Tafsir
In order to deny and disprove Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the disbelievers talked back and forth about him and asked for miracles. They said it was magic, even though they witnessed many miracles in front of their eyes. Now they have asked for a written Book from Allah and four angelic witnesses that this Book is from Allah. This is not difficult for Allah to do. But Allah's wisdom in not sending it is very great.
The first of the wisdoms is that Allah (swt) knew that the people who spoke like this were disbelievers (in Kalu Bela) and that He had written this as their fate in the covenant He had made with them and that they would not believe even if He showed them this miracle, so He did not show them this miracle.
The second wisdom is that if people ask Allah for a miracle and it appears and people again deny it, Allah will destroy that people by making a public case. He cleanses it from its roots. Since the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is (vema erselnake illa rahmeten lil alemin), and is alive among the people, Allah will not destroy them for the sake of His Prophet, whom He sent as a mercy to the worlds, and Allah will not do injustice, He will not show such requested miracles. This is in the interest of the people who ask for these miracles. But they cannot comprehend this because they are a people of unintelligent minds.
In the continuation of the verse, Allah declares that this miracle will occur in the way we have described. (If We had sent down such an angel, surely the work would have been finished, and they would not have been allowed to open an eye). The first meaning of this verse is that We used to destroy them, and they were not even given a glimpse, that is, We used to destroy them in an instant.
The second meaning is: (It is not difficult for Allah to keep watch over the heavens and the earth and all that is between them) According to the verse, all of His creations are under the view of His Divinity with the attribute of clairvoyance, so if these people saw this miracle and did not believe, even if they denied them one by one, We would have destroyed them even before they denied them. He says, "We would not even let them open their eyes.
What is said in the video
We will spend it reading the verses, God willing. Surah Al-An'am, verse 8. Now,
'If only an angel we could see had been sent down to Muhammad (peace be upon him) ', so, according to what those people said, they said it; the verse comes about it anyway. 'Had We sent down such an angel, the matter would surely have been settled, and then they would not have been given even the blink of an eye,' He says. What does this mean? We always say that when Allah Almighty sends a miracle, when He sends a miracle according to people's wishes and desires, if those people do not believe in that miracle, then they are accepting destruction. Destruction. And although the Prophet brings mercy to the worlds, Allah Almighty, because He knows they will not believe, does not send them that angel.
Why? Because for the sake of the Prophet He lifted the destructions. The destructions. Why did He lift destruction? Because a mercy to the worlds had come. Allah Almighty does not leave His word unfulfilled. He came as a mercy to the worlds. So for his sake the destructions were lifted. In this case, look how beautifully Allah Almighty puts it. 'If only an angel we could see had been sent down to Muhammad,' they said. 'Had We sent down such an angel', despite that demand of theirs, surely the matter would have been settled, for they still would not have believed. 'Then they would not have been given even the blink of an eye.' That is, We would have destroyed them again and again, He says.
The disbelievers, in order to belie and deny Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to refute him, talking all sorts of things about him, demanded miracles.
Here I want to tell you about the event in which the Prophet split the moon. We have put a full stop here.
The polytheists prepare an army. Sorry. They send word to an army called Habibi. Their commander Habibi, a very powerful commander of that time, or a tribe, the chief of that tribe named Habibi, or let's say its king, whatever. They send word and say: a prophet has sprung up in Mecca. The polytheists are saying this.
He does not accept the idols and so on. He claims that he is a prophet. We want you to put him in his place, they say. We will give you whatever you want, they say. We will give you whatever you want. Habibi prepares an army. An army. He has the army camp on a high place in Mecca.
Seeing this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) sends Abu Bakr and Ali to them.
Who are you, says Habibi. We are the Prophet's, well, cousin, and the other one is his father-in-law.
The Prophet, he says, he gives the order, bring him here. Ali stands up: yes, let us bring him here. But if you make any mistake and bring him here insulting him or roughing him up, look, we will stand up against you, he says.
Properly, very politely, the Prophet's, the envoys who came to the Prophet take him and bring him to Habibi. The Prophet is coming anyway (?).
Habibi says: for me to believe that you are a prophet, I have conditions for you, he says. Speak, he says.
