Verily, there is a great lesson in this. But most don’t believe.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) tells us what people will say in the Hereafter. Allah (swt) also wants us to believe in the unseen by telling us what will happen to people in the Hereafter and how those who see those torments will regret it. But we do not believe in Allah by using our intellect. In this respect, if we, the people, had used their minds a little bit, they would have taken lessons from the Verses that were told to people, and they would have returned to the Truth.

What is said in the video

Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 103: Surely there is a great lesson to be drawn in this, but most of them do not believe. First, as the counterpart of the verse I explained this evening. Here Allah Almighty tells us what people will say in the Hereafter. Again, Allah Almighty, by making known what will befall people in the Hereafter and how those who see those torments will regret, asks us to believe in the unseen. But we do not use our reason and believe in Allah Almighty. So if we, that is, people, used their reason a little, from the verses told to people they would draw wisdom and turn to the truth.

Yes, here Allah Almighty is addressing those of the past. What does He say? They will hear no good news there at all. Where? In Hell. What is this good news? That is, "One day you will get out of there," or "after such and such time, however long it is, in the end you will be saved" — they hear no such news. Already in the previous verse: it is again because they are seeking the Allah of their imagination. They picture Allah, the absolute Judge of that Day of Reckoning, as an official of the Allah of their imagination. Therefore they still wait for the Allah of their imagination and, against the Allah who cast them into Hell, await the day they will take revenge.

That is why Allah declares: they will hear no good news there at all. That is why there are many lessons to be drawn from these verses. If we do not heed these lessons, if we do not look back at our past, then, within the circle of disaster, we will ruin our Hereafter and be exposed to the fire of Hell. Allah protect us. In this world, if a needle or a splinter pricks our hand, we cannot bear the pain. Now just imagine the torment there. What does Allah Almighty say about Pharaoh? For now, He says, he is in a torment. But the severest torment is in the Hereafter, He says. So he is now suffering the torment of the grave.
