Translation

Because they took usury (interest) although they were forbidden from it, and because they unjustly claimed the possessions of people, We have prepared a severe punishment for those among them who are infidels.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) sent His laws to the people so that they would not be harmed or wronged on earth. Although Allah told this people that you are forbidden to deal in interest, they disobeyed Allah's command and did not stop themselves from eating people's wealth unjustly, considering interest as a trade and commerce.

They disbelieved in Allah and the Prophets sent by Allah (swt). Allah has prepared a painful torment for those among them who disbelieved after such miracles.

The meaning of a painful torment is that they will live in Hell, the abode of eternal torment, for many thousands of years, according to the days of the Hereafter, in torments, burnings and agonies and groans, one after the other. After all kinds of unimaginable torments, Allah (swt) will make them taste and feel nothing. In that case they will remain as the logs of hell.

What is said in the video

'And because of their taking interest though they had been forbidden it, and their consuming people's property unjustly, and We have prepared a painful punishment for those of them who disbelieve,' He says. And He tells us: for those of them who disbelieve. Look, He does not mean all of them. Among them there are Muslims who cannot reveal themselves. Yes. In the word of Allah Almighty there is no (?).

So that people would not be harmed and would not suffer injustice on earth, Allah Almighty has sent His laws to people.

Yes.

Although this people was told: dealing in interest is forbidden to you — they saw interest as buying and selling and as trade, did not listen to Allah's command, and did not refrain from unjustly consuming people's property. Whoever, He says, accepts interest like trade, like the profit of buying and selling, He says, has left the religion, is an unbeliever, He says, denies the verse. Yes, that is, their being unbelievers, He says, is (?) interest. 'Buying and selling is only,' He says, 'like it,' that is, like profit and loss, He says. When they denied the prophets Allah Almighty sent, and Allah, they became unbelievers.

After so many miracles, for those among them who disbelieved, Allah Almighty prepared a painful punishment. Painful, that is, He prepared a very painful punishment. We pass over these easily here, in words. While explaining these, try to taste this painful punishment in your own self. Imagine it like this. If a brazier of fire fell on you right now, what would you do? Or if someone with a (?) in his hand held this fire on you, what would you do? You are burning. Can you taste the pain here? If you fear Allah's word like this, if you turn to Allah like this, you will very quickly be freed from the evils of your nafs.

When they denied the prophets Allah Almighty sent, and Allah, these became unbelievers. After so many miracles, for those among them who disbelieved, Allah Almighty prepared a painful punishment. The meaning in 'painful punishment': in hell, the abode of eternal punishment, according to the days of the world of the Hereafter, for many thousands of years, their punishments unceasing, one after another, amid torments, burnings, and moaning in agony, is their living. Yes. After every kind of unimaginable punishment, Allah Almighty will bring them to a state where they no longer taste and feel. In this state they will remain as logs of hell.

That is, Allah Almighty says in the verse: after they have suffered punishment there for many thousands of years, they will no longer feel and taste. The verse is exactly like this. After they have suffered punishment there for many thousands of years, they will no longer feel and taste. Many thousands of years, He says, look. If a thousand years here is like one day of the world of the Hereafter, can you imagine many thousands of years, and can you imagine an unending, endless, never-ceasing punishment within many thousands of years? In the end what happens? In the end Allah again lets His mercy reach them, His mercy. But His word is His word, He does not take them out of hell; eternally people of hell. He removes their nerve senses. Just as when a person has an operation, they give him morphine, they numb his nerve senses.

Then the person is operated on, cut open, (?) feel no pain at all. After the effect of the morphine wears off, he feels pain. So Allah Almighty will remove their nerve senses. They will no longer feel and taste. From then on they will remain there as eternal logs of hell. There is no getting out of their fire. Yes. Only they will not feel and will not taste. Yes.
