“Throw your staff.” When he saw it moving like a snake, he ran away without looking back. (He was told), “Oh Moses! Do not fear, because a Prophet does not fear in My presence.”
Tafsir
That Allah is the God of Nuri who appears in the form of fire is supported by this verse. O Moses! The fact that he said, "Do not be afraid, for the prophets do not fear in my presence" proves that Allah (swt) is the Nuri Ilahi whom Hazrat Musa (as) saw as fire.
Allah (swt) wants to prove to Hazrat Musa (Moses) that He is Allah by showing him a miracle to make his heart satisfied. O Moses! Throw your staff. When Hazrat Musa (as) threw his staff, he saw a snake slithering on the ground. Frightened by this, Hazrat Musa starts to run away without looking back. But Allah (swt) continues to call out to Hazrat Musa (as). O Moses! Do not be afraid, the Prophets are not afraid in the presence of Allah.
Prophets are the distinguished servants of Allah. These Prophets are created from the spirit of the Prophet (SAW). Therefore, Allah sends them to people to entrust them with the Truth. In this respect, they are valuable people in the sight of Allah.
Prophets, on the other hand, do not fear Allah because they are devoted to Allah. With this fearlessness, they convey the commands of Allah (swt) to people and fulfill their duties towards the servants of Allah (swt). They serve people for the sake of Allah and invite people to Allah by explaining Allah's religion to them.
Allah (swt) says in the Verse: "Who is more eloquent than he who explains Allah? Prophets, too, always tell people about Allah. They want to prevent people from evil and guide them to good deeds. They frighten people with the punishment of Allah (swt) and delight them with Paradise. This elevates the Prophets in the sight of Allah. Therefore, the Prophets are not afraid when they are in the presence of Allah. On the contrary, they trust and rely on Allah Himself.
It is here that Allah has given good news to Moses that he would become a Prophet.
What is said in the video
Surah An-Naml, verse 10.
Throw down your staff! When Moses threw the staff and saw it writhing like a snake, he turned and, without looking back, fled. He was afraid.
We said to him: O Moses, do not fear! For in My presence a prophet does not fear.
The heirs of the Prophet do not fear either.
Yes. Because they are heirs.
That the divine light appearing as fire is Allah is, by this verse too, supported. His saying, 'O Moses, do not fear! For in My presence prophets do not fear,' itself — that the divine light Moses (peace be upon him) saw like fire is Allah Almighty — proves. Allah Almighty, to prove to Moses (peace be upon him) that His essence is Allah, wants to show a miracle and set Moses' heart at rest. He says: O Moses, throw down your staff. And when Moses (peace be upon him) throws his staff, what does he see? On the ground a snake is writhing. Frightened by this, Moses begins to flee without looking back.
But Allah Almighty continues calling, calling to Moses (peace be upon him). O Moses, do not fear; prophets do not fear in Allah's presence, He declares. Prophets are Allah's distinguished servants. These prophets, from the spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him), were created.
Let me tell you the meaning of 'His distinguished servants' here, so that — they are not distinguished ones selected from among people. With parts created from the spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him), the prophets created are the first, the first ones, that is, created from the spirit of the Prophet, these are the first ones; in one narration, 124 thousand prophets, they say. These are the first; that is why all prophets say, I am the first of Islam. Yes, here, when we say distinguished ones: because they were created from the spirit of the Prophet's first light, they are distinguished above people, not chosen, that is, pay attention, not ones Allah Almighty chose; these are the first He created, the first created ones, the first created by Allah, our Lord.
Then from their spirits He also creates the spirits of their peoples, and the prophets — to whichever people, at whichever time, a prophet is to go, He sends that prophet at that time to his people as a father and as an elder, as a messenger. Yes.
But Allah Almighty continues calling to Moses (peace be upon him). O Moses, do not fear. Prophets do not fear in Allah's presence, He declares. Prophets are Allah's distinguished servants. These prophets, from the spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him), were created. Therefore Allah, for them to convey the truth to people, sends them.
They are people precious in Allah's sight. Prophets, being devoted to Allah with their hearts, do not fear Allah. Why are they devoted to Allah with their hearts? And why do they not fear? Now Allah Almighty, after creating, in the spirit of the Prophet, so many prophets: I, to your peoples, you — I am quoting a verse, not from my own head. I will send you to your peoples as prophets. I will send you as messengers. Do you accept, He says. We accept, they say. And I am with you among the witnesses, says Allah Almighty. So when Jonah fled from his people: if I had not been among those bearing witness with him, he would have remained lost in the belly of the fish until the Day of Judgment, it says.
Yes. This is a verse too.
Do you see the witnessing, our Lord's witnessing? Because he will be a witness over his people. That is why He takes him out and sends him to his people again. And his people become Muslim.
With this fearlessness they convey Allah Almighty's commands to people. They fulfill their duties toward Allah Almighty's servants. For Allah's sake they serve people. By telling people about Allah's religion, they invite people to Allah. And Allah Almighty, in a verse: who is better in speech than one who tells of Allah, He declares. Prophets, too, always tell people about Allah. They want to keep people from evils and direct them to good deeds. They warn people with Allah Almighty's punishment. They gladden them with Paradise. This state (?) the prophets in Allah's sight. Therefore prophets do not fear when in Allah's presence.
On the contrary, they trust in Allah Himself and rely on Him. So Allah Almighty, here, to Moses (peace be upon him), that he will be a prophet, has given the glad tidings.
