In fact, Allah heard the word of those who said; “Allah is poor and we are rich”. We will write what they have said with their unlawful killing of Prophets. And We will say; “Taste the torment of fire”.
Tafsir
People who live in ignorance of the existence of Allah (swt) who created the universe out of nothing, people who cannot comprehend what this universe was created for and how it was created, people who are incapable of anything, people who claim what has been created and challenge the power that created it. What value can such people have in the sight of Allah and His Messenger?
People who have forgotten the purpose for which they were created, who eat and drink as much as their eyes see and think that they will die. People who do not compare how and for what purpose the universe was created, people who have a desire for the materials created by Allah, people who have the love of materials in their hearts, people who turn their backs on the owner of all these creations, people who own the creations, people who do not recognize the existence of Allah against Allah (swt), saying Allah is poor and I am rich. Allah (swt) against people who speak ignorantly, claiming the property of the Creator of nothing, thinking that it is their property, saying that Allah is poor and I am rich. Allah (swt) says in His verse, "We have heard the words of people who say, 'Allah is poor and I am rich. Allah is not only a hearer of their speech. He hears and knows the movements of even the particles He has created in the universe. Such people, those who are ignorant of Allah's existence, talk to each other in silence, whispering against Allah, as if Allah does not hear them. This shows that they live far away from Allah and do not recognize Him.
With this speech of theirs, Allah (swt) says, We have equated their sins with the sins of the prophets whom they killed unjustly. He says, "We will question such people who follow in the footsteps of their ancestors and rebel against Allah together with those who killed the prophets whom I sent. Because of their disbelief and evil deeds, they will suffer the torment of Allah in the Hereafter, and they will be left alone and will be told, "Taste this burning torment for what they disbelieved and did in this world. They will be tormented in the Hereafter, which is eternal and everlasting with no more death. People will enter Paradise and Hell with their souls, spirits and spirits. The bodies, on the other hand, will die for the second time in the Hereafter according to the verse (We will resurrect you twice and kill you twice) and the body created from earth will become earth again. Here eternity will remain on our soul.
The fire of Hell is such a fire that bodies cannot endure it. These torments are like the fearful torments people see in dreams. The torments of hell are not on our bodies, but the torments of our souls.
When the souls of people who have passed on to the hereafter as disobedient, disbelieving, unbelievers will be subjected to eternal torment in hell in the hereafter, people will cry out, "Where are you, death?". They will desire death, but since they have purchased a world that will never die again while they are in this world, they will be sent to the places they deserve according to the Verse that says, "What you have earned is the equivalent of your two hands".
This torment of Hell will be the inevitable end of those who are deceived by the pleasures of this transient world and who disobey Allah (swt) by lust for His creation.
What is said in the video
Indeed, Allah has surely heard the words of those who said, 'Allah is poor and we are rich.' What they said, together with their killing the prophets unjustly, We will record, and We will say: Taste the burning punishment. Pay attention: indeed, of those who said, 'Allah is poor and we are rich' – Allah has surely heard their words. In this case, in this case – look, (?) don't take it personally, don't you take it personally. Of other tariqas – look, it says so anyway – some tariqas – he doesn't say it of himself, of course, he hears it and says it. They say this about our Prophet: Ehed is Allah, Ehed is Ahmad.
Ehed onto Ahmad they pinned; they pinned Ehed onto another, because 'Kul hüve Allahu ehad' – Allah is ehad, it says here. Others – no one else can enter Allah's attribute. That is, they cannot use those attributes, cannot use that 'one'. For example, the attributes Rahman and Rahim belong to Allah alone. You cannot use them. Well, in this case, here too, of those who say 'Allah is poor, we are rich', 'Allah heard their words,' it says. The difference between them is about the same; 'one,' it says. What they said, We will record together with their killing the prophets unjustly – unjustly. Who said this?
Who says this?
The Jews. Because they killed people very unjustly, they killed prophets. Zechariah too: going to save his son, John, when he realized they were following him, he got inside a tree trunk, and the trunk they cut with saws. They sawed him there, they killed him. Like this they killed many prophets. So what does Allah Almighty say? We will record it together with their killing of those prophets, He says. And We will say: Taste the burning punishment. Isn't it the same in this world? In this world – isn't the world a likeness, a shadow of the hereafter? The world is the shadow and likeness of the hereafter. In this case, a crime you commit in the world – theft, Allah protect us – is a crime.
And from that, a crime. You took someone's due, swindled him, they proved it – that's a crime too. You wounded someone – that's a crime too. You killed someone – that's a crime too. They all add up and your sentence is given. And Allah Almighty – to those who say 'Allah is poor, we are rich': how can you say this? He has the power to bring into being from nothing. He created all these worlds. Allah Almighty, who created us in neediness, who created us dependent on His essence – from Allah Almighty you didn't take His creations, you didn't take them – you took them by swindling. Then you thought His property was yours and said, 'Allah is poor, I am rich.' Can this mind be called a mind?
