Translation

Those who believe and commit salih deeds, who remember/mention Allah often and defend themselves when they encounter injustice, are the exceptions. Those who commit injustice; will soon know what, which destination they will be returned to.

Tafsir

Except among the poets are those who believe and do righteous deeds. They remember Allah a lot and mention Him in their couplets. Such poets are different from other poets.

In the time of the Prophet (s.a.w.), the Shu'ara and Muslims were kept away from such deviant poets. These people used to remember Allah abundantly with their faith, and they used to make people love Islam with their couplets.

If poets speak poetically in order to make people live the religion and speak the Truth, this is permissible and they can speak. But to praise people in poetry falsely and with qualities that people do not have, because it is contrary to the verses of Allah (swt), they are deviators. They are liars. They are the people who change the world for the hereafter.

People who remember Allah in abundance and encourage people to live the religion of Islam with their poetic words are different from those who defend themselves when they are wronged. To which return will those who have done injustice be turned. Soon they will know where they have returned to. Allah will make all souls taste death, then all souls will be returned to Allah. They will be held to account for what they did in this world. Those who commit atrocities will surely be rewarded for their atrocities in the face of Allah's justice.

What is said in the video

Except, it says, except — Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 227 — except those who believe and do good deeds, who remember Allah much and, when they are wronged, defend themselves; they are different.

Those who do wrong will soon know to what return, to what end they will be turned back, it said.

But among the poets, those who believe and do righteous deeds are excepted. They remember Allah much and mention Allah in their couplets. Such poets are separate from the other poets. At the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), the Muslim poets were kept apart from such misguided poets. These people, with their faith, remembered Allah abundantly, and with their couplets they made people love the religion of Islam and filled them with fervor. In fact, to those who complained to the Prophet, saying these are poets too, the Prophet said: they, he says, praise Allah, he says, they remember Him. They increase people's, he says, longing for Allah, he says.

Yes. If poets speak poetically in a way that leads people to live the religion and speak the truth, this is permissible. They may speak. But when, falsely and with traits people do not have, praising people in poems goes against the noble verses of Allah Almighty, these are misguided, they are liars, they are people who exchange the world and the Hereafter. Those who remember Allah abundantly and with their poetic words encourage people to live the religion of Islam, who defend themselves when they are wronged, are different. Those who do wrong: to what return will they be turned? Soon these too will know the place they return to.

Allah Almighty will make every soul taste death, then all souls will be returned to Allah. They will be called to account for what they did in the world. Those who commit oppression will surely, before the justice of Allah Almighty, see the recompense for the oppression they committed. Yes.
