Al-Ma'idah 46: We sent Jesus, the son of Mary, on the path of Prophets before him, to confirm the Torah (Old Testament) and to guide the believers (to the right path) and to remove them from the darkness. Translation

We sent Jesus, the son of Mary, on the path of Prophets before him, to confirm the Torah (Old Testament) and to guide the believers (to the right path) and to remove them from the darkness. And, We gave him the Bible (New Testament) which confirms the Torah before it, and which is a guidance (to the Truth) and an enlightenment (Nur - divine light) and an admonishment for the Muttaqi (who abstain from sins).

Tafsir

Jesus came as a Prophet to mankind, following in the footsteps of the Prophets, with the Gospel, a Book of light, confirming the Prophets who had come before him and showing the truth and righteousness in it. The last Prophet sent from the tribe of Israel was Jesus the son of Mary.

Allah (swt) says (on the footsteps of the Prophets); Like the beam of light coming out of a lamp, just as the other Prophets conveyed the truth, in the same way as the other Prophets conveyed the truth, they conveyed the commandments of Allah to the people by conveying the truth in the same way. The verse (having light in it), in the first sense, is a source of light and guidance for people, as the Verses of Allah show the truth and the right, and educate people. In the second sense, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who will come as a mercy and light to the worlds after Jesus Christ, is meant and his coming is heralded with a description of his description.

Allah (swt) sends His Verses as a guidance and admonition to those who abstain, the owners of piety. Whoever judges by the Verses of Allah, they will be among the righteous.

What is said in the video

May Allah be pleased with you, my child. Confirming the Torah that came before him, in the footsteps of the prophets, that is, (?) behind them, to him, the first created ones, whom Allah Almighty told: I too have been a witness to you — because there is no other created being. However many He would send. I too am witness to you. My witness suffices for you, He says. Yes. On top of that, We sent Jesus son of Mary after them. Now look at the verse. Jesus son of Mary, it says. Whereas children are named after the father, it says.

This is the verse. This is a word of Allah. If it were a human word, you would find in it many words that contradict one another, it says. Now here there is no father. Named after the father. There is no father. Who is there? The mother is. The mother. Something like this may come to mind. If one is named after the father, then is Mary — God forbid — Allah's wife, such a question may come to our mind. In response, look what Allah Almighty says. I am free of need for child and family. That is, I am free. I am free of every kind of deficiency. So Allah Almighty manifests His attribute of being God.

What was Allah Almighty's attribute of being God? No one will be able to question Him. Like what? Like what? No one will be able to say: my God, could this be like that? Allah Almighty will have made manifest every question that comes to mind. Could a person be created without a father? When one says that — here is one created without a father, a person. Who is this? Jesus. So if he was created in the universe of spirits, (?), in the realm of Lahut, if he was raised to the realm of (?) — thank you.

Yes.

If he was raised to the realm of (?), now look at the beauty of the verse. What does it say? Confirming the Torah that came before him, in the footsteps of the prophets, that is, in the footsteps of those prophets, further, with Allah Almighty he makes a covenant and is raised to (?). When the time comes, just as those prophets were sent, in that way he is sent, in their footsteps. Yes. We sent Jesus son of Mary after them, it says.

It does not say I sent him as My son — God forbid, Allah forbid. Yes. And to him, containing guidance to the truth and light, the Torah before it confirming, as guidance and admonition for those who are mindful, We gave the Gospel, it says. As an admonition We gave the Gospel, it says.

If people know the translations of the verses, their meanings, in the middle of the ocean of Allah's word they are swept into a (?). Ocean-like words, flawless, meaning, spiritual, sir.

A magnificent word. All the verses are magnificent anyway. A magnificent word against those unbelievers who say Jesus is the son of Allah. Confirming the Torah that came before him. In the footsteps of the prophets. We sent Jesus son of Mary after them, and to him, containing confirming — containing guidance to the truth and light, confirming the Torah before it, for those who are mindful as guidance and admonition, We gave the Gospel, it says. Yes.