We ask now: is this a person with a mind? And can these people's talk and their conduct be taken seriously? Of Allah Almighty, who created the universe from nothing, people living unaware of His existence; people who cannot grasp why this created universe was created and how it was created; people who, though they have no power over anything, claim the creations as their own and defy the Power that creates – such people. People who defy the creating Power. What value can such people have in the sight of Allah and His Messenger, we say. And what value can such people have in the sight of those who love Allah and His Messenger?
People who have forgotten their own (?) of being created, who think they will eat and drink as far as their eyes see, then die and be gone; people who, unable to reason out how and why the universe was created, longing for the matter Allah created, let the love of matter settle in their hearts; people who turn their backs on the owner of all these creations and claim the creations; people who, saying 'Allah is poor, I am rich', against Allah Almighty do not acknowledge Allah's existence. (?) I mean, not even a madman would say this. A madman, a madman in the asylum – not even he would say it. (?) he is unaware of himself.
Now, of those who, on earth, issue fatwas to themselves, thinking they pass for clever, who among themselves (?), among people every kind of intrigue spin, and in this case, only to possess the world's (?), do not even acknowledge the concept of morality – these people – what value do they have in the sight of Allah and His Messenger and of those who love Allah and His Messenger?
Even to call these 'human' would impair the attribute of humanity. The attribute of humanity. Because Allah created the human being very exalted. He says of him: I created the human in the most beautiful form. And He makes him the vicegerent of the earth. And He gives him of His spirit. And He makes him the noblest of creation. Then what does He say? A human is human by the deeds he does. By some of his deeds he is lower than an animal. They are like four-legged creatures roaming the earth, He says. So today, the animal we call an animal, upon the purpose for which Allah Almighty created it, performs a duty.
It has a duty. We even feel compassion for it. We show animals the care they need and try to protect them. The animal will fulfill its duty in the world, according to the duty our Lord created it for. It will complete the 17 thousand worlds. But since a human is free in his will, (?) those four- legged ones, he is more astray, He says.
So what value can such people have?
Allah Almighty, of the people who say 'Allah is poor, I am rich', declares (?) 'surely their words', it says. Allah Almighty not only hears their speech; of what He created in the universe, even the movements of the atoms He hears and knows. Never mind the atoms' movements – the movement of those atoms, inside the (?) those molecules, neutrons and protons, that is, the positively and negatively charged nuclei, as they spin around their own axes – He knows the sound they make. 'How do you know, Hodja?' I know it from the verse. Which verse is it? From the verse 'The heavens and the earth and what is between them have known the remembrance of your Lord' I know it. Yes.
Allah Almighty not only hears their speech. He hears and knows even the movements of the atoms He created in the universe. Such people, unaware of Allah's existence, as if Allah did not hear them, among themselves, quietly, against Allah, with one another they whisper and talk. This state of theirs, that they live very far from Allah and cannot recognize Him, it shows. What does it say? And how do we know? Again according to the verse: what lies in the farthest corner of your heart, He says, and of which you are unaware but which you need – We are aware of it, He says. We know them, He says. How does He know? Back at the (?) of 'Elestü bi-Rabbiküm', when we made a covenant with our Lord, our Lord, who wrote our wishes and desires, our aims, as destiny for us – through the characters He has given us, we know.
Because He programmed us, we know.
So for these words of theirs Allah Almighty says, 'We have held their sins, unjustly, equal to the sins of the prophets who were killed.' Such people who, following their ancestors' footsteps, rebel against Allah – along with those who killed the prophets I sent, We will interrogate them, He declares.
Remember what they say? We found our ancestors on this path. Shall we now abandon their footsteps? they say. And how beautifully Allah Almighty answers them. Even if your ancestors were on nothing, will you follow their footsteps? He says. How beautiful – it always appeals to reason, always to reason, always (?). And I keep telling you: use your reason, always. You are to use your reason.
There is no blessing as beautiful as reason. The Prophet (peace be upon him) describes reason to us so beautifully. 'I seek refuge in You from a life that brings senility,' he says. To Allah Almighty. What does the Messenger of Allah say? I seek refuge in You from a life that brings senility. So look how beautiful the virtue of reason is. I say so too, my Lord. If my mind is going to bring me senility, I seek refuge in You from it. I seek refuge in You from a mind that would bring senility. Our return will be to You anyway. So among people, this honorable attribute You created – don't let it be humiliated, I say. Take it.
