Translation

Allah is the One who has made the sun luminous and the moon lightful and who has determined for it (the moon) stages so that you know the number of years and its calculation. Allah has created these only according to truth (wisdom). Clear verses (for the whole of mankind and) for those who believe in the truth.

Tafsir

In this verse, Allah (swt) again encourages people to contemplate and think. He explains that He is endowed with knowledge and how the universe was created with knowledge. As knowledge is found, it is seen how Allah's Verses are miracles and how they address time and knowledge. By making His presence manifest among us, Allah makes His breath felt on our necks, so to speak.

That the sun is an atomic energy, that it sends these atomic shafts to the earth with its explosions, that it filters the harmful substances in the atoms in the ozone layer of the air, that it explodes where it hits the earth, that it heats the earth, and that at the same time the atomic energy that is lacking in the sun preserves its mass by producing itself again. If the sun's atomic fragments were diminished and new ones did not replenish themselves, the earth, which is at a certain distance from the sun, would be covered with glaciers and there would be no life on earth. Similarly, if the sun's mass had increased too much while the sun's rays were completing themselves, the earth would have been scorched by the heat and there would be no life on earth. The fact that the Creator of these things has made the sun bright and the moon bright tells people with knowledge that the moon benefits from the sunlight. He declares that He gives life to all creation with His attribute of life, and that all creation comes to life with Allah and benefits from Him, and that Allah gives life to His creatures until a certain time, that is, until the end of their lives, and that He watches all creation as if in front of a camera, and that there is nothing that He does not see and hear, and that there is nothing that He does not know, and that He is omnipotent and sovereign over His creatures.

When he says that he placed ranges on the moon, he means that he placed the lunar months in the sky with the rotation of the moon around the sun, and that their number is twelve. By informing people of the calendar and the times, He is again informing them that He is the Creator of these things and that He has created them based on a truth and wisdom by introducing His Essence to people.

The meaning of truth in this verse is: He created with a wisdom, saying that the created things are not made up, and that they were created with consciousness and knowledge, and that they will neither approach nor move away from each other until the Day of Resurrection; and here the meaning of wisdom is: Wisdom is reserved for the Essence of Allah. Allah knows the wisdom of all creation. However, it is a wisdom that Allah created the sun, the moon and the earth system to enable people to live on earth and to give them life and to prove Allah's existence. It is a wisdom that He informs people of their times. What more wisdom there is in all this is beyond Allah.

When He created this system, the wisdom of what the beings who will live in the world were created for and for what purpose, this is also Allah. As a result of the examinations made on the creatures, it is seen that the creature is skillfully working its skill and performing its art according to the duty for which it was created. This shows that He was created by Allah, our one and only Lord, with knowledge and that He put the symbol of Allah on every particle He created, and that He created His creations with a wisdom by proving to people that His Essence exists.

(They are) clear Verses for all mankind and for those who believe in the truth. The people who do not understand do not understand. A man who is asleep cannot see what is happening around him. But a people who know and perceive, a people who believe in the revelation of Allah, who are judged by the truth, who look around them, see the proof of Allah's existence. This is how He reveals His Verses to mankind, in order to increase the faith of those who believe, to make them realize that they are not alone, that they are under the mercy of their Lord, that their refuge is secure, and that their hearts are alive with trust in Allah.

What is said in the video

He who made the sun radiant,

and the moon bright,

so that you may know the number of years and the reckoning, for it, that is, for the moon, determined stations, is He. Stations.

He created these only on the basis of a truth and wisdom. He explains His verses to a people who know. To a people who know. Yes. Who is this people who know? Those who can comprehend Allah. Not the one who merely lets it seep into his head. To comprehend means: there is a Creator who created these worlds. Being able to comprehend that we are His servants, created by that Creator. And who can submit to Allah with a heart at peace, such people. Yes. Allah Almighty, the moon, sunny, radiant, I mean, made the sun radiant, and the moon bright, He says.

When the sun rotates on its own axis, 360 degrees, from right, left, above, below, from latitudes and longitudes, a sphere radiating light completely. A sphere radiating light completely. That is why He says He made the sun radiant. It has no dark spot. The sun has no dark spot. It is a light in the middle, radiating in every direction, a light. That is, made of atomic rays, and with the explosion of these atomic rays, these atomic rays that reach our world, at the places where they explode, produce heat and thereby both light up the world and warm it. Now He says, and the moon bright. The moon both revolves around the sun's axis and rotates on its own axis.

So when He says He made the moon bright, it has its night and day. The world too has night and day. Yes. Because the world too rotates on its own axis. At the same time it revolves around the sun. With its revolution it completes this in 365 days and 6 hours. If we divide 365 days and 6 hours into 30 or 31 days, 12 months come out. Within these twelve months the world (?). While rotating on its own axis, while revolving around the sun, while turning on its axis, the coming of the seasons: that is His setting station after station. Bringing about the zodiac signs. These signs representing the months.

