almighty says now: when, because of their own deeds, a calamity befalls them — 'Our Lord, if only You had sent us a prophet, so that we followed Your verses and were among the believers' — if they were not going to say this, We would not have sent you as a prophet, He says. We would not have sent you. So what do they say to Allah Almighty? As we said in the verses above, Allah is free of deficient attributes. He holds no one responsible for what He did not make known. Therefore, to Allah Almighty, people: 'If only You had sent us a messenger, if only You had made Yourself known to us, we would have followed the messenger You sent and not strayed from Your verses' — this they will not be able to say. That is the verse.

We write this here in spoken language. There's no need to show it to you as a verse. So the world, people living in the world: although Allah, to the whole world, has made His verses known, people still do as they please. They absolutely do not do what Allah says. Both those who live Islam and those who do not are committing sins. Sin. People who are Muslim are pushing Allah's limits.

And some peoples among those outside Islam, since they transgress Allah's limits, receive calamities. These people are people who wrong their own selves.

Yes.

The people of Midian too, who worshipped idols,

So, the people of Midian too, who worshipped idols, who did it with measure and weight — as we explained a moment ago: one shall not worship idols. One shall not transgress these, Allah's limits. In measure, that is, one shall not cheat people. It is a people who betray trusts. Shu'ayb (peace be upon him) warns his people on this matter. I see you in abundance. But the deeds you do are not worthy of the abundance and blessings you are in. That is, you are ungrateful people. In return for this grace Allah has given you, you have turned your back on Allah, still, still opposing Allah's unity and togetherness — you have become such a person, he warns.

But the deeds you do are not worthy of the abundance and blessings you are in. I fear that Allah will give you an encompassing punishment. Because Allah is just.

He is the one who gives the recompense of everything in the best way. If a person does an evil deed and afterwards some good reaches him, that person should be wary of himself.

Allah Almighty has the attribute of justice. You will do evil, and after it good will come to you? This is not possible. This is not possible. He should be wary of himself.

yes, surely, since Allah is the judge of judges, He makes a calamity befall that person; but if a person follows his nafs and does this evil deed, then repents to Allah, feels regret, and promises not to do it again, Allah is rich, He forgives the person, for Allah is Tawwab, the one who accepts repentance abundantly; here too a question like this may come to mind: let a person usurp my right, then repent, (?). Then what will become of my right? This comes to mind like this. So, usurp rights, usurp, usurp. And then say, Allah will forgive me. Now, before reading this part, let us first open it up for you from the angle of attention.

In the first case, long hope is shirk. Long hope is shirk. You have no proof in hand that you will still be alive a moment later. When you cheat Ahmet and Mehmet and say 'I'll repent later', by what did you guarantee your life this long? By which proof did you guarantee it? That's one. Second: when you cheat these people, even if your life suffices for it, your desire for the blessings of this world increases. With the (?) Satan gives you, you are stingy toward the world, and will that repentance be granted to you at all?

Yes. This can be opened up in many ways. In the answer we say, it says, all created beings are Allah's servants. Allah does not look at the hardships people suffer in this great world. Because Allah loves people very much, He has prepared His Paradise in the Hereafter for people. Therefore, to the wronged person whose right was usurped, Allah, in return, will give rewards and please that servant too in the Hereafter. In the Hereafter. Here, once, from many sides — for example, I cheated Ahmet and Mehmet, and truly my repentance, repentance was granted to me too.

I don't know whom I owe how much. I got up and went on Hajj. In Hajj, too, there is Allah's promise. You are as if newly born from your mother, it says. Well then, I became as if newly born from my mother. What will become of this right owed to people?

Here. If this person went in a good state (?), and Allah Almighty also gave him the station of intercession, since he will intercede for from seven to seventy people, in the verse Allah Almighty says, on the faces of such people neither sorrow nor a stain will settle, He says. What is the stain? I cheated Ahmet and Mehmet. Did it become a stain? But then I repented. Repentance was granted to me as well. I joined the ranks of the Muslims too. I did not leave Allah's (?). What will I do? Allah Almighty doesn't take from my sin either. He gives to him until he is pleased with me. That person says, 'I wish he had cheated me a bit more, so that I would have attained higher stations.' The stain is lifted from him.

And what is sorrow? His loved ones — Ahmet, Mehmet, his uncles, his aunt — went as Muslims and will enter Hell. But Muslims. For the non-Muslim, when mercy is lifted there, no one will intercede. That's what he grieves over. Since Allah Almighty gave him the right of intercession: take your loved ones from here, He says. This is the mercy — ninety-nine percent of our Lord's mercy — that He kept for Himself to judge His servants in the Hereafter.

This person could not join the ranks of the believers, but he repented, and to no one could he pay his debt. Well, Allah is the possessor of justice; will He let the right go in this? No. What will He do? If that person continued in his faithfulness, Allah Almighty will give to those people too from His own Self. If not, if that man swerved right and left, this time He will take his sin, his rewards and give them to these people. As a sinner, if they have no rewards left, he will bear their sins; by Allah's justice it will again find its place. Well, even if he will not stay in Hell forever, he will pay for his crime.

That is, here is Allah's justice. We can't find the chance to write it all out. It would become something like camels. We passed over it briefly here. Yes.

When a person sees in the Hereafter the recompense for the injustices he suffered in the world, he will rejoice greatly. The Prophet Shu'ayb warns his people. What you do are evil deeds. Give them up. By usurping people's property, do not stir up corruption among people, do not make people your enemies, he said. Yes. Because when a person cheats people, when he usurps their right, a person involuntarily becomes hostile to the other, and this harms Allah Almighty's unity and togetherness. You know, Islam is brotherhood; if there is a Muslim at one end of the world and a Muslim at the other end, they are brothers, He says.

So Allah Almighty, within the unity and togetherness of these worlds, for (?) has laid down His laws. And in His laws, so that people can live in unity and togetherness, they are to respect each other's rights and laws, behave respectfully to each other, and live in unity and togetherness. Those who disrupt this order are guilty in the sight of Allah Almighty. Yes.