Yes, from a life that brings senility (?).
Because of their denial and the evils they did, in the hereafter Allah's punishment they will meet, be left alone there, and as the recompense of their denial and deeds in the world it will be said: Taste now this burning punishment. What does Allah Almighty say? For those who go as non-Muslims: there they are without anyone and alone. Pay close attention. What are the verses? You need to know the verses well. One shouldn't answer according to a single verse.
Because all the verses support one another – so why shouldn't you answer by a single verse? Because with one verse you might think otherwise. But because the other verse supports it – with that one, this one, or another verse – since all the verses support one another, when they are gathered together, a whole emerges. The right answer comes out of it. Now, if it is said that they are without anyone and alone there, and they will taste the punishment of Hell, there will also be Muslims who come to Hell. In that case, will they too be without anyone and alone there? So, with their faith – the Prophet (peace be upon him) says: 'Until not a single one of my ummah remains in Hell, I will intercede for them,' he says. 'Only my ummah, only my ummah.' 'Until I take him out of there, I will (?) from Allah,' he says.
But pay close attention to the word. 'Until he is taken out of there, I will intercede with Allah. I will say: only my ummah,' he says. Do you know what the meaning here is? By Allah Almighty's attribute of justice, through the wrongs that person did, the punishment our Lord gives – he will deserve it. But because his faith reached perfection, because he is of my ummah, I will take him out of there – that is, I won't oppose the punishment Allah gives, he says. I won't oppose it. But because he is Muslim, because his faith reached perfection there, I will take that one of my ummah out of there too, he says.
Allah Almighty will grant him to him anyway. But for those who go as non-Muslims, they there are without anyone and alone. So: taste a burning punishment. May Allah protect us.
Yes, in the hereafter, which is eternal and everlasting, with no further death, a person will enter Paradise, and Hell too, with spirit, nafs and life. No bodies. (?) they would enter and come out with bodies. Today bodies burn with the world's wood and turn to ash. Whereas there, there is no turning to ash. That fire of Hell – Allah protect us – is not like the fires of the world. Then indeed some say it will evaporate, turn to ash, Allah protect us. No turning to ash, (?) none. Bodies were created from earth, they will become earth, they will die a second time. Spirit, nafs and life are one. Since spirits are immortal, the nafs and life will taste the punishment.
Yes. As for the bodies – according to the verse 'We brought you to life twice, you will be made to die twice' – dying a second time in the hereafter, the body created from earth will become earth again. So eternity remains upon nafs, life and spirit. The fire of Hell is such a fire that bodies cannot endure it. These punishments are like the fearful torments people see in dreams. The punishment of Hell too is not on bodies; it is the torment our spirits suffer.
The spirits of people who pass to the hereafter as rebels against Allah, deniers and disbelievers – in the world of the hereafter, in Hell, when they are subject to eternal punishment – people will cry 'Destruction', that is, 'Death, where are you?' The verse – we're writing it in spoken language.
'O death, destruction, where are you?' they will say, Allah Almighty says of them. But there is no more death, He says. Because spirits are immortal. Yes, there is no more death. Those deaths are upon bodies. I gave it to you as a trust. To prove what kind of person you are, to make yourself a witness to how you used that trust, I sent you to the world, the material world, the unseen world. If you want, go ahead now – there's no return from this anymore. Why not? Because your characters and destinies, your characters are the same. Those characters will not change. Your wishes and desires were already granted to you as your aim.
And with those wishes and desires there's no turning back for you. Why? Because against your Lord who created you, with feelings of revenge against your Lord you are filled. You are waiting for the Lord of your imagination. He will come, save you, and you will take revenge on Allah. There are some who say this in the world too. I heard it with my own ears.
God forbid, I don't lie. Allah protect us. (?) I saw, I heard: 'We will take revenge on Allah,' he says. Son, how can you (?)? In this world the Creator is Allah; Satan's creator too is Allah. How can you take revenge on that Creator? Even though I said this, he gets terribly angry like this. 'We will take revenge on Him,' he says. You can't change anyone's destiny. We enjoined the good; the rest is up to you. Yes.
The spirits of people who pass to the hereafter as rebels against Allah, deniers and disbelievers – in the world of the hereafter, in Hell, when they are subject to eternal punishment – people will cry 'Destruction', that is, 'Death, where are you?' They will long for death. But since a world with no more death, while in the world they bought it – according to the verse 'what you earned is your own recompense' – to everyone what they deserve and the recompense of what they earned will be given in full. In full. No one will be wronged (?). So, deceived by the pleasures of this transient world, longing for Allah Almighty's creations – for people who oppose Allah, this punishment of Hell will inevitably be their end.
May Allah protect us from such an outcome. All of us.