Jesus, confirming the prophets given to him, and with the Gospel, a book of lights in which the right and the truth will be shown, in the footsteps of the prophets, came to people as a prophet. Among the people of the Children of Israel, as the last prophet, Jesus son of Mary was sent. Because we write all of it for the general public, so that it is understood well, we write it this concisely. And we too — Allah has granted it to you, you listen to me. Here, by opening up the verses for you in more detail, we attain the capacity to grasp them better, God willing. That is my understanding. Maybe I want to feel it this way, want to grasp it this way, and that's why I say so, I don't know.

But my guess is that when the verses are opened up, we understand them better, God willing. Allah Almighty saying in the footsteps of the prophets means: like a beam of light coming from the same lamp, just as the other prophets conveyed the truth, his duty in the same way, as a conveyer of the truth, is to make Allah's commands known to people. Yes. At a certain point in time, at one time, a slander befalls us. Sir, us they take straight into custody, they take us into custody.

We are reactionaries. Reactionaries. Of course, by the standards of the state administration of that time, we are reactionaries. Of those running the state then — this homeland's own children, because of their culture, because of the religion of Islam, at a time governed by (?) those expelled from the army, they take us into custody as reactionaries. The next day we appear before the judge. From there, without any questioning, when they send you into custody at the State Security Court, 3 months without questioning you are jailed. The judge says to us: you are giving sermons, he says. He said to us — we don't give sermons.

Who gives sermons? Now, this is the judge trying to trip us up. You are giving sermons. No. I am not appointed to give sermons. The one appointed for it gives them. If I were to say otherwise, I would at once take the blame on myself, I mean. I, unfortunately, don't say so, he says. Well, what do these tapes say? We record tapes. The children listen. I said, I run a factory. Yes, I had a factory.

The wives ask their husbands. And I explain it to their husbands. But since the husbands can't explain it to their wives at that level, we record tapes. They have their wives listen, I said. Well, you say one should not join the European Economic Community, you say so. I'm not the one saying it, I said; are you lying, he said. Look, brother, it's written like this here, he said. Aren't these (?) of yours? Yes, it's my tape, but I'm not the one saying it, I said. Well, who is saying it on this tape, he said. If you're not saying it, Allah is saying it. By Allah, He says do not join that European Economic Community, I said.

Do not be with them, He says, I said. He knows that too. In Surah Al-Baqarah, write it, he says. Whatever he said, when he backed down before the truth, before even sending the acquittal, with the path of the courts open, he says, for the defendant's acquittal. See, we became defendants. Yes.

Now why did I tell this? In that fine custody, I said reaction isn't like that, it's like this; many high-ranking officers also had their homes there, they were listening to me. I went out into the garden, gathered the children around me, and started explaining. (?), he said like this.

They are human too, sound-minded people, believing people; their eyes welled up, they tell me. Yes, no one interferes with us that night. There one of the commanders says to me exactly this toward morning: Hodja, he says, we examined these tapes of yours, whether there is any crime in them. Your words are like (?) coming out of a lamp, he says. They wound us deep down, he says. They guide our hearts, our hearts, they guide us ourselves, he says. He says this. Like (?) words coming out of a lamp. Yes. Because we tell the truth. We tell the truth, what is right. Praise be to Allah. Yes, in the footsteps of the prophets, to people, prophets, as a prophet he came. As the last prophet from the people of the Children of Israel, Jesus son of Mary was sent.

Allah Almighty saying in the footsteps of the prophets is like a beam of light coming from the same lamp. Here, because that commander spoke these words to me, I too say this. I say it about the prophets too. Just as he spoke these words to me, we too speak them so, of course. What do we say? Allah Almighty saying in the footsteps of the prophets, like a beam of light coming from the same lamp, just as the other prophets conveyed the truth, his duty likewise, as a conveyer of the truth, is to make Allah's commands known to people.

Because he educates people, he is a source of light and guidance for people. In the second meaning, meant is the one who would come after Jesus as mercy and light to the worlds, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): that he would come, with (?) of his features, is the good news. Yes.

Allah Almighty sends verses to those who are mindful, to the God-fearing, as guidance and admonition.

Yes.

Here we have left a letter out, let us correct that too.

Whoever abides by Allah's verses, they will be among those who attain salvation, we say. Actually we don't say it; they are Allah's verses.