I have a daughter who from birth is (?), blotched, very, he says, misshapen, that is, hunchbacked, he says. I have a daughter. She is (?), he says. (?). Only a prophet can heal this, he says. If you heal her, he says. If you heal her. If you stop the night and the day, he says, if you stop the night and the day, and if you split the moon in two, he says, I will believe that you are a prophet, he says. And the Prophet (peace be upon him) says, all right. Allah Almighty sends the command through Gabriel, through Jibril. O Messenger of Allah, accept the demands, he says. Accept what they say, he says.
And then the Prophet says, all right.
Abu Bakr as-Siddiq has doubts. O Messenger of Allah, all right, the girl may get well. All right, the moon may split. But how will time stop? The Prophet says to Abu Bakr as-Siddiq: O (?). Are these two miracles (?)? He will forget the third one, he says. He will forget.
No sooner has the Prophet accepted these than Habibi goes to his daughter's tent, and a girl as beautiful as the full moon comes running to her father, embraces him and says, father, believe that man, he is a prophet.
He is the prophet.
Upon this the Prophet waits for the night. Allah Almighty reveals to the Prophet. He says: O Muhammad, make yourself known to the moon, and after that give your command, He says. Night, a pitch darkness begins to fall. Darkness upon darkness. From the pitch darkness, fear enters people's hearts. Fear; Allah Almighty casts a fear into their hearts in that pitch darkness. Habibi calls out from the mountain, from there: O Muhammad, I have believed in your prophethood. Lift this pitch darkness, he says. I have believed in your prophethood. But the decision has been made.
This will be (?).
In that pitch darkness the moon appears in the sky, comes from the east, circles three times above the Kaaba and stays where it is.
Muhammad (peace be upon him) says: Ya qamar, ana Muhammad, inshaqq. That is, split. One piece goes to the west and one piece to the east. The Byzantine Empire sees it too. A prophet has appeared, they say. But even though they say so, they still do not become Muslims. After that the pieces join again. Can you imagine, in the face of such a great miracle, the people who still deny Allah, whose eyes are blind: Khatamallahu ala qulubihim wa ala sam'ihim wa ala absarihim ghishawah, wa lahum adhabun azim.
people with that veil over their eyes, that blockage in their ears, and their hearts sealed, people who turn their backs on Allah as friends of Satan, deifying their nafs, can you imagine their pride and arrogance? Even the punishment of hell is little for them; our Lord's mercy makes them subject to that punishment.
Yes.
So, 'If only an angel we could see had been sent down to Muhammad,' they said; 'had We sent down such an angel, the matter would surely have been settled, and then they would not have been given even the blink of an eye,' He says.
The disbelievers, in order to belie and deny Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to refute him, talking all sorts of things about him, demanded miracles. Although they witnessed many miracles before their eyes, they said, this is magic. Never mind the Prophet bringing miracles; Allah Almighty says in a verse: every day thousands of miracles appear before your eyes, but you are blind, you do not see. You are blind, you do not see. What miracle? Just look at what the ants carry to their nests. Look how the creatures around you carry out the duties programmed into them, how a creature, an animal gives birth and how the newborn at once hides out of fear of death, and its mother's tenderness toward it; an eye that sees these things, a person whose mind works, surely cannot attribute these miracles to nature.
These things cannot happen by themselves either.
Although they witnessed many miracles before their eyes, they said, this is magic. Now they demanded from Allah a written book, and four angels as witnesses that the book is from Allah. Doing this is not hard for Allah. It is very simple. What does Allah Almighty say? Had We wished, We would have come down from the sky among the clouds with angels and made them prostrate. But that does not mean obedience to Him. They obeyed out of fear. So people must know their Lord from the heart, with their reason, with their whole being, by their own wish and will. Only then will they have known their Lord.
Otherwise, someone came and put a gun to my forehead. Either you prostrate to me or I will kill you. Well, fine, I prostrate to you, I prostrate, but with my mind and heart I do not prostrate to you, I do not prostrate to you; and what does Allah Almighty say: when you face force, obey them, but do not do it from the heart, He says. Yes, now in this case, with Allah Almighty too, had you prostrated to Him out of fear, you would have said, I prostrated to You. Whereas I did not prostrate from the heart; this is partial free will. This is very important. The decision and judgment a person makes by his own will are his reward and sin.
Allah does not use His own will over us. That is why every person, since he is created free, is responsible for the deeds he does with his free thinking.
Yes.
Although they witnessed many miracles before their eyes, they said, this is magic. Now they demanded from Allah a written book and four angels as witnesses that this book is from Allah. Doing this is not hard for Allah. But the wisdom in Allah Almighty not sending this is very great, he says.
