If we had given you a book, written on parchment, and if they had held it with their hands, the deniers would have said; “This is nothing but a real sorcery”.

Tafsir

The Holy Qur'an came to the Prophet (SAW) by revelation. The disbelievers persisted in not believing in Allah and His Prophet, and wished that the Holy Qur'an had come in the form of written documents. Even though the Torah came to Prophet Moses in the form of written documents, the disbelievers still did not believe. Since Allah (swt) knows what His creatures will want and say, He has ensured that the Qur'an is better understood by revealing the Holy Qur'an through revelation, not according to their desires and wishes, but according to the will of Allah (swt).

According to a narration. Nadr ibn Hars, Abdullah ibn Umayya and Nawfal ibn Huwayl came to the Prophet and said to him, "We will not believe in you until you bring us a Book from Allah and bring with it four angels to testify that this Book is from Allah. They say that this verse was revealed upon this.

What is said in the video

Al-An'am Surah, the seventh verse.

Had We sent down to you a book written on paper - Allah Almighty here now gives an example to those who deny. To those who deny. What does He now say to the Prophet (peace be upon him)? Had We sent down to you a book written on paper and they had touched it with their hands. With their hands. Yes. Still the deniers would have said, This is nothing but obvious magic. How does Allah Almighty know these things? In that address of Elestü bi-Rabbiküm He made a covenant with them, right; their desires and intentions He wrote for them as destiny, and within those destinies those characters He placed in them, right; it is from there that He tells it.

That's one.

The people of Salih ask for a camel to come out of a rock. A great miracle.

From that rock, a camel comes out. By the command of Allah Almighty, that camel, on a certain day, on a certain day of the week, the right to drink water belongs to this camel; no one else can take water. They are being tested, after all. On the other days, nobody will touch that camel; it will roam freely. But see, although people asked for such a miracle, their hearts still darken. With Satan's temptation, they cut the camel's legs and slaughter it.

Then what happens? Then (?) catches them. After living two or three days in their land, that shout seizes them. They collapsed on their knees where they were, it says. Yes. So will we still not take a lesson? Will we still call these magic? Still, using our minds, the sun, moon and earth system, fine, let's say He turned them around one another. The lunar system, the lunar calendar placed in the sky by Allah Almighty: did these, this lunar calendar, settle here by itself? Did these set up this order by themselves?

And people, to what He calls esfel-i safilin, the material world, the lowest of the low, when Allah Almighty sent them, did people come to exist here by themselves, on this earth?

If people had come into being on earth by themselves, since our father Adam, the same characters, people carrying the same genes, people, apart from the change of form, for Allah Almighty, who has endless forms, gave people of His forms too. By giving of that (?).

Did they come into being by themselves? When a person turns to himself, (?).

If a person uses his mind a little, we see that through death a person does not vanish. How do you see it? Where do you see a dead person? Do you see that person's soul in your dream? Then when the soul in you meets that soul, you see one another. Can you see something that does not exist? This is a glass in my hand. If I break this glass, lose it, can you see it? But even if you remove this glass and take it to a certain place,

the being in you, that is, your soul, which knows no material barrier, seeing that being, sees that it lives there. So, with a person's death his body becomes earth; the body is created from earth, it becomes earth; that a cell in it that does not rot, burn or vanish exists in that earth until the Day of Judgement, then on the Day of Judgement, with the Trumpet of Israfil, with that water called the (?) sea on the sixth level, that Allah Almighty rains it on that cell, and that cell grows and develops; We programmed you down to your fingertips, according to the verse where He says We programmed, the prints of those fingertips, since among billions, (?) even people, they do not match one another, with the same frequency and the same cells, with those fingerprints, down to the tips of your fingers, you (?) We create, He says. Yes.

This is Allah's power and might. And in this case, with what mind will you turn your back on Allah, with what mind will you make your nafs a god; (?) against this owner of power who brings into being from nothing, into egoism you will enter; to Satan, who is Allah's enemy, and with your nafs being an enemy to you, to your nafs and to the world's view of attraction you will pay heed. You will turn to these with the whims of your nafs, you will forget your Lord. Then you will say, I am clever, I am living.

