Translation

A remembrance (and admonishing) has been given. We never oppress.

Tafsir

Certainly, these cruel tribes were warned with perseverance and insistence. Prophets were sent. They were invited to the Truth with warnings. But when these cruel tribes did not come to their senses, they sought their own destruction.

Allah (swt) is not a tyrant so that He can take pleasure in tormenting or tormenting people. Allah is exempt from such things. So the people whom Allah destroyed were those who were cruel to their own souls. They are those who disbelieved in Allah and His Prophets despite being invited to the Truth. When warnings and miracles do not help, Allah will eradicate these people and provide life for the people behind them, so that they will not be bad examples for the next generation, and so that they will not corrupt the generations to come.

Verse 209 of Surah Ash-Shu'ara. Aren't the verses beautiful? What beauty it intends for people. If man were governed by the verses, if he did not cling to this passing world but built up the world for his hereafter, for his hereafter, if he respected human rights and law, and toward man, whom Allah created most honorable, in (?), in respect, did not fall short, the earth would turn into a festive atmosphere. A festive atmosphere. Look, even if siblings in a family argue, the family reunites later. A family is a whole. In Islam too, since Muslims are brothers, Islam is a whole. But the non-Muslim, to divide Islam, spread his own ideologies into Islam.

His own filth, within Islam, which would tear man's dignity and honor to pieces, his own immoralities he began to keep alive in Islam. In this way Islam was divided. Our brotherhood was divided too. But even though our brotherhood has been divided, if in their hearts the light of faith is only as big as the head of a needle, a pin, with a feeling of "one of us", the moment he sees the truth he embraces his brothers. So now, as a nation, it is time for us too to set aside our hostilities, our grudges against one another, our blood feuds, and for our state, our homeland and our nation, and even more strongly for our religion and our faith, our honor, to stand up. It is time for unity and togetherness.

Our state, I mean, abroad

is fighting purely for Islam. We have no eye on any state's land. To give these people life, to stop the blood of the oppressed, so that the sigh of the oppressed is not left unanswered, it is fighting. In this situation we cannot be divided.

So never break our unity and togetherness. Explain these things nicely to our people too. Yes.

Verse 209. In Surah Ash-Shu'ara's 209th verse a great admonition was made. How beautifully Allah Almighty says it. Zikrâ — We mentioned, We said, We made a great conveyance of the message. Ve mâ künnâ zâlimîn. We are not unjust, says Allah Almighty. Surely We, I mean, gave a great admonition. That is, We explained the truth to them thoroughly. But they persisted in their disbelief. In this situation, so that to what would come after, or to those people, they would not show their own ways and make them suffer oppression too, they themselves asked for their own destruction. We are not unjust, He says.

They themselves asked for injustice.

Does a person ask for injustice? Now look how beautifully Allah Almighty makes Himself known, doesn't He? How beautifully He gives us signs through His verses. We do not call to account any generation We have not informed, He says. Well, if you now turn your back on all of Allah's verses, on Allah who created these worlds turn your back, and eat and drink and deny Him, did Allah throw you into Hell, or did you throw yourself into Hell? So then, Allah is the enemy of no soul. Man is the enemy of his own self.

So then, so as not to be his own enemy, man is obliged to turn away from his nafs and bow to Allah, and for the blessings Allah gives obliged to give thanks, and, in order to give thanks for these blessings Allah gives, compared to the rest of the disbelieving world, his prayer, one of Allah's five commands, to perform standing, in the tahiyyat, in prostration. And the verse "I will make you witnesses over the other nations" he must obey. For a person who does not do this, how he will depart with his faith is doubtful. A great admonition has been given. Zikrâ ve mâ künnâ zâlimîn. We are not unjust, says Allah Almighty.

Surely, to these unjust peoples admonitions were made with determination and insistence. Prophets were sent. They were invited through warnings to the Truth. But when these unjust peoples did not mend their ways, they themselves asked for their own destruction.

Allah Almighty is not unjust, to take pleasure in the torments done to people or in the punishments He gives them. God forbid, Allah is free of such things. So the people Allah destroys are peoples who are unjust to their own selves. Despite being invited to the truth, they deny Allah and His prophets. With the destruction of these unjust people, on whom warnings and miracles had no effect, so that they are not bad examples to what comes after, and so that the generations to come are not corrupted by them either, Allah uproots these people and provides life for the people after them. That is, as they said to Noah: we saw our forefathers this way, it says.

Even though the peoples were destroyed, Allah Almighty addresses them like this. Though little time had passed over the destroyed peoples, how they came to resemble their forefathers, He says. That is, (?). Yes.
