Verily, for a nation that abstains (from denying Allah), there are many proofs in the alternation of night and day and in the things that Allah has created in the heavens and the earth.
Tafsir
Allah (swt) proves that the sun, earth and moon systems He created in the heavens were created by Himself by mentioning their movements. (In what Allah has created in the heavens and the earth), there are signs for a people who understand that there is a wisdom in all the stars in the heavens, the number of which is Allah, the Almighty, and that these stars are given certain names among people, and that shepherds and sailors navigate by these stars at night according to these names, and that the beings created on the earth are given to the command of people, and that they all serve in a different service.
He declares that there are many proofs for people who avoid Allah and disbelieve in Him. This means that people turn away from Allah (swt) even though Allah (swt) has publicly declared His existence, and that such people, out of hatred and arrogance towards Allah (swt), do not follow the path indicated by their intellect, but satisfy themselves in the path indicated by their ego and Satan,
This world is ephemeral and temporary. Every human being is a traveler on a series of adventures from the moment he or she is created in the spirit world until he or she goes back to peace of God. The parts of this journey are; the creation of our souls in the realm of lahut, then making a covenant with Allah in Kalubelâ, being lifted to the realm of Berzah, the soul coming to the realm of property when its time has come, the souls of people who have completed their lifetime and passed on to the hereafter, going back to the realm of Berzah and the bodies rotting in the graves, the breaking of the Day of Judgment, the creation of the bodies again to be witnesses against the soul, the establishment of the Court-i Kübran, giving an account in the presence of Allah, and finally, when the journey is over, sending everyone to their rightful place.
Here, O human being! Do not forget Allah by forgetting this journey and aspiring for this mortal realm, which is a guest house. Use your intellect so that you are not cruel to your ego! Judge with the truth, so that you do not spend your life in vain with falsehood. While you have the opportunity in the world, send your provisions to the Hereafter so that you will not be hungry and naked there. Try to be a servant of Allah so that you will not be deprived of His mercy. Pay heed to what has been said so that you will not be one of the losers by turning your back on it. Then you will be like a bankrupt shopkeeper, whose trade is not profitable. In the Hereafter, you will be one of those who pity yourself among the bankrupt.
What is said in the video
In the alternation of night and day, their lengthening and shortening, in what Allah created in the heavens and on earth, there are surely many proofs for a people who guard against denying Him, He says. Many proofs in the heavens and on earth, there are many proofs.
Every moment, every moment,
if a person sinks into reflection, when he lifts his head to the heavens like this: so many galaxies, so many stars keeping their same places without colliding with one another, the pole star keeping its place,
stars like the Great Bear, the Little Bear, the inverted chair, by which people find their way, adorning the sky, guiding with a wisdom those who travel in the darkness of night, guiding, on the seas, those who sail in the dark, those captains, the lunar system: the sun, the moon and the earth, our nearest planet, when we look like this from the world at the sun and moon, that He placed them in the sky with a wisdom, we see these, I mean. For a people with reason, what does He say? There are surely many proofs. These, He says, are not created in vain. Allah creates nothing in vain. He creates nothing pointless.
He creates His creations in people's favor and holds a light before them. Yes. Allah Almighty, speaking of the movements of the sun, earth and moon system He created with the heavens, proves that these were created by His Essence. It declares that the world rotates on its own axis in 24 hours, that with this rotation the days and also night and day come about, and that with the world revolving around the sun the seasons, months and years come about.
His saying "in what Allah created in the heavens and on earth": that in so many stars in the heavens, whose number is known to Allah, there is a wisdom. That some names were given to these stars among people, and by them at night shepherds and sailors determine their way with these stars, that the beings created on earth were placed at people's command, each one in a separate service: for a people who see this and understand, there are lessons. What is this lesson? What is the purpose of a lesson? Someone does a job, and one takes a lesson from it. Ah, he did this, did the workmanship, one says, that is why it turned out this way, one says.
Or he does a good job: ah, look, how nicely one takes a lesson from it, what a good job he did, one says. Likewise, we must take a lesson from the One who created these worlds. In the order of this universe, created beyond human power, which human strength cannot reach, before this power Allah created, we must take lessons from our Lord. We must take lessons from His creations. And before these lessons, without any evasion, the proof that Allah exists, as surely as we see ourselves, we need to seal in our own hearts; we must. Yes, Allah exists. There is a Creator. It is not possible for anything, out of nowhere, in this order and harmony, in such a fine mechanism, to have been created.
You made a robot, a robot. If you do not program it, that robot does not work according to a program.
You made a mouse. A mouse. You programmed it. Programmed, it works. So there is someone who made it. It did not program this by itself. There is someone who had it programmed. So if in these worlds too things are programmed, if these worlds are programmed with a program, there is an Allah who created them. There is an Owner. Allah Almighty, in a way every person will understand, every person will understand, lines up His verses so beautifully. Yes. And proves His existence so beautifully. With what? All these galaxies, not made by human hands, the seven layers of heaven and the order within them: by appealing to people's minds, inviting them to reflection, He proves in those people's own consciences, through sound reason, that these have a Creator.