Even madmen will laugh at you, madmen.

Yes.

So: had We sent down to you a book written on paper and they had touched it with their hands, still the deniers would have said, This is nothing but obvious magic.

The Holy Quran came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) by way of revelation. The disbelievers, that is, those who turned their backs on Allah, those outside the religion of Islam, resisted so as not to believe in the prophet. They (?) that the Holy Quran come as written documents. As written documents. Who sends down a book to you from the sky; if only a book were sent down with angels, of all of us, was this prophethood left to Abu Talib's orphan? If only prophethood had been given to someone in one of these two cities, to one, to someone in the two cities, that is, the two cities he means are Mecca and Medina, to one of their richest people. Allah, Allah!

Look at these people, their thoughts are always after material things. To those rich people in one of those two cities, had Allah Almighty given prophethood, you, by his wealth deceived, fooling your own nafs, I would have bowed to him. As one bows to kings. As one bows to oppressors. As one bows to wrongdoers. Yes. As one bows to people for the interests of hypocrites. But that Allah, that Allah, from among them, someone for whose sake such honoured worlds He created, He brings forth in this way. That is, He brings him forth as Abu Talib's orphan. So a person will not look at that orphan of Abu Talib.

He will not say, This is Abu Talib's orphan. By the word coming from that person's mouth, considering by whom he was sent and whose messenger he is, he will be valued accordingly.

This is where people go wrong.

There is much to be said here.

Believe me, it would take hours. But to one who understands, a mosquito is music; to one who doesn't, drum and pipe are too little. It is enough to settle for this much.

Earlier too, although the Torah came to Moses as written documents, the disbelievers still did not believe. Since Allah Almighty knows what His creatures will ask for and what they will say, not according to their desires and wishes but as Allah Almighty's will, the Holy Quran, by way of revelation, He willed to send down bit by bit. Not according to people's desires and wishes, in proportion to our Lord's will, in proportion to His command, He revealed the Holy Quran. Why did He do so?

Because the human mind is deficient: if only He had sent me a book, he says.

And I'd say, You sent him a book, if only You had sent me a book too; (?) him, they saw, let me see too, send me a book as well, I would say. So because human minds are deficient, Allah's (?). Since Allah is free from deficient attributes, He does not follow people's minds. He does not follow their whims. Since it would be unjust to those who come later, since it would be a deficiency in His justice, although it was written by the clean, pure hands of those angels, for, as we said, angels are a robot. They are programmed. Since they cannot step outside that program, although written by the pure hands of angels, the Qurans, the Quran, He gives to the Beloved of the Almighty, Muhammad (peace be upon him), into his heart, by way of communication, revealing it.

He gives it through revelation.

Revelation is the coming of the verses to the Prophet's heart. Of the verses. Inspiration

is the meanings corresponding to the verses being given to the heart of Allah's servants.

In this case some people say Gabriel (peace be upon him) revealed it, Allah forbid.

Because their knowledge is deficient, they attribute many things to Gabriel. Gabriel cannot reveal verses. Revealing belongs to Allah alone. It is Allah Almighty, who is beyond time and space, by way of communication to people's hearts speaking.

Why does Allah Almighty speak by way of communication? Let's open this up a bit too.

How do we hear our speech? The breaths we take into our lungs, as they pass through our throat, catch on the vocal cords and turn into a sound. The letters we utter, our tongue (?), vibrating in the air, reach our ears. By striking, like a (?), the things called the anvil and hammer in our ears, it is (?) in our brain, and we understand the speech. What is this? It is the speech of people within time and space. Since Allah Almighty is free from time and space, and since where there is no air sound does not travel, it is speech by way of communication, that is, within an electronic frequency. Within a frequency.

This belongs to Allah alone. It does not belong to Gabriel. Allah Almighty, on the 27th night of Ramadan, at Sidre-i Münteha, to the place called Kadir, when He sent down the Holy Quran, that is why we call it the Night of Kadir.