What knowledge! He created all of it with knowledge. Yes. He is the one who determined a number of stations for the moon. Allah created these only on the basis of a truth and wisdom. A truth. What is this truth?

Allah Almighty, who willed that His Essence be known, was going to send mankind into the world. For this He created these worlds. And when He created these worlds, He created them very sound and firm. Because Allah Almighty says He creates what He creates firmly. He creates soundly. So He created these worlds so beautifully and so precisely, with such a millimetric calculation, that the world, over millions of years, rotating on its own axis, turns neither a centimeter back nor a centimeter (?) in twenty-four hours.

But now, of course, it has started (?) turning. Because Allah Almighty says, you will bring about the Last Day with your own hands. And indeed, with our own hands: people living outside Allah's command, spreading foul odors without washing, removing these odors with perfume, this perfume piercing the ozone layer, the sun's ultraviolet rays in the southern (?) erasing the (?), the (?) in the southern (?) staying constant while the strong (?) diminished, so the world's rotation on its own axis began to slow down. Yes. We are bringing it about with our own hands.

He did these based on a truth. That is, Allah Almighty is addressing people here. O people, with the reason I gave you, you should have known Me. But you increased your attachment to the world, you forgot your Lord. Remind them of the days with your Lord, He says. To His Beloved He says: remind them of the days with your Lord. Which days? The address Elestü bi Rabbiküm. Remind them of that. Yet they covered up this verse. People have become poor souls who have no idea what the covenant is. Yes. So He says: O man, back then, the state when I said to you "I am your Lord", remember it. If I sent you into the world, look how beautifully I remind you of My Essence in the world, He says.

How beautifully. With what? Use your mind a little, He says; look, I placed the sun, moon and earth, the lunar system, in the sky, He says. I did this based on a truth, He says. It is not possible for these to come about by themselves. So since this was created by a Creator, at least a little, use your mind, and submit to that Creator and know your Creator as Lord, He says. I did it based on a truth. You too, comprehend that truth, He says. You have a mind, He says. But if this mind shows you the truth and, because of your nafs, you turn your back on this truth, if you rebel, then they, like a bankrupt merchant, in the hereafter accept as a bed the hell He calls "what an evil place of return".

Yes.

So He says, He explains His verses to a people who know. Who is a people who know? Those who use their minds and say the testimony of faith. Eşhedü en lâ ilâhe illallah: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah. And you said, ve eşhedü enne Muhammeden abdühü ve resulühü: Muhammad is the servant and Messenger of Allah Almighty, you said. With your tongue the affirmation, and with your heart you confirmed it. You became a people who understand the truth. You became a people who understand the truth. To these we explain Our verses, He says. Why? He was explaining all of His verses. To a people who know, He says.

He explains His verses. To a people who know. Since the others are in denial, only My verses My servants who obey Me know, He says. They understand.

What was it He says? Only My servants who know Me obey Me, He says. Is there a verse for this too, Hodja? There is one saying it like this.

These, it says, are blind to Allah's verses, their ears are stopped and their hearts are sealed. They do not understand those verses. How beautiful. The verses always support one another like this, yes. In this verse, Allah Almighty again leads people to reflection and thought, and explains that His Essence (?) with knowledge and how the universe was created with knowledge; as knowledge is found, it is seen that Allah's verses are a miracle and how the verses address time and knowledge. Allah, manifesting His existence openly among us, and no comparison is a fault, as if makes us feel His breath on our necks.

Allah Almighty. As if, it says, He makes us feel His breath on our necks. As I said earlier too: among us outwardly manifest, to the unseeing eye hidden, it says. To the unseeing eye. That is, to those who turned their backs on Him, who cannot comprehend, those without comprehension, who do not use their minds, it is closed, it says.

His saying He made the sun radiant means that the sun is atomic energy, sending these atomic rays to the earth with its explosions, the harmful substances in the atom being filtered in the ozone layer of the air, and where they strike the earth, the atom particles exploding and warming the earth's surface. At the same time, the atomic energy lost in the sun regenerates itself and preserves its mass. If the sun's atomic particles diminished and new ones did not take their place, the world, which is at a certain distance from the sun, would be covered in ice.

Yes.

On earth, in that case, no life would remain. And if, while replenishing its sunlight, its mass increased too much, conversely, this time the world would be scorched by heat. Again there would be no life on earth. So His saying, He who created these, who made the sun radiant, that the moon is bright, explains to people with knowledge that the moon draws on the sunlight. That with His attribute al-Hayy He gives life to all beings, for Hayy means the One who gives life to His creations yet is free of His creations. And it states that all creations find life through Allah and benefit from Him, that Allah gives His creations life up to a certain time, that is, until the end of their lives, that He watches all creations as if in front of a camera, and that there is nothing He does not see and hear and also does not know, and that He has power over His creations and holds them under His rule.

His saying He set stations for the moon states that, through the moon revolving around the sun, He placed the lunar months in the sky, and that their number is 12. Making their times known to people through the calendar also states that these have a Creator and that, introducing His Essence to people, He created these on the basis of a truth and wisdom; this is what it states.