His proving it. Yes.
So, that for people who guard against denying Him and fear Allah there are many proofs, He declares, it says. Many proofs. Accordingly, even though Allah openly declares His existence, people turning their faces from Allah Almighty, such people, out of their resentment and arrogance toward Allah Almighty, not entering the path their minds show, satisfying themselves on the path shown by their nafs and Satan, turning their backs on so many miracles in this transient world; for people who do not want to see, a little while of benefit on earth, and this little while of benefit too: Allah Almighty's mercy is for everyone in the universe. In the hereafter, only for the believer.
So, if this world is the likeness and shadow of the hereafter, here, for a transient time, Allah Almighty, without discriminating among His servants, with His justice, though He shares even the earth equally among people, so that every person proves what kind of person he is, gives them, without ever doing injustice among His servants, their provision. Yes. What does the verse say? Did you think you would die without proving what kind of person you are? He says. Since He says that in the material world His mercy is for everyone in the universe, His mercy. In that case, had He made one distinction for the Muslim and another for the non-Muslim, Allah Almighty would be (?). The non-Muslim would have said: with the blessings You gave him, he found the moment to remember You abundantly.
He found the time to worship. Had You brought me to their level too, I too would have worshipped You like them. Would he say that? He would. So Allah Almighty, on earth, not discriminating among His servants, (?), gives each of them their provision. Everyone, at the address Elestü bi Rabbiküm. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Ve iz ehaze Rabbüke min benî Âdeme min zuhûrihim zürriyyetehüm ve eşhedehüm alâ enfüsihim elestü bi Rabbiküm, as He said. With those who would emerge from the offspring of the children of Adam, We made a covenant, when He said: (?) We are your Lord, We said.
All (?), coming from one another, three classes, He says.
O (?), glad tidings to you.
O (?), woe to you, He says.
A third group, the group of the foremost. The saints, the prophets, the martyrs, the (?), all of them. Their being separated there, and then each making a covenant with Allah Almighty one by one. When they removed this covenant, people do not know what the covenant is. That partial free will is upon man and that with the deeds he does by his own will he earns reward and sin; however people did it, by making changes to the verses, changing their translations, so that Allah puts whom He wills into His paradise and whom He wills into hell, removing will from people (?), and making Allah exercise His own will over people.
In that case, people knowing that, because of their faith and according to their own minds, they will get reward and sin for what they did. But over time, through such events, people took Allah lightly, and so today's situation came about.
In the face of so many (?), those who deny Allah, against their own selves their wrongdoing.
Allah Almighty, on the Day of Resurrection, before we even came into the world, when He made a covenant with our spirits in the realm of lahut, raised them to the barzakh and sends down the spirit whose time has come to the world, to the earth. As for them, what kind of persons they are: because the wishes they desired from Allah Almighty He inscribed in them as character, in this whole world, according to people's wishes and desires at any moment, according to the deeds people will perform, Allah Almighty creating causes, and with those causes all these people, through their own deeds, proving what kind of persons they are; Allah's attribute of Godhood, our mind of course (?) Him.
Of His greatness. Yes.
So this world is perishable and transient. If this world is the likeness and shadow of the hereafter, if every soul shall taste death, here we are a traveler in a guesthouse, a traveler. Surely this traveler, this journey, will have an end. Yes. Every person, since he was created in the realm of spirits, until he goes again to the divine presence, is the traveler of a series of adventures. A series of adventures. Our Lord created the people He willed from His spirit. Then He made a covenant with them. Then He raised them to the barzakh. Then He sent down to the world the spirit whose time had come.
Why did He send it down? This is important. As we always explain, let us repeat this too. When Allah Almighty willed that His Essence be known, from His light the light of Muhammad He created. Then He gave him of His spirit. From that spirit He created the spirits of the prophets. And from the spirits of the prophets He created the spirits of the peoples. In that case, if humans were created honored above the worlds, it is because only in humans is there a spirit. But those who do not know this assign a spirit to cats, dogs, creatures, plants too, Allah protect us. Those who do not know this also call the spirit Gabriel, whereas about Gabriel Allah Almighty, in Surah Al-Baqarah, probably in verse 92, says: and with Mika, and with Cibri, and with Jesus. Since Allah Almighty's word rests on letters, if He says Cibri (?), and calls the spirit spirit, then the spirit is one thing and Gabriel another.
In that case, because they called the spirit Gabriel, Gabriel. They removed Gabriel (?) from Allah's glorious point. They tied it to Gabriel. For example, He says, the Sidra, (?) what covered it was covering it. Gabriel, they say. When he said: O Gabriel, if I went an ant's length further at Sidrat al-Muntaha, I would burn, how does he cover this Sidra, and (?), they say. Gabriel, they say. Allah, Allah. God forbid, I seek Allah's forgiveness. Then He revealed to His servant what He revealed, it says. Well, revelation is the verses that Allah Almighty, who is beyond time and space, gives to His prophet, who is within time and space, into his heart by way of communication.