Here Allah Almighty, to the trustworthy Gabriel, the trustworthy Gabriel: whichever surah he was to take to the Prophet (peace be upon him), he would take that surah from Sidre-i Münteha, from that place called Kadir, and recite it to the Prophet. Allah Almighty (?). He had revealed it to the Prophet's heart.

Is there a verse on this, Hodja? That it is so? Of course there is. Look what Allah Almighty says. While I reveal the verse to your heart, He says, before it is finished, He says, do not move your lips.

How beautifully He says it. It comes by revelation. In this case, as Gabriel (peace be upon him) also recites that surah which our Lord revealed to the Prophet's heart, the Prophet becomes reassured. Now let people not say that Gabriel taught the Prophet. They say so anyway. That Gabriel taught the Prophet. The one created from His light, to whom Allah Almighty gave a part of His essence as soul, how could he teach him? That's one. Second: O Gabriel, who gives you this surah, he says, where do you get it from? O Messenger of Allah, I take it from behind a veil, he says. Next time you take that surah, he says, part that veil and look, he says, from whom you take it.

Gabriel (peace be upon him), when he takes the surah, parts the veil, and from whom he takes it he sees.

When he brings the surah, after the Prophet recites it: O Gabriel, from whom did you take this surah, he says. O Messenger of Allah, the giver is you, he says. The taker is you too. Yes.

The worlds were created for his sake.

Had it not been for you, I would not have created the worlds. Why: had it not been for you, I would not have created the worlds? Many people get stuck on this. Don't get stuck.

Let me explain it to you. Allah Almighty, a hidden treasure, willed that His essence be known. From His light He made Muhammad, then, giving him from His spirit, took him as a mirror to His essence. Mirror, mirror, mirat, mirror, He took him as a mirror to His essence. From his light He created the universe, and from his spirit, indirectly, people. So if He created the Throne and the Kursi from his light, without him would these have been created? He created from his light; so without you, the worlds would not have been created. So, I willed, I created you, I took you as a mirror to My essence, He says. If a person cannot grasp these sciences, in these verses, a person unaware of some verses, then of course we will fall into contradictions here.

Yes.

We continue. Many, here many meanings come from the verse, but by the time we tell these, the others go. Those that go, go like a traffic officer. There were many more places to explain here. If we catch them, we'll explain again, God willing.

Yes. As Allah Almighty's will, He sent down His Holy Quran by way of revelation bit by bit. Bit by bit.

As I said a moment ago, even if He had sent down a book, they would still have denied it. Allah Almighty has sent His verses so confirming and supporting one another that, if this were a human fabrication, you would find in it many mutually inconsistent words, He says. According to one report, Nadr ibn Harith, Abdullah ibn Umayya and Nawfal ibn Khuwaylid came to the Prophet and said to the Prophet: until from Allah you bring us a book, and with it four angels to testify that this book is from Allah, until you bring them, we will not believe you. This verse was sent down on that, they say.

Believe it if you like, or don't. Why were Paradise and Hell created? Allah Almighty says, A word has come forth from Us. Paradise and Hell. (?) according to the verse (?), since He knows what His creatures will do, and leaving their desires and wishes free, since He knows how they will deny Allah, Allah Almighty created His Paradise and Hell, the eternal abode of bliss, and for the punished, the eternal abode of torment. The Judge of judges, Eleysallâhu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, will assess those people according to the deeds they carried out. On that day when judgement belongs to Allah alone, in that supreme court, the Judge of judges, to all people, without injustice being done to anyone, will give everyone what they earned, in full, as the return for (?).

When we say 'in full' here, in full. We say it fulfilling Allah Almighty's attribute of justice. As for the attribute of mercy, now we open up this 'in full'. In full. To the punished, to the punished, as the return of what they earned it will be given, in full.

To the punished, the return of what they earned will be given in full. To those obedient to their Lord, to those who fulfil His command, in full it will be given. Out of His beautiful mercy, more will be given to them. For a good deed we have done, We give ten for one, seventy for one, a hundred for one, He says. In this case He will give everyone in full. He will not increase that of the punished. He will give their punishment in full, but to those who long for Allah, to the people of Paradise, after giving them in full too, He will give more from His mercy.
