Translation

And verily, your Lord is Azeez (Exalted) and Raheem (the One Who very generously accepts repentance).

Tafsir

Allah (swt) is the absolute victor and sovereign in His property. No creature can make Allah (swt) incapacitated. In this respect, since all creatures are the servants of Allah, Allah (swt) is absolutely victorious over His creatures. No one can act above Allah's commands and no one can stand against Him.

Except for those who are unjust to their souls, who buy Hell in the abode of eternity and aspire to torment. On earth, they live their own desires. But in the Hereafter, on the Day when Allah alone is the judge, they will suffer eternal torment. Allah, out of His mercy, sends Prophets to people who live in the unseen realm, and when people are guided, their previous sins are forgiven to them.

If they use their reason and seek refuge in Allah's great mercy and turn back to their Lord, they will be among those who will be saved. That is victory. This is the true victory. For who can have a better victory in the land of eternal bliss than those who gain eternal peace and attain their desires and wishes.

What is said in the video

Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 175. Surely your Lord, He — it says — how much He emphasizes His Essence, surely, I mean, besides Allah there is no other god, He, I mean Hüvallâhüllezî lâ ilâhe illâ hû — besides Allah, who subsists by His Essence, there being no other god, He, Allah, is Absolutely Dominant and Possessor of vast mercy. Absolutely Dominant — how is He absolutely dominant? Whatever He created, from the atom to the globe, He created within His rule; of course He is absolutely dominant. There is nothing apart from His Face. He is the Possessor of mercy, it says. That is, however much We created these worlds, We did not create them, Our creatures, in order to wrong them, He says.

Yes. Allah Almighty is absolutely dominant and sovereign in His dominion. No created being can render Allah Almighty powerless. Therefore, because all created beings are Allah's servants, Allah Almighty is absolutely dominant over His creatures. No one can act above Allah's decrees, and no one can stand against Him. When I say within His decrees, here: no one can break this program He has programmed. But they go against His commands. Who? Non-Muslims. Yes. He sent the Quran. As a mercy to the worlds: O people! That there is no other god besides Allah, that the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel are in the Quran, that all prophets are true, and that there is no god besides Allah, and if you turn to another, you wrong your own selves — thus Allah Almighty in the Holy Quran proves the existence of His Essence to us with all kinds of events.

Except those who wrong their own selves and buy hell in their eternal abode, those who ask for punishment.

They live out their own desires on earth. But in the hereafter, on that day, on the day when judgment belongs to Allah alone. Let's put a point here. For example: on a day when judgment belongs only to Allah, it says. Now people say judgment belongs to Allah. Why should judgment belong to Allah? I make judgments. Judgment. With my judgment I will earn reward and sin. Will is of two kinds: universal will and partial will. Universal will judges, and partial will judges too. So when you say judgment belongs to Allah, only to Allah, you remove the human's will from him and tie all will to Allah, and it reaches the point where Allah made a person do even the evils he did.

So: 'But there is a verse: judgment belongs to Allah alone' — there is no such verse. There is a verse like this: On that day judgment belongs to Allah alone. What is it? On that day judgment belongs to Allah alone. If you remove 'that day' and say judgment belongs to Allah, it won't do. You try to make the bird fly in a half-baked way. On that day judgment belongs to Allah alone. Which day? In the hereafter, at the Great Court, beside Allah Almighty there is no other god who would judge, that he might pass judgment. So on that day, at that Great Court, besides Allah who will call us to account, there is no one who will judge. So on that day judgment belongs to Allah.

The verse is like that anyway. If you leave out half of this verse and say what comes after the half, what do you do? You fall into kufr. If you say it deliberately. You attribute the evils people commit to Allah. Yes. Indeed, on the day when judgment belongs to Allah alone. These are subjected to eternal punishment. (?) Although there is no god besides Allah Almighty, they associated partners with Allah. They lived within Allah's commands. They sought a god besides Allah. They worshipped other creations of Allah. They ate and drank the sustenance Allah gave and attributed it to others. In Surah Ar-Rahman, again and again it says: Which of these blessings Allah has given do you deny?

Is there another god besides Allah, that all these blessings we eat and drink, though our Lord gives them, we should attribute to someone else?

Yes.

Yes. These are subjected to eternal punishment. So, because Allah is very forgiving and possessor of vast mercy, to people living in a lost world Allah Almighty, out of His mercy, sends prophets, and when people attain guidance, the sins they committed before are forgiven them. What does a person say? Alas, I have lived through a period of ignorance. If the person understands that there is no other god besides Allah, and that by deifying my nafs he chased after my nafs, and repents and seeks forgiveness, then Allah says: let Me forgive abundantly. Why so forgiving? Come on, he has deified his nafs this much.

Well, he regretted it afterwards. Why should Allah Almighty say 'ah' to a person? I did not create mankind free from error, He says. If they had not committed errors, I would destroy them and create servants who err, He says. So, because of our imperfect creation, for the sins we committed in the period of ignorance, we repent and seek forgiveness, find the truth, turn to Allah — if we repent and seek forgiveness, the Possessor of vast mercy forgives us in return for His verses.

Yes. Possessor of verses.

So, man uses his reason. If he takes refuge in Allah's vast mercy and returns to his Lord, they will be among those who attain salvation. The Prophet too, according to this verse I mentioned, says: even if your sins had reached the clouds in the sky. When you repent with an intense heart, Allah Almighty will change your bad deeds into good deeds, he says.

This is the victory. That is, turning to Allah after repenting, and in their repentance and seeking forgiveness showing sincerity — the people who are servants to Allah and ummah to His Beloved — their victory. This is the right, the true victory. Worldly victories are temporary, but the victory with Allah is everlasting. For who can win a finer victory than those who, in the abode of eternal happiness, gain eternal peace and attain their wishes and desires? So we have said.