So did Gabriel, despite being within time and space, go outside time and space and reveal to the Prophet? Allah protect us. All the verses were interpreted like this. These are copies of one another.
So this world is perishable and transient. Every person, since being created in the realm of spirits, until he goes again to the divine presence, it says, is the traveler of a series of adventures. Yes. What did we say this journey is? We were created in the realm of lahut. Then we made the covenant. Then we were raised to the barzakh. The one whose time has come comes into the world. When he comes into the world, he lives. Having proven what kind of person he is, he goes back to the barzakh. Then the Last Day will come. Then the earths, it says, another earth. When the sky has become another sky, when the world too, it says, is brought forth completely flat, (?), it says.
(?). There people will sprout like grass. When you come into My presence with a driver: what is this driver? The meeting of spirits with bodies. There the bodies bear witness against our spirits, and, according to the verse about tasting no death other than the first death, the first death is: spirit, nafs and life being one, living in the body; since in this world, when the body dies, there is no death of the spirit, tasting death; in the hereafter, when you come into My presence with a driver, it says, spirit and body face each other, the body bears witness against the spirit, then, after the testimony ends, you, it says, are returned to the One who first created, it says. There the body dies a second time.
The body created from soil is soil. Spirit, nafs and life remain together.
There we will be resurrected again, before our Lord we will appear. That day, it says, that day judgment belongs to Allah alone, according to the verse that says so; Allah Almighty, who is Eleysallâhu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, will judge between us. On this day, to no one, it says, will injustice be done; everyone, as the recompense of what he earned with his own (?), will be paid in full, it says. So, with Allah Almighty, for the deeds people did in the world, with the rewards and sins they received in return, to the places they deserve they will be sent. So we are journeying in a series, an adventure, a sequence of adventures. Our journey is not over yet.
After life, before us is a burial place. The place where the bodies wait. Before us is a grave, the place where the spirits wait. Then the coming of the Last Day, bodies and spirits meeting again. Then, after giving account in Allah Almighty's presence, then the journey comes to an end. The true places become clear. Either we will return as a merchant who went bankrupt in the world, or, as a merchant who profited, we will return to the hereafter as a servant our Lord wants. We wish that all people, as Allah's servants, His creations, know their return to Allah and accordingly, in the world, not worship any being other than Allah, and as servants of Allah to Allah return, we want this, but no one can change anyone's destiny.
There is a book with Us, it says, to which afterwards neither addition nor reduction is made. It is preserved in the Preserved Tablet, it says. So, according to the verse "If We do not will, you cannot will", what is it we cannot will? Even if we will it, we are not able to change our own destiny. Each of us, in the hereafter, at the address Elestü bi Rabbiküm, from Allah Almighty, with desire and wish, whatever wish we had, asked for that wish. Those wishes settled in us as characters, and we, in the service of those characters, with desires and wishes; Allah Almighty creates attributes for us, and with those deeds we earn reward and sin. This we are not able to change.
If We do not will, you cannot will. This, it says, is reserved for Me alone: changing it. Changing those characters or that destiny is reserved for Me. But there is a book with Us, it says, to which afterwards neither addition nor reduction is made. That is, everything has been written down. Since Allah Almighty will not change anything in them again, every person will prove what kind of person he is in this world, and when that time is up, for Allah Almighty says in His verse again: Did you think you would die without proving what kind of person you are? He says. In that case, every person, in his life, according to the destiny in his life, after proving himself, will surely set out on that journey of our return to Allah.
Yes.
We continue with the rest of the verse.
Coming into the material world; the spirits of people who complete their lives and pass to the hereafter going back (?) to the realm of barzakh, and the corpses rotting in the graves, the Last Day coming, their being created again so that the corpses are held as witnesses against the spirit, for in the human body there is a cell that does not die. We resurrect you down to your fingertips, it says. That is, since the fingerprints of the millions of people who come do not match one another, since He says We will resurrect you together down to your fingertips, every seed, its own cell, its own frequency, including the fingerprints within that frequency, coming out again as the same being, as a body.
Yes. After that, sir, the setting up of the supreme court, giving account in Allah's presence, and finally, when the journey ends, everyone being sent to the place he deserves. So, O man, by forgetting this journey and longing for this perishable world, which is a guesthouse, do not forget Allah. Use your mind so that you do not wrong your own self. Be governed by the truth so that you do not waste your life with falsehood. While the chance is in your hand in this world, send your provisions to the hereafter, so that there you are not left hungry and naked. Try to be a servant to Allah, so that you are not deprived of His mercy.
Listen to what is said, so that you are not among those who, turning their backs on these words, come to loss. Then you fall into the state of a merchant who (?) the trade and went bankrupt. In the hereafter, among those who went bankrupt, you will be one of those who wronged themselves. Yes.