The meaning truly intended in this verse is that the creations were not created (?), and that they were created consciously and with knowledge, and, stating that until the Last Day they neither come closer to nor move away from one another, His saying "to a wisdom", "He created with wisdom": what is meant by wisdom here, the wisdom is particular to Allah's Essence. Allah knows the wisdom of all creations. However, that, in a way that enables people to live on earth and gives them life, the system of sun, moon and earth He created proves Allah's existence is a wisdom. Making their times known to people is a wisdom.

What other wisdoms are there in these? That is known to Allah. Yes. Wisdom is knowing the secrets in it. Why is something created? Why was it created? He created it on the basis of a wisdom. That is, it has a duty. I know that duty, you do not, He says. Yes.

Now we exist in great ignorance before our Lord.

A person who has never seen a hammer or nail comes to a carpenter. If the carpenter, with hammer and nail, sets out to make us a side table, a man who has never seen a hammer, nail or wood, just assume so.

He says, what is he doing? He does not know the wisdom in it. (?) That carpenter, with that hammer, nail and wood, is making a table. We are just like this. We know what Allah Almighty created, but we cannot know with what wisdom He created it. Its wisdom is known to Allah. We know only as much as our knowledge reaches.

(?) Was it understood? Yes.

In this

noble verse, the meaning truly intended is that the creations are not (?). We have probably read this part. Wisdoms are particular to Allah's Essence. Allah knows the wisdom of all creations. However, that, in a way that enables people to live on earth and gives them life, Allah created the system of sun, moon and earth, proving His existence, is a wisdom. Making their times known to people is a wisdom. What other wisdoms are there in these? That is known to Allah.

When He created this system, for what and with what purpose the beings who would live in the world were created, that wisdom too is known to Allah. For example, He made the sun radiant. Is it only that the sun warms the world, I mean, did He create it just for warming? There are three things without which a person cannot sustain his life. Sun, air and water. Without these he cannot sustain his life. By what wisdom did He create these? He created the body as a machine, a machine. When I buy a car, I put gasoline in it and it runs. Allah Almighty, without gasoline, by burning the oxygen in the air in our lungs, turns it into energy and keeps us alive like this, gives us life.

So that too was created from a wisdom, in oxygen, in the air. Water, in turn, is the body's need. He says He created all living things from water. And the sun is a piece of light that gives life to all creatures, to plants, to everything here and there. An atomic piece. Today you cannot grow a plant in a dark place. That is why it needs the sun. It takes its nourishment from that sun. Look at forests. Dense forests. How it goes straight up toward the sky like that, to see the sun? To see the sun, how they grow tall like that between those trees? All of it was created based on a wisdom.

Is there a mind (?) in that plant? It too takes its nourishment from the soil, converts it to itself, into its own essence, and at the same time tries to rise toward the sun (?).

The wisdom in it, how it was created, Allah knows. Yes.

(?) Those versed in knowledge, as a result of studies on creations, see that those creatures skillfully work the art within them, performing their craft according to the duty for which they were created. This shows that they were created with knowledge by Allah, our one Lord, and that on every particle He created He stamped the sign of Allah, and that, proving to people that His Essence exists, He created His creations with a wisdom.

All creations, the heavens and the earth and what lies between them, have known their Lord's remembrance, according to the verse, and even if I do not know it, my body remembers my Lord. because, it says, the heavens and the earth and what lies between them have known their Lord's remembrance; just as atomic particles were placed in the genes of this body, plus and minus electrons and protons were placed, by their rotating on their own axes a sound is produced; even if we do not hear the sound, it remembers Allah; a certain remembrance Allah Almighty has inscribed in it; then they produce a frequency. Because when minus and plus poles rotate on their own axes, they produce a frequency.

Just as countless fingerprints do not match one another, every human body too being created within countless frequencies, and Allah Almighty, within those frequencies, to His saintly servants by inspiration, making known to their hearts the meanings of the verses, making known His verses to His prophets' hearts by revelation.

snowflakes or raindrops coming out densely, squeezed between the clouds, without touching one another, so many billions, trillions of rain drops, snow drops, without colliding, pushing each other away or drawing near, descending to the earth.

Yes. How else is Allah Almighty to prove His Essence? How much more is He to make you feel His breath on your neck?

He explains His verses to a people who know. A people who do not understand will not understand anyway. A sleeping person cannot see the events happening around him. But a people who know and sense, who believe in Allah's oneness, who are governed by realities, people who observe their surroundings, that is, awake people. Who are they? (?) do not be with the dead, He says. With the dead. Not the dead in the grave. People whose hearts have (?), who have not found life. These are the dead. These are the living dead.

Yes.

They see the proof of Allah's existence. Increasing the believers' faith, that they are not alone, that they are under their Lord's mercy, and that their refuge is firm, to make their hearts rejoice and come alive through their trust in Allah, thus Allah Almighty explains His verses to people.
