Tafsir
Allah (swt) has revealed that the Holy Qur'an came by revelation from Allah Himself to the heart of the Prophet (pbuh), and He has narrated the events of the Prophets of the past and what was written in their Books in the Holy Qur'an in order to prove to the people that the Qur'an is a true Book.
After killing the Copt in Egypt and fleeing, Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' met Shu'ayb 'alaihis-salâm' in Medina, and let us summarize the essence of the verses that we will explain in the future and return to our subject by briefly explaining them here.
Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' said that if he worked for Shu'ayb 'alaihis-salâm' for eight years, he would give him one of his daughters. Because Shu'ayb 'alaihis-salâm understood that Musa 'alaihis-salâm was a gem. Then Shu'ayb (peace be upon him) said, 'If you work for two more years, that will be more than you', and they called Allah as a witness.
Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' spent eight years with Shu'ayb 'alaihis-salâm' and married Shu'ayb 'alaihis-salâm''s daughter. After this situation, Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' wanted to go back to Egypt.
Continuing with the verse, Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' set out to return to Egypt and night fell. As they traveled through the desert in the rain and cold, they passed by the sacred Tuva. At this time, a fire appeared in the eyes of Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm'. Then he said to his wife, "You wait here, in case I come across someone near the fire, I will learn the way, or I will bring you a fire from there and warm you.
What is said in the video
We have come to the seventh verse of Surah An-Naml.
Recall when Moses said to his family: What did he say? Now he sees a light, you see. Probably over there. Indeed, I have seen a fire. Yes. That place.
I will go and bring you news from there. Or I will bring a piece of fire. I hope you will warm yourselves, it says.
He left Egypt and went away. After he killed the Copt, Prophet Shuayb's — it is Shuayb, isn't it? He married Prophet Shuayb's daughter. Prophet Shuayb also understood that he was a prophet. Sir, to be given the daughter, he will serve 7 years — no, 8 years. Plus 2 years depend on the thing, on his wish. Then he has a child. He wants to come back to Egypt. On the way, in the Tih desert, he sees a fire at night. Now we will explain this to you. Recall when Moses said to his family: Indeed, I have seen a fire. I will go and bring you news from there. Or I will bring a piece of fire. I hope you will warm yourselves. Why?
Deserts are cold at night; by day hot, scorching hot, and at night freezing cold. Allah Almighty, that the Quran came from Allah Himself to the heart of the Prophet (peace be upon him) by revelation, the events of past prophets, and what is written in those prophets' own books — by narrating these in the Quran, He proves to people that the Quran is a true Book; that is what it is for. After Moses (peace be upon him) killed the Copt in Egypt and fled, he comes upon, in Midian, Shuayb (peace be upon him). Summarizing here the essence of the verses we will explain later, telling it briefly, let us return to our subject.
If Moses (peace be upon him) works 8 years for Shuayb (peace be upon him), one of his daughters he will give him, he says. Because Shuayb (peace be upon him) understands that Moses (peace be upon him) is a jewel. Then Shuayb (peace be upon him) says: if you work two more years, that is extra from you. Thereupon they take Allah as witness. Moses (peace be upon him) completes his eight years with Shuayb (peace be upon him) and marries the daughter of Shuayb (peace be upon him). After this, Moses (peace be upon him) wants to return to Egypt. Continuing with the verse, Moses (peace be upon him) sets out to return to Egypt, and night falls.
As they continue on their way in the desert, in rain and cold, they pass by sacred Tuwa. At that moment a fire appears before the eyes of Moses (peace be upon him). Thereupon he says to his wife: you wait here; if perhaps by the fire I come across someone, I will learn our way, or from there a fire I will bring you and warm you, he said.
